Well, I'm really enjoying it. About 10 hours in, finally at New Vegas and things are starting to get crazy, but I came across a glitch that made me very It involves the companion Boone.
Spoiler:
Boone was my savior, I could kill anything in the Wasteland with his help, it was awesome. Then when I came across New Vegas, I entered a Casino that he wasn't allowed in. So he stayed outside, but when I came back out, for some reason, I had his Sniper Rifle in my inventory, the very weapon that made him awesome. I couldn't give it back to him, no matter what I tried, and if I dropped it, I couldn't pick it up. I couldn't shoot it either. No pretty much, Boone became useless and I sent him back to his town

I haven't gone near this with a 10-foot pole. I had the feeling it was going to be buggy before it even came out, and lo and behold it's buggy. I can't say I'm surprised at all.

Buggy: Yes But it's worth looking past the bugs because I'm enjoying it more than Fallout 3 at the moment, and in all honesty, I can't wait to try out Hardcore mode. It's going to be the ultimate survival game

Nuh uh. I'm not going a fourth game that's as buggy as *bleep*. I've had enough of that thanks very much.

Buggy? Yes, very much so.
Its still fun as hell, and the vast majority of the bugs are irrelevant to gameplay. If you don't want to play New Vegas, you can get another, play that, and post about that game.

I'm avoiding hardcore mode for the time being. I need to get my character figured out first, and then the second time around Ill go hardcore.

Fallout is always buggy. That is one of the charms of the game.
I've run into a few of them so far. The first time that I met the robot that saved me, he was upside down and knocked out. So, I turned around to walk away and BAM he's suddenly alive and right in front of me.
Another time, I want to go into this store that sells energy weapons. The only way I can get in the store is if I relinquish my weapons. So, I agree. I happen to be with Boone who is carrying a giant sniper rifle. They don't take Boone's sniper rifle so the second I walk into the store they all open fire because he's armed. I have no weaps so I'm just running for my life while they blast away at me. I lasted for about 30 seconds before going down.

Oh, you'll find them. I killed a Powder Ganger in the Bison Casino, and he fell through the floor into oblivion, where I resurected him with the Staff of the Worm King so that I could kill him again and take his stuff. Unfortunately, varmint rifles don't work very well against Daedra.
Two things: 1. Where the hell can I get a better shotgun than the single shotgun? I need something better than that, it just doesn't live up to what I need in a fight. 2. What are the best ways to keep EDE alive? I lost half an hours worth of progress today because I didn't want the little floating pack mule to die, and would like to avoid having to do that again in the future.

The caravan shotty is available around Primm and in the NCRCF areas. It allows for two quick shots but the reload time is bad. I tried taking on a giant radscorp with it and, well, it didn't help any.

So its really not any better than the single shotgun?

I've been using the love and hate spiked knuckles. Nothing better than sucker punching somebody as they run past you.

This game is full of win. Really buggy. If that bothers you, get bug spray. But still get it.
Mind the hide tags, folks. Especially for the first week. No one's out of line, but don't mission discuss, or weapon discuss (particularly locations and such) without hide tags. At least give me a chance to finish f'ing going thru that g-damn dark as f casino first.

I had my first run in with Caeser's Legion tonight in that town...the name of which escapes me.
Spoiler:
And went through that one booby trapped house, scared as shit to turn around, for fear that something else was going to attack, blow up, or shoot me. omfg!
Awesome guns tho. I usually go 'stealth intel melee' in my build-outs (go figure), so I'm not even sure which direction to point most of these guns in. But it's a blast.

Yeah, I'm at my first run in with the legion as well. I'm plotting the best way to crucify them, so to speak. I don't care for them much.

Just got to the NCP outpost or whatever, looking to find some military backup for Primm. So much fun, and I still have like 90+ hours left!!! MW2 eat your heart out.

ITS fracking CRACK!
Dunno how many hours in. Level 15. So many cool guns and mods. Science, Med, Lock Picking, Energy Weapons, and Guns in the 40-55 range, every thing else meh.
Don't use buck shot against Giant Scorpians or Anything that has an exo-skeleton or hard armour. Caravan Shot Gun is good, but you need something that gets through the armour to cause damage. Remember your ammo type and your enemy.
Oh and love the Aim down the sight feature they added.

Not that I'm on level with you yet Liam, but I think you can make magnum shotty rounds. I haven't thought to actually do it yet (I just like making ammo, not acutally using it correctly) but when it gets around to occuring to me, I'm likely to be like
*counts on fingers*
THIS many times more dangerous! *holds up three not contiguous fingers, and the thumb on my left hand*
So, you can shoot the ravens you see all over the place, I've noticed. Any relevance?

20 Gauge Slugs would be the ones. First time around on the ammo bench I ended up breaking down all my ammo cause I hadn't a clue what I was doing. Then went and picked a fight not knowing that my guns had no bullets. Interesting. I'm putting it down to my character getting to many knocks on the head including the first bullet he takes.

Not sure on that yet. Maybe a hidden trophy?
The factions thing is cool, but you will lose out on some quests. Next play through I'm gonna be an evil genius rather than a "Jack of all trades master of non" type.
