Just wondering if anyone else plays MTG, be it IRL, on MTGO, Duels of the planeswalkers, etc. Curious because besides gaming, this is my second biggest hobbies and I'm always looking for people to talk shop with on this. Cool

I used to play Magic, but I haven't touched a deck in a looong time. I heard they're going back to Phyrexia with the new set?

The current block that is just finished is Scars of Mirrodin, Mirrodin Besieged and New Phyrexia. It's a solid set.

NPH is pretty nasty with Hex parasite, Mental Misstep, Spellskite, and a few others. Trying to find a solid deck idea for Tezz this weekend, but I'm having no luck. I don't want to run Caw-blade, Splintertwin, or Valakut. If I can't find anything, I might just fall onto Mono red. It's always a hot safety net.

I built a tezz deck but it was for casual shinnanagins.

Could go b/u control, dismembers, go for the throats, hex parasite, surgical extraction. For win conditions 5/5 indestructble dark steel relics/ axes work pretty good, and phryxian obliteraters are a nice 4 drop even if they arnt artifacts. But Its been awhile since I've been in the tournament enviroment for a long time.

I saw that this morning and just face palmed.

Unless this makes the mystics price go down, the two of them pay for that event deck.

Maybe they will restrict them. If im not mistaken caw blade is running well in every type of format, hence my orginal sofai and sosal doubling in price, but then again we haven't really seen what nph will do to all the formats.

Splinter twin combo, mono green, mono black, and a few twists on things like Cawblade are all that I've seen so far.

Im planing on building a mono black control for type 2, as for the splinter twin its just the kiki jiki combo, I don't think it will see much more play. Once mystics rotate hopefully caw blade will disappear.

Mostly when Jace, tms rotates out, the Meta will change completely. It'll shoot down like, 4-5 of the top decks for the current meta.

Yea, I follow a lot of the lore too. It's pretty good.

Last night I went 2-2 at FNM losing to valakut and Eldrazi green ramp with a Tezz control deck, it's not bad, but I need more creatures. MOAR CREATURES.

It'll be interesting to see what M12 brings to the table. I've seen "Chandra's phoenix" if that's real, it's nasty. 2/2 flying for 3, that if it's in the graveyard and you do damage with a sorcery or instant to a player, you can bring it back to the battlefield. Can you say, Red deck wins just got a new creature?

For real. We'll see more when it's getting that time, but that'd make red decks just that much more OP, since there's also "if a red planeswalker deals damage" so koth(maybe his emblem?) and it'd be a way to bring chandra back for sure.
