Street: I used a really old digital camera to do my videos and it was still enough for people to diagnose what I was doing wrong. If you look at the Dr Newbie thread you will see that last night after doing what Hoos told me (and showed me in his video) I switched from 0-20 to 21-12. Later on I got completely owned in Subbase, but generally the evening was great. The best game was in Wasteland (never thought I'd hear myself saying that) where we all worked as a team calling out enemy positions.
Yeah that looks like what I'll be using for my videos cuz getting it to work right on my laptop seems to be a huge pain in the ass in the waiting. That's one hell of an improvement though, but I doubt my skills will be able to improve that much. I'd just like to be able to get my kill streak rewards for once. I'm currently using the 4, 5 and 7 kill ones cuz they're the best I have. So far I've only called in about 2 UAV's (recently switched it out for the *** RWoTD: funny definition -- high explosives??!!! ***) and 1 predator missile. But general improvement is what I'm really going for, cuz if I continue at this pace that I'm at now I can guarantee you I'd eventually quit altogether.
*EDIT* Where do I go for the Random Word of the Day Post? I think I found it again lol.

Oh well, just my luck. But how do you normally play Eat? Do you run around with an LMG or Assault Rifle and look for people or are you the kind of guy who camps out with a sniper rifle and takes people out from halfway across the map?

If you go to the Dr Newbie thread (or my YouTube channel [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] you can see for yourself. However, that was the 'before' footage. Yesterday I tried doing what Hoos suggested which is glue yourself to the wall and sprint from location to location. That alone made a huge difference.
As for guns the one I have used most is the SCAR-H because it's easy to use and I think I have all the attachments for it. Lately I have been trying out other guns because I wondered if it was choice of weapon that was holding me back. Now that I know it was just the way I moved I am going back to a basic assault rifle (either the ACR which I just unlocked or the SCAR-H). I'm certainly not a sniper -- maybe once I get the basics sorted out I'll ask for help on diagnosing my sniping -- I just don't seem to have the speed and accuracy yet. So, for now, I'm going to be a run 'n' gun type, sticking to a route I know well and becoming part of the landscape by using the cover available.

Can't hack the PS3. If you get a good shot that gets you kills like that then fair dues.

Its their fault for being in lightning bolt formation.
Querry: For the guide that I'm working on, one of the things that I'm detailing is movement types. Could you guys read that segment and tell me what you think about it?
Where's the segment we have to read?
Dingo, I so hate people that call snipers campers... what do they think we should do? Run with the sniper in the first line of fire? I never stay in one spot for long, mainly because the killcam gives you away so they come to get you anyway. I went into a game yesterday before I joined the clan where as soon as I joined in the middle of the game, 10 secs on it and I had two guys throwing smoke grenades at me and so on, because I was at the back and getting ready to snipe. I killed one guy that was coming the other way while these two were doing stupid jumps on me, but I honestly do not understand what is the deal with it. If I want to snipe, I obviously am not going to run about with a sniper with the rest of the team, I will probably be at the back. I would like to see that kill of yours, I never killed 3 with a shot

Good games to all last night, great to see Seyel in game at last. (I think that makes it two in total now since I've known you, LoL) Sorry I got a bit despondent as the night wore on, it really gets to me sometimes and I just have to step away for a moment or two.
It didn't help that I was playing through composite cables rather than HDMI but it does mean we all get to see Seyel's incredible grenade-throwing skills (4:45)

Glad to hear you're picking your game up. I'm sure it's much more enjoyable now. I'd suggest you find 1 gun that you like and work it to death. I started off with the SCAR and used it and a sniper for almost an entire prestige. By just using 1 gun you can work on the other parts of your game without having to adjust to different guns.
Good call on sniping. There is an entire different dynamics to sniping that you're best leaving alone until you're ready. I think it's best to start sniping in Domination games on maps like Wasteland and Highrise. In Domination games, you have a clear target to protect and you have a better idea of where the other team will be coming from. In TDMs, the spawns make it harder to protect your blindside.

I agree with Hoos, I think it really messes with you if you constantly change guns while trying to figure the game out.
I have a question.....what is the deal with shooting through walls? Can the SCAR do that, do you need fmj? Someone help me out.

Good games again guys, especially to Leo (that knife throwing only ffa is fun but hell against techno - he should be in the circus)
By the way, I made a thread on a very poor Lithium based forum, for some Sony FPS or other, entitled "Wrong Names" & I've noticed a few in MW2 too..
Abomination not Domination Flavour not Favela Downtown not Rundown Fatass not Famas Chopper Gunner not Chopper Stunner Thumper not Thumber etc
"Why can't you take the dog for a walk? He needs to do wee wees!"
"We've Lost The LEAD!!"
&
"The wife of my father is not a prostitute & is not a cute young deer, ok?"
"Your Motha's a Hooka... BAMBI, BAMBI!!"
&
"Are you drinkin' Fanta by any chance?"
"No. TANGO SUCKA!!!"

Good games, buddy. I don't think I'll ever get the hang of that throwing knife...
You're right about Techno though... I bet he's got some pikey in his family somewhere.
*Imagines Circus scene... Techno as a little wolf-child, curled up in a basket at Gore's feet... *

All of the guns can shoot through some of the cover, depending on what the cover is. Thinner walls = bullets will go through, with a reduced amount of damage. FMJ means the bullets damage will be reduced far less when shooting through walls.
This site has some cool assed info on the gun damage, perks, etc. etc. Check it out:
Dunno if it's been posted before, I found it interesting anyway.

MW2 oddities observed the last couple of days:
I waited for the care package to hit the ground. I ran up to it after it had fallen but was still shuffling around on the ground and... it did for me. How can it kill you when it's on the ground?
I shot a sniper today. He was lying prone on top of the greenhouse next to the main house in Estate. How on earth do you get up there?
Double kill with a Claymore. That just tickled me.

1: Sounds like a lag issue to me.
2: You run up the large glass slope that you normally smash and jump up.
3: Claymores are great, aren't they? I like it when you get a double-kill because somewhere else someone sets off one of your mines as you shoot another guy.

Here's an example of getting on top of the greenhouse. You don't have to shoot the glass like the guys says, and I hate when people call it a glitch when it's obviously not. It's a decent place, but pretty out in the open as well. I would suggest laying down.
I've had the car package land and then roll over and kill me. Is that what you mean?

I played some search and destroy today. On one of the games, the map was afghan, i decided to use my Akimbo Uzis and my Akimbo Raffica's to kill the enemy team. And all the enemy team had mics. And the enemy team ended up killing all my teammates leaving me to kill all enemies . I was kinda hiding/ walking around in the one area. And just so happened to be, a enemy player was walking past. Now i dont no how this was possible. I come running out of the corner i was hiding in, and started shooting, now. The 2 uzi's v his 1 M4.. i should've won, but i small thing, i thought i *** RWoTD: such a harsh word. Made less alive? *** him... though i stopped firing. Idiotic mistake, the guy turns around and shoots me twice and kills me (WTF!!!).
I had the bestest shot at him and i took it, and i was shooting his back. And i fracking stopped firing. And died.
Then because he's gotta mic hes like.
" Watch this killcam " " See i shoudlve died there " " But i *** RWoTD: such a harsh word. Made less alive? *** him " " How random is that "
While im sitting there going " You prick, i *** RWoTD: such a harsh word. Made less alive? *** you, fall to the ground already "
EDIT: WTF!!! why does the RWoTD come up? and why does it change it to such a harsh word? SIX... SIX... HELP ME!!!!!. what do i do?do? EDIT 2: OMFG this RWoTD thing changes my entire sentence i was typing. OMG. Piss of you freaking RWoTD thingy.

so close to my 4.0 goal. im at 3.96. all the main kill streak reward challenges done except the stealth bomber in which I need 5 more. then i got those 1000 of each type challenges to to do.
just a tip, in settings, turn up the game sound as far as it goes, and if you have surround sound play with that on. you can hear people moving around you and people sneaking up on you. if you have those TB: P21s or the other expensive head sets you will be able to hear people with ninja pro from what i have been told. Listening to the sound is key in this game (sound whoring)
if the other team is camping, your best bet is to straight up camp back or you will get *** RWoTD: such a harsh word. Made less alive? *** lots. and if you moving around a lot, dont staying that area for to long, chances are if your running around you have been spotted by someone so keep moving unless you know you can take him/them on.
