Im not sure if any one here knows of the game but if you like mech games you might want to check this out
The concept of the game is your a loan AC ( armored core ) pilot and your sent on various missions. You earn money and ranks depending on how you do in the missions. The game is fast paced and gobs and gobs of customization There is almost a infinite amount of possibilities on how you can build your mech, im not on this one but in the past few you could even go into each individual part and increase and decrease each spec. Ive spent hours just tweeking my mech for the next mission. You unlock more items as you go along and progress further along the story line.
The controls may seem a little difficult at first if you haven't played any of the previous games, The game play can get pretty intense especially when going up against another AC unit, it gets very fast paced and crazy at times. A lot of the environment is destroyable and theres nothing like shooting a lazer cannon into a building and watching the building crumble to the ground.
The online mod for this looks amazing, i havent had a chance to try it yet because i wouldnt stand a chance. when you start the game you choose to create or join a fraction, when you start on the main map you can see the other Fractions territory, think like GTA san andres, You can choose to invade or defend territory , Wich then will create a 5v5 death match, but there is an element of RTS to it also because you will both be setting up misslels , cannons , gun turrtes etc etc to help your team .
Theres so much im forgetting lol its just AWESOME its a huge clan game
I've never played one of these games, though I do like mechs. (There's talk of them being included in Dust 514 later on too. ) I think seeing the custom controllers was a deterrent for me playing.
Not needed, I know. And I think this one's for Steel Battalion, another mech game, anyway.
But if you guys recommend it I'll give this game a look. I'll wait for your reviews though.

Armored Core ALWAYS gets bashed by critics. From metacritic, in chronological order: AC: Nexus-73 AC: Nine Breaker-57 AC: Last Raven- 59 AC2-78 AC3-74 AC4-65 AC4:For Answer-62 AC5-66
I've played 3, 4, and 4FA and loved them. I think the main reason they get low scores is because they're not the types of games reviewers typically like. There's a lot more setting up your mech and optimizing and customizing and playing around with then just straight up battles. They also tend to have a large learning curve which may result in critics being turned off initially. If you love Mechs and customizing, then I'm sure you'll like them. If not, then it's probably not your thing.
Still haven't played 5, but I'm sure it's mostly the same, except with faster paced combat according to what I've heard.

As a huge mechwarrior fan I don't like the ac series at all. Haven't touched one in a while though.
It's pretty fun , you do spend a lot more time customize Tue much for the current mission and the order missions do get a little repetitive but the story missions are fun and challenging, also there was a chance to do boss battles last weekend but I didn't have enough members to play them. I was looking at them on you tube and they look intense

I reckon it's mostly cause it's a straight forward gameplay like something you find in an arcade. I have found For Answer to be a "Pure Game" devoid of a Major story plot / Centralised Character. That is what critics are looking for these days.
you should be able to you have to go to your team menu and there will be a option to leave under manage team, give me a message when your going to hop on
Well, where my PS3's at in my room doesn't really get internet well (most of the time not at all) so I usually just hop on for an hour or two and play offline.
But will do next time I'm on and have internet.

Nah, this is my first one. Seems like they do a shitty job explaining what to do, even though I like the game.

Make robot. Smash robot into other robot. Shoot stuff. Blow stuff up. Wonder if you did it right. \_(o.o)_/
That was me of For Answer.

They do a TERRIBLE job of explaining things. Half way through the game I was still learning basic things.

Yeah, I wanted to join a story mission and but I didn't know how the Emblem looked on the world map, so I joined somekind of Skirmish Multiplayer Objective...
