Announced on the 8th

F.E.A.R. 3 was announced yesterday, so today we received a new trailer from Warner Bros. that gives a hint of what's to come. As you might expect, it's a lot of Alma giving birth followed by that stupid, stupid logo they've designed for the title.

The trailer is also almost all live-action sequences. There are some very brief flashes of gameplay footage in the closing moments but this one seems to be all about the trauma of pushing a demon child out of the womb. That thing looks pretty eager to escape. I wonder if hijinks will ensue?

The trailer actually reminds me of some of the ones we'd see come out of Japan for the Biohazard series. Do you like this style of trailer, or would you prefer a stronger focus on what we're actually going to play instead of what our suspension of disbelief allows us to imagine?

I didn't like the live-actionness of the trailer. I want to see gameplay, damnit! Besides, Alma definately didn't look nearly as creepy as she does in game.

I'm interested to see how this all plays out. I liked F.E.A.R. 2 (despite the fact I hate scary games) and by the sounds of it, this one is going to be much, much scarier. Haven't they hired some horror genre genius or something?

Played the first one, no subs, couldn't understand what people were saying therefore couldn't follow the story, got bored, couldn't be arsed with it. Didn't try the second

picked it up again today
that freaking alama chick scared the shit out of me again.. and the random dude appearing and then speaking random shiz i didnt understand..
and those weird as cutscenes where you are like running towards a door. then suddenly these demon things go BAM!

i screamed :S
and now i am scared to turn the light off.. cuz i fear shes gonna be like *pops up... evil giggles* D:

loove it though.
