I wanted to wish everybody in the Nation a Happy Christmas, but as I keep away from computers et al on Christmas Day, this is the first opportunity I got. I'm posting in this thread, as it was mine from last year. Good times, back in the day.

May the Lord of Light, Love, Hope and Peace watch over all of you and your loved ones this Christmas season, and may He protect you in the year ahead. May He keep you safe and healthy throughout the New Year.

God bless you all.

Thank you K!! I hope you had a great Christmas time.

I wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year!! What are you going to do today? Any traditions you always do?

These are the Spanish traditions for today:
1. Couples wear red underwear. You should buy each other's underwear.
2. You have to eat 12 white grapes (better seedless and peeled) as the bells chime at midnight. One for each month of the year, to give you good luck. (absolutely mandatory)
3. You have to do that at home, with the family, so you are not allowed to go out and party before midnight. The wrath of the family will be upon you if you do. Lol
4. Eat sweets made with almond.
5. Go out and party until 6 am or so.
6. Mandatory if you've been out, you have to go with all your mates/family/people you went out with and have a dark thick hot chocolate with fried dough to dunk in it just before heading home/bed.

I won't be doing all, probably just the grapes one. I have done it every single year. What about you?

At some point during today or tomorrow I'll move the calendar to January. Only tradition I have.
