Nicely done, Charlie. We ran into some earlier, and he wanted to trashtalk me using not "real" weapons. So, I just killed him a few times with the pistol, and asked him what happened. He got real quiet. People just want to overreact, and sometimes they use it, just because they know it'll either force a reaction, or shake a player who's not used to it. It's juvenile, and stupid, but it'll be a factor as long as we have mics.

I'm really diggin' the Chimera, a bit more, now that I look at it again, but I think I'm rolling the Coles. They just look really nice. I didn't care much for Hale, he looked really plain, to me. I guess I don't have any kind of franchise attachment, though, because I totally missed out on those games, plus, I have no frame of reference for how badass he is.


Overall though, the skins all definitely look nice. Looking forward to rockin' some faces in some new duds. I love the Skeletons, but like Raist said, they've served me well, and they'll probably come out of retirement every once in a while. There's nothing quite like the random "Oh my god, that dude is a skeleton" moments.

Had some alright games with Raist tonight . It seems like everyone I know is having a harder time to kill stuff I know that I haven't gotten a Fury in a while. Oh well, my K/D is above 2.0 now which is kind of exciting

Man, I remember I was so happy after I started to go positive, and saw my KD creep over the 1 marker. My learning period was pretty rough, for a long time. First real shooting game experience, but I'm getting better. It's about 1.5x right now, and creeping up slowly. It's pretty rare that I go negative anymore, so it's creeping up slowly, every night.

Had a few good games tonight, messed around with my boosters a bit. Went back to DtI for a game, and it felt dirty, but it was so nice having my AK shots hit more consistently. On the search for a new slot-1 for a while, before I have to switch everything up for Invalid. Since I'm using the FAL less, and have become much more accepting of the AK again, the need to have From the Hip is significantly less. It's much more a crutch when you're AK/M4-Centric, and much less an absolute necessity, like it became when the FAL was my only long-gun.

I might go back to a heavy FAL-period as well. My accuracy has been slipping slightly, and it might be from using the M4 and the AK so much lately, even at longer distances. You have to be a bit more wide with your aim, to compensate for the spread, even when you're bursting, so I find that issue carrying over much more consistently, to firefights in general.


Was nice to play with you, Cobalt. I think all in all, we did pretty well. We've all felt like we're in a bit of a rut lately, so it's nice to have more buddies to just make the experience more enjoyable, and we got some pretty good games in. The Sanctuary loss was a heartbreaker, but it was a close game, so I can't be too upset.

In your profile, guys, go into 'Preferences', scroll down and make sure 'Always show my signature' is checked.

It won't show up in any existing posts but when you make a new one it should be there... Any problems PM an Admin and they can sort it for you.

Likewise, End. Vash and Raistlin too. I'm a little surprised that I went positive for the most part. Not by much, but mostly. No kicks tonight either, so that's a definite improvement. I'll try to pop on more often there.
One thing I didn't like though is that it seems like damage is arbitrarily decided. It might take two shots to the torso drop someone with an AK, or it might take two clips. Is this really solely because of lag? Seems like something's off...
It was fun to see all the different skins though. Popped a couple Chimera heads, beat the living snot outta Zeke like I wanted to a couple times. Good times, gooood times.

The damage is something that seems to have been tweaked just within the last couple of days with updates. I don't know if its just me at the moment but it seems harder to get kills for some reason.......Its one of my main causes of frustration at the moment.....rawr.

From last night's games, I apparently just need to rock the GAU more. Raistlin, if you still have that game in your local files, save it for me.

Me? Yeah, I'm relatively new. I've been on here for a few weeks, I've just yet to post with any frequency. I mostly play Uncharted 2, but I also have Borderlands, Rock Band 2, and now MAG to mess with.

I will probably keep MAG at arm's length for awhile, though, until my Uncharted 2 fix is complete.

I only played through the campaigns of Resistance, sadly. I played Killzone 2 with a passion for a long time, though; I was in the top few hundred people before I stopped.

Today I've ran relatively well, but the past couple of days in particular most of us have just kind of faltered. I think part of it could be all of the server work/the DLC affecting lag somewhat, but I think we're all just in a rut. It's time to branch out and try new things, or to go back to what we're familiar with. Change things up a bit, regardless.

It's really depressing that I'm the only one who'll get that reference. Sanford is a god among men, I swear.


It could be a billion different things, and we've discussed this before. It could be a server-ish adjustment, which would possibly be the feeling like it takes a ton more to kill people, or it could just be any number of other factors. We've discussed what I felt the issues I was having were, so I'm curious to see how trying to revert to my much more FAL-centric style is going to go. My aim will certainly have to get better, but I did get that Tripled earlier, so it's not like I'm shooting at nothing.


I think I was trying to focus a little too heavily on larger numbers, and trying to push a more aggressive style, overall. I found myself approaching confrontations, and situations, that I never would've touched, prior. I ignored bad angles, or other routes, and was just playing sloppy, compared to how I used to handle myself. Just need to take a step back, go back to a slightly more intelligent and less directly confrontational style, on my part, but keep some of the lessons I learned, from exploring your style more.

My gau use has rubbed off mwa ha! But seriously, if you catch the right spawn points and you don't play against smart people who think about going above or flanking, ohhhh man....B.E.A.S.T. Have you tried the booster that allows you to walk fast with it? Its crazy! I tried that when Aqua and I were the only ones in a party. Heheh.

The last couple days my accuracy has just been piss poor. I can't blame everything on unknown factors. Yes there are times where I think I should of had a kill 100% but there are times as well where my crosshairs are all over the place. Part of it is mental for me, but I do feel that something has been tweaked when the livesyncs were done.

The last time this happened was during the fat drake and lazarovich weekend and the same feeling happened. Took too many shots to kill, died too much etc. This time I hope its also as temporary. I'll be on later for sure. Actually I'll be doing a new video for my YT channel displaying the new skins. I might ask some people to help out depending on who is on.

I'm definitely very happy with the new skins. I adore both of the Cole skins, they're just really well done, as I've said before. I like that they're somewhat unique, and them being silent is absolutely great. Sev is a great skin as well, from the players we've duked it out with, and from catching Vash rockin' it.


And, his GAU game was absurd. I was running around the other half of the map, on my favorite roof on Village, trying to keep him covered, and aware. Totally rocking Hell Blazer and Come Get Some, when I get it. Best booster set-up ever.


Raist, I totally agree. I didnt' mean to imply it was all on some great unknown, either. I think part of my less than stellar runs have been because I've been trying too hard, honestly. I sold myself too heavily into trying to push a more aggro playstyle, including when it wasn't appropriate. My accuracy has been kinda sketchy lately, too. I blame using the AK more and more, lately, and just being a little lazier on keeping it tight. That's totally my fault, all I can do now is try to reign it in a bit, and keep up on myself, to not making such silly mistakes in judgment, and such.

GGs tonight, I suppose. I feel bad that we dominated that badly, but... um, I feel horrible (but happy at the same time.) because... remember the Dirty Rampant that we were talking about? Well, I didn't quite get it, but...

I sent Raist, Vash and End the video, and I'm going to post it up on Youtube. It was... well, not my most honorable match.

Ahh. The almost dirty-rampant. Those games were rediculous. Props to the blue for stickin' it out though. He took it like a champ.


Got some good games in, ending on a heartbreaker though. Our green dropped early, and I think Knux's connection dropped him, but Tobi and I managed to keep it tied up, until the very end. 2-on-5 is pretty tough, and I hate to end on a loss for the night, but I can still be okay with how that game turned out.


Everyone looked to be in pretty good shape tonight, Raist, you had a few games you didn't seem too chill with, but overall, I think we did pretty well, when we got to play an actual match. Feel like I might be breaking out of my slump a bit, going back to my older and slightly more conservative style seemed to work out pretty well, got some 17-2 action, and a couple 14-1's. Definitely nicer than dying upwards of 8 or more times a match.


Was nice to play with Kratos, as well, hadn't been able to catch him in a game yet, so it's nice to get some time, there.

LIAR. I could tell from the laughter that you were all really upset.

Good to get a few games in with you too, End. I was a bit rusty, since I haven't played in a while. That being said, I was no hot shot when I was playing it. I enjoyed it though. All I know is that in The Plaza, every few seconds it alternated between three kills for Charlie, and three kills for End. Poor old kratos was going around like a fool looking for a single kill. Ended that game scoreless and clueless.

I actually played the majority of the night pretty solid. Was pretty much above 2.0 for the most of the night. Had a few monster matches with 17 - 1s, 14 - 3's and so on. Lots of BBQs and I had a 5 pull down match in the village. Love it!!

Hey, now. I think I got one kill on those poor idle guys, because I was fighting Rendrags for them, with M4s. I'm the one who managed to throw them out of sync, though.

Yeah, Raist. I stayed pretty well over 2.0 as well, most of the night, and it was a nice change of pace, from going even, or eeking out a +1 or +2. Had my share of high-scoring games, and had a few bleh games, but that's how it goes. Definitely enjoying going back to the more conservative style, and playing a little more intelligently, than I had been, for those few rough-patch days. No need to rush into a bad situation, especially in this game, where it's so easy to find a better angle, or route of attack.

I was talking to Vash about it, and I think that's where a large part of my issues came from. By exploring the more outwardly confrontational style, I learned to be a lot more comfortable with my AK skills, both close-range, and even a bit more long-range, if I don't have a FAL handy. I also learned how to scrap a bit more, and scramble around multiple people, which can absolutely be handy, when playing a hang-back FAL style. It also helped me find a middle ground in maps where I'd previously absolutely floundered, like Sanctuary, which you can absolutely attest to.
