Do you like Pokemon battles but not the hassle of properly training your monsters?

Do you just want to battle competitively without paying money for a cartridge?

Do you just plain get bored easily?

Why not try a Pokemon simulator? This particular sim is easy to download, install, and use; and it's not too taxing on your computer. It looks a bit nicer and is more polished than Shoddy Battle, its more well-known counterpart, which is why I'm recommending this one instead.

Anyway, if you're interested, follow the link and download the software - like I said, it's not too hard to figure out. Match-ups can just be posted here, or arranged via PMing, or whatever. For simplicity's sake, it's probably a good idea to just log on to the Beta Server, which is the first one on the list and has the most people. Just so there's no confusion.

Tiers won't be regulated - rather, whoever is organizing a match should agree on which Pokemon are allowed or not beforehand between the two of them. For example, no one is going to force you to use only OU Pokemon, unless that restriction is specifically laid out ahead of time. This is so that you can just use your favorite Pokemon more readily without mucking around with the tier system. Just make sure your opponent is okay with it before you bring out a Rayquaza to counter his Charizard; likewise, just realize that if you're using lower-tier Pokemon, your opponent is under no obligation to do the same.

The same goes for battle clauses such as Sleep, OHKO, Freeze, Evasion, and so on - by default, they'll be allowed, but chances are you'll want to place some restrictions.

Enjoy.
