I have the same thing Tox. I had a quick poker lesson but I still really don't know how to play it.

I know the rough basics, but there are apparently a few different styles in this game which leaves me totally lost. Don't think I'll be getting the outfit that requires me to break every other player in a town.

I think thats easy enough to do. Get the elegant suit, get caught cheating, have a fight, go back to the table and repeat until there is only on player there and make him bust out. Thats what I'm trying. Course I suck at poker.

Oh and if your horse gets stolen from ya apparantly its bad to make the horse drop him, Lasso him, drag him off into the woods and cut his throat.

This game is definatly a winner imo.

I can't seem to find this "Thieves Landing" place to buy that suit. Again though, I haven't been outside the first area much. I just now got to Tumbleweed and Benedict Point.

Far east, past McFarlenes ranch. If you go into the outfits menu go to the Elegant suit and press square, it should track it for you and place a purple circle in the area its in.

You have to get the elegant suit tox, you can buy it from the tailors in Thieves landing. Wear it and play poker it'll give you the option to cheat.

Yeah, I just found it on the big map that came with the game.
In my defense, I really wasn't expecting a place called Thieves Landing to be big and obvious. Seems the kind of thing you'd want keep a bit secret, no?
Plus, I haven't been that way yet, so it doesn't show up on my in game map. Gonna be heading up that way to do some boar hunting though.
Master Hunter level 6 shall be mine.

I was going througha few of the scraps for costumes, doing stranger missions and hunting cougars. You know my luck with the cougars already. I wanted my buffalo rifle though. Got it too. Missed about 15 minutes of Sons of Anarchy too. Favourtie costume so far for me is the duster one, but I want one that makes me look like Wyat Earp from Tombstone.

fell to the floor.. was expecting to be able to ride my horse drunk but no... that was one of my favorite passtimes on GTA getting hammered with my cousin & driving around legless!

Try stop drinking one before to many. I think thats 4 drinks and see how it goes.

Wonder how the shop keeper got killed. Although it does help explain something I was wondering about though.

I hate Cougars. Killed my horse out from under me. Twice.
That said, it was actually pretty easy getting the two for Master Hunter. I had just shot my final Boar when I heard one scream behind me. I quickly went into the skin animation, and the moment I finished I was tackled to the ground. Immediately used medicine, no sense taking chances, and switched to the knife. Waited for it to charge and two quick swipes was all it took. Then I slashed the corpse a couple times for good measure.
Skinned it, and as I was heading back to my horse ANOTHER one mauls me. I chased after it, but it got away. Pro Tip: Let them come to you.
Got another one later anyway, so that's out of the way. Now collecting 5 Raccoons, 5 Foxes, and 5 Skunks.
Maybe one day I'll actually advance the Story instead of doing sidequests.

I really need some moneys.
