| Ah. Well, to make your life easier, when you get back to Primm, make sure to go into the building next to the Casino across the street. It'll have a dead courier slumped over in front of it. Inside you'll find a robot on the counter. Check it out to see that you can repair it. If you Repair skill is high enough, then you can do it outright. If your Science skill is high enough, then you can fix it with a lower Repair skill. If neither is high enough, then you can just scrounge for parts. No matter how you do it, your new companion ED-E will be a huge help, from extra storage to extra firepower. |

| No problem. Oh, but if you're playing in Hardcore mode, then watch out because companions can die permanently. Otherwise they just fall down for a minute until combat is over. |

| Finally finished the Dead Money DLC. Bit of a mixed bag tbh, environments, story and style were good but would've liked a few more weapons and less annoying enemies. Lootwas awesome tho and got all trophies . I heard that you can get all the gold bars out of the vault (making you rich for the rest of the game basically) but tried a few ways that apparently work and had no luck so just took as much stuff as I could, still will be very wealthy anyway so happy . 43 hours in now with two DLC's finished and 3 story arc's to try plus many side quests and locations undiscovered. So far, compared to Fallout 3, I personally find New Vegas's game world to be not as intriguing to explore and the game having a more predictable story, but more weapons and a LOT more content with a great variety of side quests IMO. I think the DLC's may just edge Fallout 3's but only done 2, F3 had Point Lookout which was great, but Mothership Zeta that wasn't very good. I don't really like the focus on factions in New Vegas also, can be more of an annoyance than a fun gameplay element. |

| The best part about NV over fo3 is how the world reacts to what you do to a much greater degree then fo3 |

You pretty much have to find a Stealthboy either in one of Domino's stashes, or a certain set of desks somewhere I can't recall in town. Snag everything, and activate the last conversation. Make your way out and activate the Stealthboy to sneak without alerting Elijah when he comes in. You have a very narrow window to get back though the door he enters by before he reactivates the shield on it. It's close, but you'll get to the exit in time. Playing again myself. Trying to keep it minimal until I can get to the branch point, so that maybe I can possibly actually finish the thing this time. |

| Mine now keeps freezing. Managed to bag a desert ranger and steal all his stuff. Why does he need that big trench coat in the desert? |

| So far so good for me. I've had a couple short instances of slowdown, but other than that it's been alright. Most of the way through House's questline. Hope it holds up.
I will note that the only companion I have is ED-E, and he's waiting in the Lucky 38. I'll probably keep them to a minimum. Sucks to miss their endings, but I've done all but Arcade's sidequests before already. Gotta keep that save file under 10K. |

| Can't remember if I did Arcades before myself... Done a few more things, seems to be holding okay, then I went and got FF13-2 for like 10euro so I started to play that. It's already pissing me off so I might just go back to Fallout. |

| Started Old World Blues tonight and only just gotten outside the starting lab, I thought that the conversation with the computer screens was too long but at least there looks to be an entertaining story to this, area looks like a lot of fun to explore too. Looking forward to playing more later !! |

| It's called the Ultimate Edition for this one, if that helps. Managed to finish Mr. House's storyline. Trying to do the legion one next to get it out of the way. Had one freeze and a little lag here and there, but okay other than that. We'll see how it goes. Saved the NCR for the last on this go 'round. Slowdown seems worst on the west side of outer Vegas where a bunch of their stuff happens. Independent is where I'll make my Hardcore run. Seems to be the shortest. |

| Killing anything becomes difficult when you're moving at 5 frames per minute. Finished the Legion side tonight. Turns out that the Lucky Shades are in the legion safehouse (adds +1 to Luck, same as Fallout 3). So, now I have to find out if there are enough missions I can do for them to get Liked status without angering the NCR before I go do their path so I can get them. Can't wear them with the Rebreather, sadly, but the +1 to Luck is easily worth the 4 less DR, and I can always switch at need. Will begin work on the NCR tomorrow. Hoping the game can handle the additional load of having to do the Brotherhood and Kahn quests. It hasn't before, so we'll see. |

| My file is at 7.5 mb now and I can see myself finishing off OWB and Lonesome Road before the lag sets in, maybe even some more base game side quests and mojave exploring could be in order. Then might shelve this and start digging into my backlog a bit more, will do the other endings at another time, also got Demon's Souls to go back too later as well.
I definitely have enjoyed this game but not sure if it's better than Fallout 3 overall, that game's gameworld was a lot better and more fun to explore IMO. |

| DP: Turns out there's an exploit you can use to gain infinite Legion Fame (and exp) in Cottonwood Cove. As long as you're on good enough terms to speak to them and have an Explosives skill of 50 (or 30 with some skill mags), go talk to the guy hanging out outside the tent there. Ask him about the NCR, then back up and say you can show him how to disarm mines. This skill check never goes away, so you can do it as much as you want. I just did and it took about 5 minutes to get to Liked status. Then I went into a building, and it froze on the way out. |

| Doesn't Matter; Have Shades. I think not having done any of the companion quests other than ED-E is really helping to keep the file size down. |
