- Street: did you watch that video of the match in Scrapyard that Hoos posted a few pages back? Just watching that and trying to imitate his playing style led to a marked change in my performance. The basic key was to sprint from cover to cover, use cover ALL the time and wherever it may be found (that is, instead of standing in the middle of the alley hug the wall), decide where you're going to go in advance and then go there. Also, picking patrol route on a sub-area of a map also helps as you become totally familiar with the terrain, where people are likely to appear from, and where they're likely to disappear to. Try it. Watch Hoos's video of Scrapyard and then try it.
Was that the one titled "EAT"? Because I did see that but I wasn't able to really figure anything out from it. I'll have to watch it again to see if I can pick anything up because like I said before watching someone do something then doing it for myself doesn't usually work well for me. Guess I'm not a quick learner or sharp enough to pick up something after being shown it. |

| Street- If you've never played any of the CoD games, yes, its extremely hard to do well, what you gotta do is practice, practice, and then practice some more, eventually you'll learn the ropes and from there you can only get better. Look at Eatty, he use to suck, I mean, he was real bad, seriously it was like he played with his feet, but now look at him, hes come a very, very, very, very, very long way! j/k Eat! |

| Thanks for the tips Sponge, but I thought I've had a decent amount of practice with about 2 days of total online playtime (not to mention Campaign mode) and being at Level 46 but about how much more practice do I need to do? Am I supposed to be bad until my 5th Prestige or something? |

| But I did play with my feet. I thought you were supposed to keep your hands free for balance. @Street: this video: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] Watch how Hoos RUNS all the time and when he does move he's never more than two inches away from a wall. He also patrols a very small area which he knows inside out. Finally, he starts shooting and THEN aims with L1. |

| I see how he was always running around close to the walls, but I didn't really catch the patrolling or the firing then aiming at his enemies. |

| Not sure how long you would need to practice for, I, however, started out with MW1, I played nothing but Free For All's. I played until my fingers hurt. I played until I wore my TV out. I played until World at War came out. Then, I was ready. |

| By patrolling I mean that he sticks to one small area of the map and keeps going over it. He doesn't run randomly around the whole map he just mostly sticks to that one corner. If you look at his shooting carefully see how when he spots an enemy he starts hip firing first and then presses L1 to bring his sights up. |

Oh I see what you mean, I did see a bit of that but didn't really think much of it. Still didn't catch the shooting then aiming thing, gonna have to watch that again lol. |

| Patrolling? what i do id pick a corner, or like a lil strip of the map.. so like in Favela... (spelling? lol) id pick the buidings with easy access to a roof, and evough cover, and id partol around there. so im almost always behind cover.. and then when the enemy figured out what i was doing, they must have though 'oh shit, this dude is gonna kill us all if we stay here' and they moved to the far right side of the map. then my team flanked them from the sides and front.. so there were like 5 dudes shooting in one direction.. not checking their six so i came from behind, got a doublekill, knifed the rest and then jumpped down and hid for a minute, they all came back again.. so by then i had my airdrop, and i got a stealth bomber from it, so yeah.. i killed them all again but pretty much, move around a bit, and do what you feel comfortable with. scope out the scene if your gonna move postitons and then run like the wind, taking cover whenever possible. as soon as i figure out a way to get my laptop to stay in one spot so i can record myself, i shall and btw, i haz a massive tv lmao so the recording might be reeaalllyy shit ill probs get to that in a few days, cuz tomorrow i haz my aunties visiting and yeah jaggo is on mw2 nao aha |

| Patrolling, when i partrol a area, its quite a large area, about half the map. i normally hide in 1-2 buildings in that part of the map and kill anyone that i see. normally if i dont die, i get onto 5+ killstreak. As my new killstreaks are care package, sentry gun airdrop and emrgancy airdrop. i can get the 1st to without a problem, last on though is hard. And as my 2nd main class is Riot Shield + Akimbo Deagles ( YAY! Im levle 63 ) i can hide behind my shield, and when the person comes to knife me, i switch to my deagles and blast em full of bullets . Street. I think i should go into a private game with you, and show you points of each map i normally partrol, then ill let you partrol that area while i run around without doing anything, if you see me, shoot me . Anyway, Got my deagles unlocked. then my friend came on and i did what i said i did before with him, we did it several times, headshotting each other, planting TI's, and me getting killed by his pavelow when he says " hide adrian, it wont see you " " bs i said, he can see you through walls " he like " ok " Lol i got my harrier, and i activated, and as he always steals my care packages, on was chopper gunner. so he activated it, and my harrier destroyed his chopper gunner ( lol. harriers attack enemy helicopters. as the are at a higher altitude, and as choppers dont go to harrier hight, the harrier destroys the chopper ) And when his chopper was destroyed he's like " OMFG, WTF. YOU EFFIN HARRIER DESTROYED MY CHOPPER " Oh. got blue tiger for barrett |

| I actually had a lot of fun prestiging, because for about 40 levels I sniped up a storm and it got a little tedious to hit two guys, leave a claymore for them and move to hit them again.
That said now I'm lvl40 first prestige and back sniping.
I'll aim to complete all the challenges I can before I move onto second prestige, just so I can enjoy ranking up again and again.
I think the hardest challenge for me is going to be getting every bullet out of an lmg clip into an enemy. Seeing as I'm used to one shot and 100 points. Had some great fun on derail this morning, claymored the same guy five times and sniped him twice more. Then his buddy got me one short of the chopper gunner.
I can't see myself getting tired of this game for a loooooong time. |

| How do those 'empty the entire clip into...' challenges work? Is it in one go, like shooting their corpse, or would it be over a period of time, letting them heal up between? I would have thought I would have got it accidentally if it was the second. Oh, and change your name back, elfy-boy. |

| I don't know how.
The empty the clip means you have to have each bullet hit a live enemy without reloading. |

I thought you were six hours so it would be 11, but I always screw that up. Regardless, you are usually on when I get home from work. Damn the man. Who needs to sleep. |
