watch, they've confirmed that they will be bringing back all of the maps from U2 in U3, the thing about what your saying is that they had a UDF DLC pack back in U2 and neither of those maps had anything to do with the U2 story lol

Ahh I want new maps with the launch. I can go play UC2 if I want to play highrise, or facility et al. People are afraid of new things... they want to stick with the old maps 'cause they know them. Screw that!... change is good ... new game ....new maps. Just saying.

New killer UC3 trailer from ND. One scene almost looks like higrise map, Could it actually be part of the story ?? 2 more short weeks to wait.

Yeah, I never watch trailers for that sole reason, haha.

Since I'm doing really good in Uncharted 2 MP and am enjoying it so much right now, it's hard to find the time to play this. Especially when I know that I will get a bit put off by the hipfire abusers.

But I did get a few games in today, didn't get to see the new Facility, but the Molten Ruins looks amazing.
I think I read somewhere that the Village from U2 will be making an appearance in this game aswell.
I'm all for having a good variety in maps, but I just hope that ND doesn't release old skins+maps as DLC.
I want BRAND NEW maps and skins, especially since the DLC will be a bit more pricey than it was for U2.

Yeah most official trailers do have minor spoilers. Thats what they show you to hook you little scenes from the game. But its from Naughty Dog so its not like I bootlegged it or something.

Might get in some games with this today, will be rusty though. FFXIII has been taking too much of my time to get the plat Razz. M9 still best, or has the kal overtaken everything?

If you use L1 the M9 is the best imo. If you are a blindfiring type of player the Kal 7 rules. I have only picked up the Kal from other players and it is really the most unaccuarate rife there isin UC3. I'll play UC3 wiht you any time, just have to realize I am only an average player. But I have a lot of fun and will always have my teamates back.

Noticed the same thing and it has nothing to do with lack of good aim. I'm not bragging, but my aim is pretty much mostly spot on. Still, guys can walk away unharmed even after taking en ENTIRE clip to the head/chest and I get sent to respawn within 2 seconds. Okaaaay...... scratch
It's by far worse than in Uncharted 2.
I've played quite a few MP's by now and ND takes the price for having the games with the most "lag".
The hit detection seems really unstable and the melees are still like homing missiles. Why do players "lock on" when it comes to hipfire+melee? I'm starting to question if it is lag or just bad programming. I mean, even I sometimes "slide" into other players.

I'll be waiting for a new patch before I try it again, it's just so broken right now that I might learn to hate it, which I don't want to.
It CAN be epic, if they just get things sorted.

Ok this is from the internet but ....., In an interview on Gametrailers, Naughty dog said that the UC2 DLC Uncharted maps (highrise, flooded/molten ruins, facility, etc.) were initially created for Uncharted 3. The development went so well and they finished so quickly that they ended up putting them out as DLC for Uncharted 2. Now they have been revamped for Uncharted 3. I thought I saw the highrise on the UC3 SP naughty Dog game trailer video I linked to so this might be true.

First time I laughed because of lag instead of shouting at the TV:



And a TDM from this morning:




I have been working on analyzing alot of the game mechanics since those games and tried out various strategies.
Personally, raising the aim sensitivity to the max helped so much, especially against CQC sprinters. Before, and as seen in the previous TDM, my aim was horrible and whenever I got into CQC's, I couldn't keep up or just went spraying all over the map.

Secondly, should seem quite obvious, but getting the feel for when to burst and for how long you should fire before letting go is crucial in winning long distance battles. It's not as easy as in Uncharted 2 considering there is alot more recoil in the weapons now.

Grenades are still somewhat difficult for me to understand. They seem really uneven; sometimes they blow a guy up from a far, sometimes you can practically put one in their lap and it just stuns them.
Defending against them are though MUCH easier now that I learned to throw them back.
One highlight so far was being trapped behind a cover and had 3 guys spamming nades at me. Picked one of them up and tossed it back. Easy triple cheers

Also, it's not as easy doing this MP "Lone Wolf" as it was in Uncharted 2. Get a good teammate to help you out in those fights against multiple foes and you will see how much that'll help on your overall performance.

Got my Fleet Foot booster on, now I just need ND to increase stopping power and I'm good to go Smile

Great gameplay and your analysis was spot on. I agree 100% with the grenade and teammate comments. I've been concentrating on finishing up Rage so I can devote all my attention to UC3. Liked and commented. +1

Awesome story. Today, I was in the middle of some craziness, I
Use my smoke bomb to get out, and I spawn right behind a camper!

One thing that is stupid with the grenades is sometimes, I lay down a perfect made that should send my opponent to the moon. Then I back away and wait to hear the sound of my kill. Nothing, it's like the grenade fell through the ground or something. It just vanishes. Like WTF, where did my grenade go and why didn't it blow up.

On a different note, I love when you throw a grenade mostly at random and you get one or two guys, awesome.

Also, why can you only have one mod on a gun at one time?

Phoenix, one possibility is that they are throwing it away. Don't run away after tossing a nade. Instead, maintain some pressure and fire at them. You'll increase your chances of killing your target drastically.

I think the full game will have some sort of "Weapon Expert" booster which allows one to have multiple mods. For now, only the character guns (like Eddy's AK) have multiple mods.

Because ND made it so, Pheonix. Tbh I'm not happy with these grenades for one main reason, they take like at least 3 secs more in U3 than they did in U2 to go off, which increases everybody's time to get away, and makes it almost impossible to get a kill with one of them if you're trying to get away from someone who is a melee whore or using a shotgun and is almost about to kill you

It's alright Static, I get my fair share of assists too. Just think of it this way: In TDM, you may be "stolen" of a kill, but still contribute to the team.
However, getting robbed in FFA can get very annoying, haha.

Tried the hipfire tactic for a few games, averaged a minimum of 4.0 kdr in every game.
Screw that, I'd rather play like I did in Uncharted 2 and have a worse kdr, at least I'm having more fun that way, which is what I'm going for. Smile

What kind of setups are you guys going with?

This is my usual:

Long Gun: M9 with Call Out mod attached.
Pistol: Micro with Blindfire Accuracy mod.
Booster 1: Fleet Foot
Booster 2: Treasure Hunter
Medal Kickback: Smoke Bomb

Might go for the AK47 once I unlock the increased accuracy mod for it. Those who have it, is it better than the M9?

I have customized all four of my loadouts, just so that I can be ready for anything that comes my way, but my first one, which is usually my main one is:

Long Gun: Marlowe's M9
Pistol: Drake's Para 9
Booster 1: Fleet Foot
Booster 2: Was treasure hunter but have now gone to whatever that taunt one is, but I have been debating going after one of the subway ones.
Medal Kickback: Smoke Bomb, definitely in love with this one.

I do not have the increased aim accuracy yet but I lost plenty of gun fights against a guy who was using it.

I have to admit that this game's blindfire and melee are definitely going to be my hardest things to get over, at least in U2 I could have a fighting chance for at least a trade, and usually it ended up being a kill for me and no kill for the other guy, but in U3 I just can't compete for some reason lol
