back to the fort ... Wow it looks gorgeaus... O . O
and now the sanctuary !
Everything is flipped and smaller thats wierd... somethings are in different places so it feels kinda fresh and cool

My initial "review" of the new maps (not Cave because haven't had a chance to play it)

first the sanctuary.
I dont particulary like this map anymore, it is very bright and colourful and looks ok in its own way.
But the colours and the contrasts are distracting and things just look out right, unearthish, in a way. Its very unapealing and is very uncomfortable to look at.
I feel like its trying too many things and trying to change it a little to much.
Very dissapointing map, won't be choosing it in the que any time soon.

The fort.
This map is amazing, it looks beautiful fun to play in and its very balanced, no advantages or nothing.
Presentasion wise its very good, the sound is amazing, the rain is just wow.. its beautiful to look at and blows the village away and Flooded ruins.
The feel of the map is familiar yet fresh, its funny how small a thing like placement can changes everything. Its was one of my favorite maps in U2 and it still is even better now that camping, though not impossible is not as easy as it was in U2.
(little dissapointed that sully's plane doesn't fly over anymore )

The lost city.
Again, the presentasion is amazing, the look of this map is beautiful, I never would of thought that ice and snow would look so good on this map, Yet naughty dog made it work.
Does not have the beautiful snow mechanics as Train wreck though which is a little dissapointing and a missed chance would have added depth of the snow instead of looking like a flat surface.
it does how ever do a better job than the facility in actually making it look cold being there.
Not my favorite but still better than most of the vanilla maps.

Overall it was well worth my money, the only thing I dont like is that with bigger character models the map seem smaller, even though its only one feet, it makes a big difference and takes time to get used to.

Now hoping for the village in the next dlc

Interesting analysis, Jolli, I tried to buy them yesterday but I only have a debit card and for some reason PSN won't accept that for a payment method, kind of feel cheated though that it is $10 for 4 maps that were in U2, hope that I feel, like you do, that it is worth it

I downloaded the maps last night and popped in U3, despite how you all know I feel about the game in its current state

Started up a custom one on the Sanc and no less than 1 minute in i pulled off an epic glitch which had me laughing so hard.
What a great start, haha!

Then I actually tried to play a few games on the maps but I found myself rage quitting...
They do look beautiful though and I can't wait to give them another go once the patch gets here.

Leave it to Reo to do that, I'm still laughing about what happened on The Temple that one time back in U2, oh good times lol

All my Psn purchases have been on a debit card, with no problems at all.. Unless it's a new security measure I'd maybe try it again, V, it might have been a glitch.

Did not work for with debit card when I lived in Iceland, but it does work here in norway.
So maybe its a regional thing ?

Maybe its weird though because my friend who lives in the same town as me is using his debit card, I suppose I could contact customer support if it doesn't work today

I remember changing my adress once and it messed it up big time.
Ended up being locked out of PSN for days, haha.

As far as I know, no, but I think what the culprit is is that I logged into my PSN on my friend's PS3 last friday, got rid of the CC info on my account, and the fact that the service was down today meant that I was unable to give it another go, looking forward to having to wait a while before I try again, oh well I'll probably be 18 before I get a look at these new maps for myself lol

You should look at the adress and all that good stuff, because one mistake and you wont get to use any kind of payment method.

As expected people play very differently in these new maps than vanilla. They actually use cover And that little thing changes a whole lot.
The FAL nerf did not do alot, but atleast you have slight chance to kill the FAL Db.

Interesting, interested in seeing what the mapa feel like. I find that I can only beat FAL users if I get a jump on them at the moment, otherwise I die without a trade lol. I like what they did to QB, its not a ridiculous nerf but has reduced its use by a lot, which I am totally cool with.

Really ? I find it too be much easier to kill FAL users now, with or without a drop :/ I totally agree with you on the QB it has reduced it significally I almost "Almost" never see it anymore.

Well I'm not using fleet foot so that might be the case, or maybe its their stupid lag lol

On the side note I really like the negative booster variety.. gotta get a rampant with invalid... I must.

Have to admit I'm seeing little benefit using negs, at least in U2 there was the whole faster leveling benefit but in U3 I don't want to bother with them as much, going to run out of things to buy at some point

Eh I think its better to use negatives, helps me get up to third prestige alot faster I know they will come in handy when we get past level 75.
