i hear that this patch will be patched in the near future.

got this today, and am installing the patch. Anyone wanna help a noob out and play with me?

I would not mind. I even know of a private server that may be empty from time to time.

ive still yet to update this, a little scared to perhaps. anyone having good/bad experiences with the private servers?

Private servers can be good or bad depending on what you're looking for. If you don't mind 1000+ ticket servers then you'll probably be quite happy. I personally don't like them myself since I'd like some variety in the time I can play. On the other hand there are people who make the servers unranked and practice in them - that's what my old clan does with the server they're renting and they also plan on trying to get some clan battles too. So depending on what you're looking for you may have to search around, but they're good and bad as I see it.

When I'm playing I actually pick an official server now since I don't want to get put into a private one when the matchmaker does its thing. I'm not sure if I'm going to use it much now.

installed the patch, reinstalled karkand. played for a couple hours on it and imho i think it was a step sideways, instead of a step forward for the game.

i do not like the private servers at all. giving admin powers to the average US fps kid is a recipe for disaster. i got banned because i wasn't using my mic..........

i like the weapon dynamics now, but it feels like i am more stressed out when i play. also getting sniped by m26 mass darts on 90% of my games is getting old.

what are everyone elses thoughts?

I don't like the fact that I can't find official servers anymore. Some of the unofficial ones are alright, but I really don't like ending up in TDMs with 500 tickets. I really don't like it when servers are impersonating official ones too. I saw a -[DICE]- one that had nothing to do with DICE yesterday.

Guns... idk. I played yesterday for the first time in a month. I felt like I was relearning things.

I also played recently for the first time in a while. I'm glad I'm no longer feeling the need to throw my controller at my TV thanks to the USAS, and thankfully I haven't encountered players abusing the M26 Dart too much. A little sad that my favorite weapon (F2000) seems to have gotten nerfed but I'm working towards unlocking more engineer and support weapons to find an adequate replacement.

Speaking of which, does anyone on this thread still play Co-op? Today was the first day I could fine an adequate helicopter pilot for Fire from the Sky. Before, whenever I ended up as the gunner, the pilot would crash within 5 minutes >.<
But anyway, I finally beat that mission today. Anyone wanna play some more coop?

I'm usually up for co-op, and I'm a decent helicopter pilot. I'm always looking for opportunities to practice.

I hate it when they throw "push this button now" unexpectedly at us. Absolutely the worst part of the co-op missions.

Double-post since I've been playing during the last few days.

I see an advantage of the custom servers with more tickets. If you're like me and don't get enough kills sometimes to get the ribbons you're looking for, the more tickets on the server, the more opportunities you have to get the kills for the ribbons. I've been levelling up a lot faster lately despite needing more points to level up because matches are long enough (for me, anyway) to earn more ribbons and thus more points.

I've also started using some different guns which appear to be suiting me better so I'm doing a bit better now.

I've become addicted to burst fire now. Especially guns with a 2-burst instead of three (like the AN-94 or G36 ). Does anyone prefer the Russian Holo to the US one? I find the reticule itself more clear. [/b]

No, not really. I think the cobra sight is kinda annoying, the american one is much more comfortable.

I have no idea what I slap onto the top of my gun. So long as it appears to be working I just use it.

Had a fairly good day today. Only three ribbons left: the stationary emplacement and the two MCOM defend and attack ribbons.

Had a pretty good match at metro today, SKS is so beast, killed like 7 guys while defending en MCOM.
