Now I find your view interesting, nobody.
I get that after you cease to exsist it is no longer a concern to yourself.
My concern goes out to the ones I leave behind. My little girl losing her only parent. Have the things I taught her going to be enough to mold her in the person she can face in the mirror.
My father passed away in 2006. Ironicly he was a hard core Christian. He left out thinking all can be forgiven. That he would see most of his loved one again. So he died as he had lived.
Realisticly he left behind a daughter who he will never see again. Who carries guilt of holding on to a failed father and daughter relationship that could have been beautiful.
I'm trying to create a legacy that I can live with now. To know that the ones I leave behind can alwaya think on me with fond memories and a smile.
That's worth every minute of this life. No regrets.

well I dont really have anyone I care for...or anything I care for really.

Thats obviously the defining factor.

but 1 question. what relevance does afterlife have on that?

all that stuff you just mentioned is about things your doing in the present. to prepare for when you leave. it wouldnt matter what post life beliefs you have, youd still likely be doing the same thing.

You don't have anyone you care for? No one at all?
And I guess my point in my previous posts is with all that in mind it prevents my fear of death from consuming the f*** out of me.

And I don't think my space bar is busted. scratch
Don't really know why it appears like that on your end.

not in the capacity you are talking about. funny thing is I dont even care that I dont care. (but thats a bit off topic)

I guess its just after periods. like every single time you out a period there is no space after. just found it a bit odd.

Yeah... Never really occured to me that I do that. Shrug

So you don't care that you don't care? There is absolutely nothing that you are or no person you are passionate about? Thinking

Was thinking about death some more. and a thought occurred to me. perhaps what people are really afraid of is the separation from society more then anything. most of my experience is dealing with people that are tied to a big society. (typical americans mostly, but the same likely holds true to most "developed" societies. pretty much anything that most of us would consider to be civilized people) they are tied so strongly to society it controls almost every aspect of their life. and death separates them from that. on the other hand you have people ranging from native Americans to religious suicide bombers (who believe that dying for a cause will get them into the equivalent of heaven) they are not so strongly tied to society and much closer to the natural world/universe or what ever you want to call it. and they embrace death, have much less fear of it, then those strongly tied to society.
