Anyway , I borrowed my friends copy , can't try multiplayer (online pass used) but will go through the SP, pick up some trophies and give my thoughts on it |

| I don't despise it. I am playing the SP for the second time. It's just that it's not very good. It is disappointing. After 3 years in development it has too many MP issues. Even after 5 patches it still has MP bugs. There aren't enough maps. Well, there are 12 in total, but they're reserved for specific modes, so there are only 5 or so TDM maps, for example. This gets old really fast, especially when you find 2 of those maps are the definition of frustration. The maps are too small to be interesting too. The MP is just frustrating. The animation and graphics aren't really that good. The SP is fun, but not terribly engaging -- I don't really care about the central character, so there's no emotional buy-in.
So, I would DEFINITELY buy the game at its current price at game.co.uk (£15) 'cause it's worth that. If I had paid only £15 for it on launch I would have considered it good value. But its list price comes in around the same as COD and BF and it is nowhere near as expansive or as solid as those titles. It looks and feels like a low-budget game.
The DLC, whilst having a low ticket price seems overpriced for what you actually get. DLC 1: invasion mode and a PS3 theme. Do people really spend money on desktop wallpaper??!?! The second pack gives you a new game mode, no new maps, and one new MP weapon (sledgehammer). |

| It seems the brutality mode also allows you to save progress via checkpoints, so you can work your way up to wave 30 just like in a campaign mode. So, not only is it NOT endless, but it's also not that challenging?!!? |

^ this the fact that people are defending it as a good buy baffles me. seriously you spent $5 + tax just to play against grims and some augmented grims for 30 round. oh did we mention you can just get up and leave and then come back when you feel like it. and by the way it described you can "buy" more chances to play? so theoretically, its impossible to lose.. ? i thought the point of HOARD mode was to be impossible to win. IG best be stepping their game up or theyre not going to have much left except R&C fans. overstrike looks like its an adult version of A4O. me thinks A4O was sorta the pet project to see how a 4 player co-op campaign would work. sorta iron out a few tings before throwing stuff into their multi-plat IP. if they kept resistance consistent through the series i can guarantee that the game would fair better. theyve been able to keep R&C relatively close to the same formula, adding new little features and mechanics here and there, but generally, it stayed the same. and it was fun. they did the exact opposite with R. if you looked at the first game and, then the second, without knowing what they were, you would think they were two completely unrelated games save for the chimera. |

| If they kept Resistance consistent, I'd bet that R2 would've sold ~3-4 million and R3 would've sold about the same. Would've had 10+ million combined sales between the series instead of the like 8 million they have right now. |

| R2 p'd off a bunch of Resistance fans and R3 got rid of most of those who were still left. Weird. |

It's $3.99 and I don't think I've ever been charged tax when I purchase stuff from the PSN Store... Doesn't it also unlock some MP skin(s) and the Sledgehammer for online? - Jmw566 wrote:

Pssh, keeping your game consistent? That's crazy talk! ive always been taxed? how is it i have .83 left from a $20 card when paying for things in PSN store that are usually rounded to a XX.99. i didnt buy 7 different dlc's. sledgehammer in multi is useless. when is there going to be a situation that its usefull in that the shotgun or plain melee isnt? and skins... woopty do. its a skin. its literally costing them 0 to give you that skin. they copy and paste. |
