Lufia and the Fortress of Doom was the very first RPG that opened the door for me to experience final fantasy. I got absolutely hooked. Lufia 2 was an SNES Gem! Considered among the top ROGs on the console (Albeit overlooked due to the other powerhouses).
So I was super excited to hear that a new updated Lufia title (Estopolis in Japan) was being made for the DS (since its rare that there are games on the system that interest me).
Having watched the trailer for it though.....this is not the lufia I grew up with. Its been turned into an action rpg which, on its own, could be a solid game. But.....with the lufia tag...its not what I was hoping for. Shame....because the redraw of the characters and remixed music would be gorgeous.....
