I'm new to the forum after watching all of ESRaistlin's video's on his youtube channel.

Just got UC2 and a PS3 over Christmas and I fricken love the game! Been on multiplayer for a bit now....and I suck - we're talking 0.41 K/D suck! hahaha

Glad to see the UC2 community is alive and well and even though I'm new to the series I'm already psyched about UC3!

It was sanctuary and I got murdalized....went 8 and 14. Ouch!

Also, Raistlin always mentions how much hearing helps in matches and I don't have surround sound. Aren't there some type of surround sound headphones out there I can get?

Yes there are surround sound headsets. The most popular of them are Astro A40's or Turtlebeaches. Though I'd advise on holding off on buying them because they can cost upwards of 200 dollars. They're usually only used by serious gamers or pros.

Great Games Raist and Wolf Cub , it's been a while . I had some great games myself like 12-3 . It felt so good to know I was helping the team instead of dying all the time like I used to . I even topped the team KD wise on some matches so yeah , it felt good .

Ha like i said, the beach made me rust.

Dayumm. I wish that I was a little more consistent with my games. It goes something like this...

I usually have a match that I go probably 15-8 in. Meh, not too good, not too bad.

Then I pull off a nice 9-16. I don't know why I have those results, because I know that I can do better than this.

Then I go 17-2. That spells I-N-C-O-N-S-I-S-T-E-N-T.

All of those are true results, and it makes me so frustrated. The lag is as bad as it's ever been, and the only really exhillarating moment was when we were playing those trashtalkers a few days ago, but still lost. I miss when Uncharted was fun like that. Now you just usually go into a lobby and know that you are going to be crushed into bits, and I don't have the confidence that I used to going into those lobbies, knowing that I have a fighting chance. We lost some of the best people who played Uncharted, and that hurt everyone's win ratio.

Uncharted 2 is just not the way that it used to be.

I agree to some extent there, my good Charlitos (with creepy Forest Gump soundboard), but I've noticed that I lost my hunger far too often.
I am by nature very competitive, which shows by my bad temper and constantly finding excuses for when I get killed.

But when I actually focus, it reminds me of when I first started playing with Vash, Endloslung and Raist. I wanted to impress them so much and I was dying to improve my game.
In return, I got better and better by the day and that gave me motivation to go on.
Then, suddenly something happened. The spark was nowehere to be found, the thrill was missing.
Uncharted 2 was just another game.

Now, I do get my moments when I go beast (rampant against high level team, owning Chinese crew)

We can all tell how much skill we possess, but in terms of getting it out during gaming, it's...meh.
One reason may be that the game treats you unfairly, to that extent that one may feel that you are fighting something you simply can't defeat.

I will be the one to confess - I've got to comfortable with blaming everything on lag or a glitch or anything else, just to convince myself that I can't be worse than anyone else.
I miss those days where I would secretly compete with some of you in terms of getting good scores or fancy kills.

I miss partying up with you guys and not caring about the other team, just our own.
I miss the part where I gamed it up just for shits and giggles.

I've actually thought about it today, and realized that by nagging I ruin the gaming experience for myself, and all of you.
And for that, I do apologize

It would be great if the rest of us who are still playing could party up more often and just enjoy the moments, despite if we get slaughtered or slaughter some noobs ourself.
It's like Unicorn said some time ago; it's not the games themselves that we remember, but more so the random things we said/did during them.

I have to thank Mitchell for this, since by playing customs with him I realized that winning/losing plays such a small part of the whole gaming experience.

Now I really want to get back into this with the same attitude as when I first picked it up.

Reading over these posts it's like last September all over again. Masses of you guys quitting U2. I think I can safely say we're all ready for U3, even if you may say that U2 still has a hook in you. You can't deny the BS.

You are right about that, but you can try and focus on things that makes them less noticeable.
This game is STILL a very fun game, despite it losing a bit of its shine.

Anyway, I just wanted to say that I actually thought you guys were joking about that whole thing on how the 92FS only needs 4 bullets to drop someone.

Then, in a game last nigh I tried it out, and it effin worked

I guess I haven't noticed it since I just fire away until that "chi-ching!" tells me to stop that nonsense that I'm doing.

I try to play my best in parties . Somehow Raist turned up in the lobby last night , I thought he was never touching the game again but he did , wolf cub joined and it was a fun night , I stole wolfs kills , raist stole my pulldown , I was pumping behind wolf cub while he was camping in the fort . This game still has it's great moments if you play in a party . Sure the problems are still there but deep down inside us we know that we keep coming back , that this game has been our attention for many days of gaming , that the fun factor is still there if we forget the faults for just a second and have fun . That's what some games about , sure it's great to win but having fun is the most important aspect of all . Back when I sucked hard I kept coming back nethertheless , why ? , because I was determined to improve and outplay myself , to show the other players that I wasn't just a " team filler " , that I could help the team out . Sometimes we hate the game , but we keep playing because we know that the fun is still there but requires our perseverance to truly unlock it .

Hope that post means something , right now I have a game to play .

I played a No Power Weapons game today and went 22-1, I was being a bit of a bully because I'm level 62 and the other team was a 54, 51, 40 something, a 11, and a 16, guess its OK that I was using Glass Jaw/Come Get Some but if these guys were 57+ I would have died at least 5 times

Mitch and Reo, I really like your guys' outlook on things. Makes me want to go online, and chuck laugh it up with the peeps. But Uncharted 2 has still lost its magic, and just isn't the blast that it used to be. It still can be, but the magic is not here anymore. Only in parties is when I enjoy playing the game, and is the only reason I haven't snapped my disc in half

Charlitos, remember when we first met? I was talking about how many problems U2 Online had, you thought I was alone, well looks like we have swapped places, I'm not that annoyed with U2 atm and you are, just trying to find some comedy in your situation

@Reo, dude I have some of the same problems that you do except its with sports, I can take them too seriously and I HATE myself when I do, but its all good man, you should just try and enjoy (if that is even possible) just hope you find some other game that you can enjoy man, take a break from U2 and then come back after like a week or so

Just went 26-5 with a fury on the sanctuary against a full party of high levels . That was my first fury on the sanctuary after 2 missed attempts ( died on 9 ) . I also went 13-2 the next game and 20-7 . This is getting good now ! . I cant believe how much better ive gotten . I still really want that rage though .

Mitch I've only gotten two rages/rampants in my entire time on U2, one was in a plunder months ago and the other was today against a bunch of people weren't that good at the game, it actually annoys me that you are at a higher K/D than I am and it has been stuck at 1.02 for months! lol
