Set a goal. Thats how I started improving when I first got into online gaming. My K/D in Resistance was something like .75 or something when I first started reading tips on how to get better. So I set myself to reach 1.0. I hit that and slowly kept getting better. I did the same with my accuracy in Resistance 2. I started at 30% accuracy every game. Once I reached that regularly, I upped it to 40% and then 50%. So, keep setting realistic goals to aim for and you'll find yourself making slow but steady progress |

| I just want to reach 1.0. Thats my goal, and I'll achieve it when I can drop the negatives. |

I doubt it will ever happen but I really would like to get a full sixthnation party going again . I think I can get to this 1.0 KD , had some bad games today but good outweighed the bad so the dream is alive ! .

| The dream is always going to be alive, it just takes some work, and some time to achieve whatever goals you set out to accomplish.
I'll use myself as an example. Way back when, before I met the ESRaistlin and Aquaknux, I was playing with Vash and Shayanj. I didn't have a single positive game, that I can remember, until I was about level 35 or so. That's when I first picked up a FAL, after seeing Faboles in action, and around that time, I started working towards developing and later progressing my camp-heavy cornershooting style. My KD was somewhere around .4, when I started to improve, and see my numbers climb up. When I retired my first account, my KD was 1.6x, so I'd managed to still edge it up quite a bit, while fighting the damage the learning curve of the game did. Ames has a 2.3x KD, and Endlo- was just under 3, at 2.9x, for K/Ds, so I'd consider that fairly successful. Not the best in the game, but surely not the worse.
I went through something similar with MAG, as well, as I started off incredibly poorly, having a well under 1.0 KD, when I first started, and then I watched it climb to 1.0, then 2.0, and then started to use my weekly K/Ds to gauge myself. It all came from actively trying to improve myself, taking the time to learn how to better myself, and understand the game, from a theory standpoint, and use the resources and the people around me, that were more successful. It's a slow process, but it's certainly achievable.
It took me a long time, though, and I played Uncharted 2 nightly, for about a year, almost exclusively. I took a small break for MAG, before quitting Uncharted 2 for MAG the second time, and I've racked up multiple weeks of playtime, across multiple accounts. It's all cumulative though, and you guys will continue to see yourselves improve. Save a cinema that you play tomorrow, and then compare it to one that you'll play in a week from now, 2 weeks from now, a month from now. You'll see so much improvement, when you directly compare it to how you did previously. You may not feel like you're improving, but when you can sit there, and watch how your decision-making changes, and your reactions improve, and you start to use your instincts and experience, the difference will be like night and day.
The trick of it is, though, and almost all of us can vouch for this, is to not let yourself get too caught up in numbers, for a while. All it's going to do is set your focus on something that's relatively arbitrary, and you'll only cause yourself unnecessary stress, and we've all been through burn-out phases, because of similar attitudes. Just try to enjoy the game for what it is, and who you're with, for a while, and let the improvement come naturally.

Those were VERY common a few months ago, Mitch, Endlo would get a bunch of guys together and they would just play for hours on end, maybe it'll be the same for U3 but idk, just hope I'll be a part of it in U3 lol |

| Wish I could get on Mitch but since I procrastinated for so long I have to do an essay for school that is do tomorrow, sorry
Oh and also guys, about all of the problems with the Hammer and Launch Man that some of us have, I think there is still a way to use the Hammer and Launch Man without spamming it, just use Raist's/Vash's/Endlo's thoughts about firing it once and then using your FS to get a Put 'Em Down metal, of course fighting the temptation to spam it is another thing, but hopefully you get my point, use the method mentioned above 12 times instead of 6 times, its work for me sometimes, when I can resist the temptation to spam the Hammer that is |

| Actually I find it great how once your K/D starts going up in U2 it starts going up in others like resistance, MAG or even Halo. Just those few pointers that are constant throughout every shootem up game really help overall.
I'm off to the coast for a week guys. Happy gaming I'll see you on the other side. |

| Mitch, there is always on thing I always do when I'm doing bad at this game. I stop and go play another game or single player. It's not all about the MP and what not, if you're not having fun, then take a break and go play the SP or something else to take the load off. |

| I agree with Static-Star, Mitch, go play the game the entire way through on Very Easy mode, it'll get you back into the swing of things and shouldn't kill you ever, except maybe on Draza or Lazarevic but other than that it should be easy and should be very fun |

That's internet. My performance in COD is almost directly related to lag and I can only imagine how U2 is now. If I where to graph the number of people using the internet over 24 hours it'd shoot up at around 10 am on weekends and drop steadily until 6 pm again, at which point it'd shoot up again. Same goes pretty much for weekdays as well, though relatively lower numbers the entire time. My point is that don't feel bad, or worse, judge yourself based on how you do at a game. To quote an ND forum poster, this game is a very poor gauge of skill skill anyways because of DTI and SA (which are - despite arguments - easily available to everyone). @wolfcub The things I've learned from U2 and Raist are easily transplanted in other games. It's pretty cool, and freaky. |

| Sorry guys but after seeing all of these comments about DtI being op and stuff like that I would just like to know if anyone remembers that ND actually nerfed it back in 1.04/1.05 |

| 15-5 on the Fort ! . Main weapon was the FAL too , strange how the ups and downs with this game work . Had another game on the Fort and in the match I picked up a FAL and came up in a 1 vs 1 . My aim was off and I was put down to within a bullet of death and at that moment I had to reload , somehow I prevented my opponent from getting that final bullet in for the entire reload through strafing and I finished him off without death . That was the closest escape I've ever had in this game ever . I ended up going 12-7 which isn't so bad since my last match was 7-12 . |

| You gotta feel for the guy , he deserved the kill as my aim was off , but I'll take it . I did out strafe him and there are often to many " how did that guy not die " moments in my matches sometimes . |

| Endloooooooooooooooooooooooo!!! Well, played some games Friday on my handgun only account waiting for Reo and had real fun with it... When you know that you are only able to use the handgun it forces you into a more tactical mindset, you tend to stay near the weapon spawn for ammo because you can't grab an opponent's rifle after a kill, you keep closer to cover and jump/roll a lot more when in open areas. When someone starts shooting I find myself criticising my own aim if I'm coming out of a roll and miss the first few shots... It definitely sharpens your game awareness and I recommend it for those times when it all starts to bring on the rage as this game often does. |

| The FS is all-around a great training tool. It teaches the importance of not just holding down the fire button as a substitute for accuracy. Instead, one learns to hone his aiming skill. |

| I actually prefer the FS over the AK, I feel as if I have more control when aiming using the FS rather than the spray can that is AK.
Sure, I could use DTI but I find it quite boring and as I really can't stand others using DTI, it would be quite hypocritical of me to use it myself, hehe. |
