| Man, this sucks. I was rolling along and owning faces with Boone and EDE and all bowed before me. I happened to go off course in search of an empty triangle and ran across Searchlight. While walking through, Boone just up and disappeared. I looked all over for him, but it was for naught. When i thought to try a reload, i realized I'd gone through a door looking for him, and it overwrote my save.
I thought, maybe he'll be somewhere waiting for me. I went from place to place searching, adn then i went to an NCR base. One of the guys made the comment about having Boone with me, and I realized, its glitched, and I'll probably never see Boone again.
Time to re-roll my character. |

| I plan to go it alone at least the first time. Is there anywhere that strictly requires companions?
I like how the coyotes won't attack you unless you persist in getting close to them. They'll just bark and growl to scare you off. The geckos seem a bit dumb though. I had several just run into a corner. I felt obliged to cull them from the species. Just made it to Prim before I had to stop. Going to start back in a bit after the machine's had some cool down time.
Simple yes or no question for you guys, is there anything worthwhile in the Goodsprings Cave? Didn't want to run in when I saw it as I was injured and didn't want to take on 3 coyotes at once. But if there's something useful I'll go back for it.
Minor complaint- the game seems to skip for a half second when I'm walking somewhere. Just freezes a moment, then continues. |

| Theres a Goodsprings Cave? I missed that aparently. I get the small skips as well, its really not a big deal.
Ray, try going back to Novac if you can't find Boone, since he might be there. He also might just come back on his own, since a similar thing happened to me.
Oh, and the lever shotgun is a beast. Nothing is more satisfying than knocking a fiend off his feet from 40 to 50 yards away. |

| Boone is the glitchest one in the game as me has found out due to he gets stuck or just stops following randomly. ATM he stuck in vault 34 and me has told him 5 times to go to the casino and he tries to leave but ends up at same spot after 3 mins.
the 50cal is by far me most fav gun as 1 hit will drop most creatures and launch them across map if they dont explode into bits. |

| I'll have to get my paws on one of those..... I would also give one to Boone, but I'm afraid that he'll accend to Norris-hood. |

| The cave is just, erm, to the right(?) of Goodsprings. Not sure which compass direction, can't remember. It's in the tall rocks almost centered between Goodsprings, the Graveyard, and the Devil's Gullet, I think. I missed it in the dark when I headed that way. Only saw it when dodging the coyotes out front. I'll head back and have a look when I've rested. |

| Good Springs Cave is East-South East of Good Springs I think. Think there is a useful weapon in there. Coyotes aren't too much of a problem to handle if you got something stronger than a pistol, like the Single Shotgun.
I do know that one companian can help you out in getting into somewhere however, its not nessecary and I can give you a quick tip to set you on the right path. But I reckon you will find it yourself given the odds.
Anti-Material Rifle is very very useful.
I hate the Death Claws this time round. Faster, Stronger and more endurance than Wolverine. I keep the anti material rifle with me and if I don't have it for them I sneak away. They just tear you apart in no time, even when I'm wearing perfectly conditioned armour of the highest caliber.
RayRay, if he's gone missing, eventually if you continue on without him he should just go back to where you got him from, in the meantime you get to keep his perks. I always recruit then tell em to wait in a safe house.
Nearing the end of my first playthrough, definatly missed a lot, but I wanted to see where the current was going and eventually I got myself to the point of No Return that I am dedicated to the current outcome. Wonder what will happen. |

| Yup, I went in. There's a laser pistol there, and a small cache of ammo. Downside is you have to kill a family of coyotes to get it. That's right, Fallout makes you kill puppies. (No one tell Jack Thompson.) Haven't found a good weapon yet, just using the basic rifle, shotgun, and pistol. A ways into the Come Fly With Me mission. The enemies in the lower levels about ran me out of ammo. If they aren't a patch on the Deathclaws, then I give up. lol |

| Not the first time through. It seems like more of a pain in the neck than anything. I'm planning a bare bones runthrough for that one. Start to finish quick as I can, and take Wild Wasteland this time to nab the Alien Blaster to cheese through every tough part. |

| You lose the Gauss Rifle when you go for the wild wasteland I think.
Give me a shout if you need anything from tips to advice on my end through PM. |

| Is there any use for these Star bottle caps? I'm sure there's a quest somewhere, especially since I've had an encounter related to them already. I appear to get them randomly after drinking the Sunsets too. If there is a quest, is the reward worth the trouble to look for them? Just a yes or no will work here to avoid spoilers. |

| There is a Quest. - Spoiler:
Some old merchant should appear randomly, did to me outside of the confines of Goodsprings when I fell asleep on a bed in the wasteland to give you a bit of information, you will then have to collect enough, Dunno how many yet, and go to the Sunset Sarsaparella Bottling plant (reception area) located west of New Vegas Strip on the outskirts to find a fucked up woody that looks like a mixture of the doll from Saw and Chucky for a reward. This will either Trigger the Quest if you don't have enough or if you do end it I guess.

| o.0 But...who would want it? Guess it must do or be worth something. The encounter I had was - Spoiler:
as I neared the entrance to the town you first encounter the Legion in, I was approached by a woman who had just fought a man to the death, then taken something from his corpse that she said he had stolen. My Intelligence score said otherwise, and she attacks. I win, and turns out to be a necklace with 9 of the things on it.
More importantly, while doing the Fly With Me mission, I killed a boss and acquired a certain blade. It's very large, flat and wide. It's called "The Bumper Sword" and looks suspiciously familiar. |

| You actually don't have to fight him. And there is SO much money to be gained from that area...it was nice
I'm in freeside, and about to go to the strip once I'm done exploring there. Anything I should know? |

| Thanks Liam, I tried going back to Novac to find him but he wasn't there. I haven't deleted the save since I'll go back to it eventually, but i went ahead and re-rolled, and im leaning toward melee this go. An hour in, I think I broke the early part of the game. I finished the godsprings missions, and then set out for Novac to get - Spoiler:
Boone
. I haven't been to Primm yet and I've also gone to - Spoiler:
Wolfram Ranch o something
and gotten the - Spoiler:
Chopper
which is a specialty cleaver, so Im packing heat and a giant punch to start this thing off. |
