Charlitos is right, Mitch, unless you have been playing a different game, I haven't been on that much because now we have the cram time, AP US History exam on May 6 and an SAT on May 7, after that it will be a different story, but now I"m getting away from topic, if you haven't picked up any other game than U2 in the weeks leading up to your vacation here in the states you should be fine, if you were playing another game, maybe COD or KZ3, you should be fine after a few games, the controls will take a while to get down 100% but after 2-3 games you'll have the fundamentals down and that is all you need to go at least 1:1 in each match in U2, also helps not having to go up against a party of 4 guys who are all reasonably good at the game lol

I don't play much soccer anymore, had some competitive issues when I was much younger and wasn't making it fun for anybody so I called it quits, only play about 6 weeks out of the year now, at camp, with people from all over the world, makes it very exciting and fun

Have finally platinumed U2 (with the help of an 11 year old ) so i can now get back to online and use my new skins at last.

If there is one thing that the PSN outage has helped me with is getting my trophies for Uncharted 2. All I need now is to play one multiplayer Co-op (I made a new account to start again because it would be easier )
