0:10: I guess you missed that guy standing at the entrance of the actual museum?
Either way you started off okay by hanging out near the RPG, waiting for someone to walk into your trap. However, you reacted a bit late and you should NEVER go for a tricky after they've already got a power weapon such as the RPG/Hammer/Sniper.
Skilled people will make you pay if you don't get that kill asap.
0:43: I can't really blame you here, but this shows the importance of scanning the entire screen while still being able to fire at a target. It's understandable to get eager for that easy kill on the dude shooting at your teammate, but take one nanosecond and see if anyone else is there too. It all comes down to selecting the most immediate danger and neutralize that one first. This goes for every situation; obviously you want to take out the guy who has his sights on you rather than his camping pal who has yet to discover your presence. Learn to separate your targets and go for the one that causes the most problem.
1:13: Just before, you saw a guy jumping across the rooftops and you had could've climbed up straight ahead of you and surprised him. Instead, you hesitated and got rocked with the RPG again by his teammate. Don't stop and think out in the open, it'll leave you as an easy target. If you must rethink your strategy, do so in a more safer area with only one entrance which you have more control over. This will most likely come naturally as you learn the maps.
1:52: Once again, the importance of NOT becoming a plant in the open, haha. You went for an okay option and tried to nade him from a far, but I could tell you weren't quite confident throwing that one. Instead, you rushed it, exposed yourself, stopped for a few seconds and got to taste a little of your own medicine. This is where banking nades comes into play, so keep working on them.
2:16: Not really much to say about this one, you will get better at reaction times and 1vs1's over the time. If you don't feel too confident going into them, throw a quick nade at his feet as distraction, then fire at him immediately after.
2:26: Once again, get more confident. That was YOUR kill and you should've gotten it. You hesitated and began shooting when the crosshair was above him, allowing him to escape.
You chose to chase him, fair enough. But remember that it's easier to be chased than to actually chase; he knows you are coming and can hide in order to set you up for a surprise.
If you do follow someone, do not take the most expected route.
Now, you got upstairs and spotted him on the other side, killing your teammate.
Why did you go into cover?
Go for the kill instead, only go into cover when you want to scan an area of which you are unsure of what to expect, or when you are up against bad odds (power weapons/multiple enemies).
You got shot in the back like a sitting duck. Try to remember that as soon as you get shot from an unknown angle - move.
Jump away, roll away, do whatever necessary to make his task a living hell.
3:02: Keep your camera focused on the enemy you first spot and see where he is heading. That way you can flank him and go for an easy kill.
Now, you decided to hang out in the back and wait for him instead, fair enough.
But, if he hasn't seen you, why throw a random grenade? You will only alert him of your presence and make it easier for him. Suddenly, the element of surprise got blown away along with that grenade.
When he jumped down, you should've made a move as well. It was quite given that he would go for the pulldown.
4:47: Good awareness and being ready. A bit slow on the trigger perhaps, hehe, but you got the kill. Good job!
5:04: Wrong answer!
That RPG shot was nearly impossible to make and instead you gave away your position and got sniped. Wait for those kind of shots until you KNOW you are gonna make it.
Also, be careful of going for long distance RPG/Hammer shots in the open. The smoke/trail of the ammo will alert the other team of your position quite easily.
5:23: Camera work needs a bit of improvement. He saw you, you did not see him. He killed you, you did not kill him
It's quite easy really, whenever coming around corners, remember - camera goes first, then you. Take use of being able to see whats on the other side without exposing yourself.
5:46: A small advice. When you see your teammates holding up an area of the map, don't keep your camera pointed that way. Look for the open areas instead in case someone comes that way. There is no point for 4 eyes to stare at the same spot. You want your team to have as much visibility as possible over the map.
Nice job on going into cover when hearing sniper rounds being fired, just don't stay in the same spot for too long. High level people can still headshot you while you're in cover.
6:45: Since you had your camera pointed straight ahead the entire time, you missed the sniping guy on your right. You got a bit lucky combined with excellent movement and usage of cover and your teammate was able to get the easy kill instead.
7:53: Not much to be said, you will get these kills once your aiming improves.
8:30: You saw the dude running towards the other entrance, so cut him off and surprise him. Since he didn't show up at the other side, you can pretty much assume that he climbed up to the 2nd level of the house. Now, Mr Skeleton decided to jump to the 2nd level too, so you could expect them both to be lurking around up there.
8:57: You spotted the skeleton going for the sniper. A quick bank shot of his roof and you would have made that a short one for him. You got the trade at least, so good on that. But remember that you can take advantage of snipers being sitting ducks.
9:48: I bet that one made Basil Jr smile on the inside
You couldn't get him with the AK, so you waited a bit to see what he would do. Saw him going for the pulldown and with much greater confidence than before you ran up and made that kill yours. Well done.
10:04: We'll just pretend that didn't happen, ok?
11:30: Good evading the sniper, but then you missed skeleton dude chilling just outside.
Don't be so eager to get out again though, chances are that the sniper guy is waiting for you. You spotted him first, however and had you only followed him you could have add another kill to your score. Going for a tricky there is hard, and throwing a random grenade is a waste. Good job though on getting out of there right away, since chances are he was ready around that corner after noticing Basil throwing nades at him, haha
12:58: Chloe on your team started shooting with the Deagle right next to you. Shortly after, she got killed by a melee. What does that tell you?
Someone was really close to you and had probably spotted you as well, right?
Well, you forgot about that since the other guy caught your attention with the FAL.
That allowed the other guy to catch you a bit off guard.
13:40: Guns be blazing! Haha, epic showdown being Baseball Drake in the green corner and Skeleton Bros in the red. Work on aiming and you will get double downs during those moments later.
General tips:
-
Camera movements ABC. Keep it centered at possible enemy locations at all time and use it before you go round a corner or enter a new area.
-
Move! I noticed you stopping every now and then and just turning your camera around in circles. Practice on rotating your camera while moving so that while you look for targets, you are a hard target for the other team.
-
Aiming. We'll set some customs up so you can work on it in various situations in a more calm surrounding
-
Look at the lower left corner of the screen. It tells you who killed who and which weapons that were used. It's not Cluedo, but pretty darn close, haha.
Seriously though, keep an eye on it every now and then, it will help you keep track of weapons in usage on the field and a decent idea of where the guy who killed your teammate are.
Also, look out for your teammates green arrows above there heads. If it turns yellow it means they are engaged in battle. Use this information to flank the enemy or just provide assistant gunfire. If the green arrow turns into a green X....yeah, you got it, that means the person is dead. If you don't see that the killed person got his/hers killer with them to the respawn screen, it means someone is still around that area and alive, waiting for you to kindly finish them off
I'll send you a few of my cinemas so that you can see how I play and the things that I usually do in certain situations.
But yeah, we need to get some more custom games going and go through some of the basics.
