Agent is an action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar North exclusively for PlayStation 3. The game was announced during Sony's E3 press conference on June 2, 2009.
The game will be set in the world of the late 1970s. According to Rockstar North, it will "take players on a paranoid journey into the world of counter-intelligence, espionage, and political assassinations Agent Videos ] [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Developer Team Bondi Publisher Rockstar Games Platform PlayStation 3 Release date 2009 Fiscal year Genre Detective Action Mode Sandbox Media Blu-ray Disc
L.A. Noire is an upcoming video game in development by Team Bondi and to be published by Rockstar Games for the PlayStation 3. L.A. Noire is set in "a perfectly re-created Los Angeles" of the late 1940s, with players being given an open-ended challenge to solve a series of murders. As the title suggests, the game draws heavily from both plot and aesthetic elements of film noir - stylistic movies from the 1940s and 1950s that shared similar visual styles and themes including, but not limited to, crime, sex and moral ambiguity and were often shot in black and white with harsh, low-key lighting. The game uses a distinctive colouring-style in homage to the visual style of film noir movies. The postwar setting is the backdrop for plot elements that reference the detective movies of the '40s, such as corruption and drugs, with a classical jazz soundtrack.
Though little information has been disclosed so far about L.A. Noire, Rockstar gives an impression of the game in the first trailer.
L.A. Noire is also notable for using Lightsprint's real-time global illumination technology. Team Bondi has announced that the game was in its final phase. The game would be finished soon.

Rockstar is pretty consistent on their games kicking ass, so this may be good.

This game does look good. I just wonder if the time setting will put off some people? I'm sure it will be a good game though.

Yeah, oil shortages, regular power cuts, sugar shortages, 3-day weeks, strikes all the time, the Osmonds, flared jeans....
BUT: David Bowie, The Six Million Dollar Man, Star Wars, the summer of 1976, microcomputers, TV games, the Lotus Esprit...

Currently with GTA IV collecting dust on my shelf, I'm not as confident right now to be honest. I'll have to see how it goes. I do have high hopes, I just hope that this time, I'll be able to enjoy the game instead of getting frustrated by it.

More new LA Noire stuff. The Facial animation in this is mind blowing. I think I'll be picking this up for sure.

This looks pretty nice. It looks like it is going to have an amazing story, which might do me in. Story was my favorite part about Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. I love reading mystery books, and this looks kind of like it goes along with how some of those awesome stories go. I'll probably wait until it comes out and see more information and gameplay on the game, and wait for a price drop before I make up my mind.
