I see what you mean evey, that little short film holds much power.
I have found, that helping someone to smile when you yourself find it the hardest thing to do. Helps bring your smile back
also makes you to open up to the world.
Realise that there is always someone with a load that weighs yours tenfold.
Never judge a book by it's cover.
Those who hurt the most have learnt to mask their pain well.
Often carry a smile. The smile is the way to say that the soul is at home. It doesn't require that many muscles. But getting a smile when you don't expect one, might be just what that person needed at that specific moment in time.
We have guided missles, but misguided men.
We need to start caring.

Nice video, I thought he was going to see his reflection at the end too. Everybody has their own little (or big) problems, I think it is important to remember that. Thanks for sharing!

Felt compelled to share.
You are so right the video should have ended on a mirror.
Maybe the truth in that is that we wouldn't always be capable of looking in "that" mirror.

Didn't R.E.M. do a similar treatment in one of their videos ages back? Thinking

That's what it reminded me of anyway... I didn't get the whole 'get service' part either. (The link has broken now, BTW, you might want to find a new version.) Wink

Or a solution.

Imo, it is much better to be the sober one at a party: you remember every embarrassing details others have done and forgotten, you can be the one to laugh at their embarrassing mistakes, you can appreciate how things truly are so you do not wake up with surprises, your nights out are cheaper and your health will be thankful years later. I cannot see one single thing in favour of drinking, personally. But that is just my opinion. You all can get drunk... I will be the one quoting it for truth lol

I never felt I was missing anything. I do not really understand it when people tell me to "have just one" or insist... I mean, when I used to smoke I never went around telling people to just have a try. Shrug

Cool
Agreed Sey!
Each to his own..
One of my best mates, has never drunk booze, 100% cocacola at parties.. Many would insist he have a beer, try and persuade him he wasn't having fun because he was sober, he just answered that he had the most fun out of us all, and plenty of blackmail material!
o.0
Peer pressure..
Truth is that is how I started smoking..
Lucky strikes, in front of school...
DAMNED!
Quitting is so hard...
I quit totally when I had my twins.. was kind of easy as the scent of any smoke made me ill.. picture it when your mates come back from holland & you just run away.. couldn't deal with "that" smell o.0
Girls were 1 month old.. started smoking again..
Damned..
Camels..
Was a stress filled time.. not an excuse I know, yet it's my line..
I have been reducing my cigs all year then just blew it this summer going back to a pack a day.. surrounded by smokers the temptation is that much greater.
I am happy of the no smoking laws in restaurants etc yet in BARS I think it's crazy.. everyone just ends up on the street..
Proud to say I bought this pack last week & it is still half full! Razz
One coffin nail at a time..
Kiss
As for the booze..
Yes, I drink.
But not as I used too.
The search of oblitaration of all senses has no shine for me anymore; I prefer feel how I am instead of masking it all over with drink, the solution feels good at the time, yet is so temporary.. and I must say that with age hangovers become even more deadly.
My liver, has been inflicted with enough Jack Daniels dammage during my teen years, so now a lil of what I fancy as long as I am enjoying it.
Exxxxcess has no purpose.
My body is my temple and I need it for quite a few more years yet.
As a teen I never thought I would live over 27.. didn't really want to either after Fred passed.
Yet life has given me the gift of two lovely girls, I can't put my health at risk & see them at my funeral early.
How will I deal with it when my girls pick up a cig or a beer?
I honestly don't know, jut the words "pre teen" scare the frack out of me..
My lil cousin, who is 15 drinks.. to the extent she was taken to hospital this summer at a festival from alcool intoxication...
I changed her nappies...
Time flies..
I gave her a frigging sermon.. then felt like a total hypocrite.. (remembering the stuff I got up too at that age)
Shrug I suppose you have to learn the hard way...

Pamela Sweeney McNaughton Her hair was up in a pony tail, Her favorite dress tied with a bow. Today was Daddy's Day at school, And she couldn't wait to go. But her mommy tried to tell her, That she probably should stay home. Why the kids might not understand, If she went to school alone. But she was not afraid; She knew just what to say. What to tell her classmates Of why he wasn't there today. But still her mother worried, For her to face this day alone. And that was why once again, She tried to keep her daughter home. But the little girl went to school Eager to tell them all. About a dad she never sees A dad who never calls. There were daddies along the wall in back, For everyone to meet. Children squirming impatiently, Anxious in their seats One by one the teacher called A student from the class. To introduce their daddy, As seconds slowly passed. At last the teacher called her name, Every child turned to stare. Each of them was searching, A man who wasn't there. 'Where's her daddy at?' She heard a boy call out. 'She probably doesn't have one,' Another student dared to shout. And from somewhere near the back, She heard a daddy say, 'Looks like another deadbeat dad, Too busy to waste his day.' The words did not offend her, As she smiled up at her Mom. And looked back at her teacher, Who told her to go on. And with hands behind her back, Slowly she began to speak. And out from the mouth of a child, Came words incredibly unique. 'My Daddy couldn't be here, Because he lives so far away. But I know he wishes he could be, Since this is such a special day. And though you cannot meet him, I wanted you to know. All about my daddy, And how much he loves me so. He loved to tell me stories He taught me to ride my bike. He surprised me with pink roses, And taught me to fly a kite. We used to share fudge sundaes, And ice cream in a cone. And though you cannot see him. I'm not standing here alone. 'Cause my daddy's al ways with me, Even though we are apart I know because he told me, He'll forever be in my heart' With that, her little hand reached up, And lay across her chest. Feeling her own heartbeat, Beneath her favorite dress. And from somewhere here in the crowd of dads, Her mother stood in tears. Proudly watching her daughter, Who was wise beyond her years. For she stood up for the love Of a man not in her life. Doing what was best for her, Doing what was right. And when she dropped her hand back down, Staring straight into the crowd. She finished with a voice so soft, But its message clear and loud. 'I love my daddy very much, he's my shining star. And if he could, he'd be here, But heaven's just too far. You see he is a Brittish soldier And died just this past year When a roadside bomb hit his convoy And taught Britians to fear. But sometimes when I close my eyes, it's like he never went away.' And then she closed her eyes, And saw him there that day. And to her mothers amazement, She witnessed with surprise. A room full of daddies and children, All starting to close their eyes. Who knows what they saw before them, Who knows what they felt inside. Perhaps for merely a second, They saw him at her side. 'I know you're with me Daddy,' To the silence she called out. And what happened next made believers, Of those once filled with doubt. Not one in that room could explain it, For each of their eyes had been closed. But there on the desk beside her, Was a fragrant long-stemmed rose. And a child was blessed, if only for a moment, By the love of her shining star. And given the gift of believing, That heaven is never too far. Send this to the people you'll never forget and Remember to send it also to the person that sent It to you. It's a short message to let them know That you'll never forget them. If you don't send it to anyone, it means you're in a hurry and that you've forgotten your friends. Take the time...to live and love. Until eternity.

That's sad and sweet at the same time. Was that a poem? Reads like that.

It reads like a poem, friend of mine sent it to me via FB..
Today France has announced the return of 200 troups from Afghanistan...
We should never forget those who put their life on the line..
Even if it is for a war about oil.. they don't question it.
Follow orders to the death sometimes..
That is why I feel so angry at people who dare protest at military funurals.. no frigging respect..
Evil or Very Mad
I'm a pacifist.
Yes.
RESPECT the army though. At least the men.. not the military intellegence.. as D mustaine says those two words don't mix...
