| Maybe it's just when someone kindles the last bonfire you rested at. Not really 100% on this one. Oh, your weapon is Divine now? Remember, that makes it scale off of your Faith stat. Unless you're looking to go into Miracles, I'd suggest against it. And one other thing about Divine weapons... - Spoiler:
Killing a reassembling skeleton with a Divine weapon makes it stay down.
All weapons are upgradeable, but not every Blacksmith can do every upgrade. You won't reach the one that can do Crystal for some time. But simple reinforcement should still be doable. Also about Crystal weapons and armor; they can't be repaired. The only time they regain durability is when you reinforce them. One they break they're gone. Powerful, but fleeting. |

| it was divine, now its not. o and I shouldnt of clicked the spoiler tag. though I did think about that, but then was like nah that probably doesnt work. Side Note: I tried using a mace on skeltons thinking a bludgeoning weapon might keep them down, but it didnt.
I figured id be able to at least reienforce the crystal sword |

| I think you should too, so I'm not sure what's amiss. EDIT: I remember now. You have to have Titanite Chunks to reinforce a Crystal.
That wouldn't really be a spoiler for you though. The merchant in the depths, the one you would have bought the crystal sword from, after every time you buy something from him and select Talk he'll give you a tip about the world. That info about the Divine weapons is one of them, and usually the first. That's why I thought it would be okay to tell you now.
They are more susceptible to Bashing damage, so that was a good idea. |

| I have 3 Titanite chunks (the ones that say they are for reinforcing crystal/lightning weapons) and even if I didnt it should still show up as something I can upgrade.
and I talked to that merchant once. he said he didnt have anything to say
my thoughts were "well if blunt weapons dont work, why should divine" and I didnt want to risk anything needed to get back to my souls |

| You sure he didn't say, "I'm afraid I don't see anything here."? That's what he says if you haven't immediately traded with him (as in didn't leave the menu) before talking to him. I looked it up. Apparently Domhnall's (that merchant) crystal weapons are not true Crystal weapons for some reason. Never knew this. You can't upgrade them, but they still function like a crystal weapon in regards to durability. Lame. |

| This drop rate is stupid. Was fighting these guys earlier they were dropping the Large Titanite Shards like crazy. had more then 10 of them and I wasnt farming at the time. Now they wont drop shit. and before I had 0 humanity, now I have 11 (used items to get it to 10, then a got 11 while farming) there are 6 enemies that I kill for the items, i've done it 20+ times and have gotten 2 Large Titanite. However I have 12 Green Titanite Shards. In fact the very last time I did it 3 out of the 6 enemies dropped Green Titanite Shards.
Also anything I can spend Humanity on aside from reversing hollow, and kindling fires?
EDIT: so all the down sides of crystal weapons without any of the benefits |

| Advancing in certain Covenants requires Humanity.
I agree with you on the Drop Rate. I've always hated Random Drops. I'd much rather have it be skill based. Something like "defeat an enemy in x-amount of time or perhaps in a certain way and it drops a specific item." Random drops just pad out playtime with farming.
You can later purchase those items, but it's expensive. |

| buying it is an alternate way to farming it. all the souls you get from killing them can go to actually buying it. it is basically the same thing as kill them X times.
I figured i could buy them just like i can buy the normal ones, but I dont want to yet. I think I am going to farm this up to +10 (at +7 now) then i will go invade someones world with a weapon that should be way more powerful then they can handle. then go slaughter the boss with it |

| Depending on the type of Invasion, you may lose your Human state, but I'm not sure. I've only invaded as a Dark Wraith or Forest Hunter in recent memory, and they don't. Oh, but if you die your bloodstain will be where you fell at while in their world like normal. You will have to make it back there to reclaim your souls. |

| Cracked Red-Eye Orbs? Hmm. I think they count the same as a Darkwraith Invasion, so you wouldn't lose Human form, but would still have leave a bloodstain wherever you died at that would have to be retrieved. Another thing to remember when Invading is that since you're choosing to be the aggressor and basically lost nothing if you die while trying to deny the host you invade his progress, the odds are slightly in the host's favor. For example, the range for an Invasion is your Soul Level x10%. So, if you were level 100 you could only invade as low as Level 90 players. However, there is no upper limit. You might invade a level 200. You never know. Most players stop at what is considered the optimum PvP range of 120-130. |

| I wouldn't count on using those too often. You only get 10 until you're able to buy them. Have you met Kaathe? If you play on PS3 I may be able to give you ton from my PVP swordmage file.

| He has not. He's also really trying to avoid spoilers, so mums the word, okay? That's a nice offer though. If your mage's level is in his summoning SL range you're good. I'd suggest he take you up on it for more PvP experience. Hard to get a feel for it without running several invasions. They patched those so that you don't lose them if the invasion fails, didn't they? |

| I think I am just going to turn human and continue farming, and someone is bound to try and invade and i'll kill them that way. I've got 11 humanity anyways. that 11th one isnt really doing me any good.
also you know how I got that extra flask from them kindling my bonfire? pretty sure that was from an invasion. I have only summoned someone once a long time ago. but shortly after I got invaded I noticed I had an 11th flask. Any reason why an invader would kindle? |

| They can't kindle your bonfires. Just their version of the same bonfire in their world. If you happened to be around it, then you might have gotten the flask that way. |

| I'm a bit confused. They can't go into your world and kindle their bonfire. That wasn't what I meant to imply. They might have kindled their bonfire, and then invaded a world without knowing it had given their invadee a flask. Or it could have been someone completely different that kindled their bonfire.
You probably already know this, but for clarity's sake, all players worlds exist simultaneously, but mostly independent of each other. For example, you can't even interact with or attack another players NPCs while you're in there world, regardless of whether you're a friendly phantom or not. In more realistic terms, you're constantly connected to a given number of players at any time you're online. Those are whose ghosts you see walking around sometimes, the ones who left those bloodstains you see here or there, the ashen crystal forms of people who have been cursed, and those you can summon/be summoned/invaded by. Which players you're connected to will cycle pretty regularly so unless two people spend a lot of time in one area they're unlikely to see each other often. A very few things can influence the games of other players. When you hear the bell atop the church ring, that means another player has just defeated the Gargoyles and rang it. If you're using Miracles and someone you're connected to is as well, you'll be able to see a white halo. If you cast a miracle while in or near it it will boost that Miracle's power. If you rest at a bonfire and someone in a connected world kindles it while you're still in the area, you'll get a flask. (I wiki'd it, and that's it.) |

| alright, slight misunderstanding. yea I already know the basic form of all that. was wondering what the white halo things were.
Also it kinda reminds me of dragon's Dogma. in a slightly different way. In that game there was a boss that has so much health its actually not just you attacking him, it is everybody playing the game, they all do damage to their version and it all damages him at once. when he dies next time you come back you get loot based on how much damage you did to him, and if you are there when he dies you get really good top notch gear that only drops from that. |

| To avoid confusion, it's not an actual town. No NPCs or anything. Well, not usually. If you happen to see anyone that looks out of place...well, just don't shoot everything you see before inspecting it and you'll be good.
50K that early? I wouldn't risk it. Blighttown's pretty dangerous in a variety of ways.
Interesting concept on that boss. I really will have to give that game a try. |

| Yea I had 20k+ from farming then got 25k from the boss in the depths, then even more from blighttown. I wasnt going off the name, my friend was saying there is a town or something like that ahead a bit (like after i ring the 2nd bell or something, just not sure exactly how far)
So I im in a bit of a tough spot. I died, have over 50k souls and 10 humanity where I died. and on my way back I fell off a ledge, landed on a pole. Cant get back up at all. and if I move anywhere I fall to my death. So i figure either I can use a homeward bone, but that says it drops my souls, and returns me, so does that mean that my old pile of souls is gone even though I didnt technically die? Also I have a ring of sacrifice. It says I lose nothing when I die. but what if I already died and have some souls to recollect, since I am not leaving a new pile does the old pile die even though I died again? I have a feeling the ring of sacrifice is the way to go.
EDIT: yea you should check out dragons dogma. as im playing this I keep wanting to stop playing and go play dragons dogma. Both games have a lot in common and yet couldnt be more different. also I have that on ps3, so you can take my companion with you. and I can trade you items if you want. My biggest problem with the game is that NG+ doesnt scale. so after you beat it the 1st time its super easy, that and only 1 save file. |
