| Got my first hatemail today.
There was a public enemy in Free Roam. I went after him, he died.
Very incoherent message, I tells you. |

| Probably trying for one of the challenges. Still some people take gaming way to seriously when it comes to been killed. |

| ^Very true. Though it is really annoying to get killed going for the Be Public Enemy for 10 Minutes challenge and having someone come kill you. I tend to watch people a bit after they get PE. If they don't move, then I leave them alone. But then, I don't really go for the PEs myself. I'm just afraid they'll turn out to be another Dingo. |

| I still have to go do that challenge. Knowing my luck it will either A: Not go well from the beginning, or B: Go well and then right at the end my internet will shit out and I'll get robbed. |

| I'm seriously considering getting this game. Afterall, I've heard nothing but good reviews. I'm just a little skeptical about the Wild West theme (I never liked the wild west) and the fact that I don't like Grand Theft Auto games, both in content and just overall "It's fun to kill everyone on screen all the time!" Anybody care to elaborate on these two points, and make me like the game? |

| I love old west stuff. But here's something you may like Charlie. Putting it in spoiler tags cuz it's a hidden trophy, so anyone who doesn't wanna ruin it can not click :] - Spoiler:
You get a hidden trophy called "Dastardly" for hog tying a woman, leaving her on railroad tracks and watching her get run over by a train

I'm not big on the Western theme, myself, but the story is actually pretty decent. And while you can do the Kill Everyone thing it is in no way needed. I played the entire game without doing it. And on the point of that trophy, it is not representative of the rest of the game. If you recall, Resistance 1 had a skill point for repeatedly crouching over dead Chimera called Lovely Parting Gifts. Not a practice I engage in, but had I heard about it before the game I may have made a summary judgment about the game as a whole and missed out on a good game. Also, - Spoiler:
I do have the Dastardly trophy, but I went waaaay out of my way to find a female bandit enemy to accomplish this task. And even then I reset after getting the trophy to keep it off my record.

| Hmm, thanks for putting things in perspective Monkey. I actually don't remember that trophy from R2, but when I read that trophy description, I just figured that might be what the whole game would be like. After all, GTA games had always been like that, and Rockstar has a tendancy to go over the line in terms of controversial content. So it's on my 'maybe' list now |

| Eh, try renting it for the night see what you reckon. Really though your more like John Wayne meets Clint Eastwood type character. As with GTA games, well you do always have a choice on what you do in them, you don't actually have to kill civvies. Your just a criminal, not a villian. |

| I've never played a GTA game, and despite the fact I didn't like some bits in the game (hint: look at the back of the box where the "M" is), I had a very good time overall. I have to resist the urge to click my tongue though to make the horse go, as that's what we do with my family's horses (not any family around here though ). I think one thing that the Resistance series really brought to my attention is that I like histories. I seem more likely to go for a game that takes place in the past then one that takes place in the future. |

That's actually one of the things that first came to my mind when I was thinking of the content in this game. I thought, "Well, it can't be too crude. Azira plays it for crying out loud!" |

| The west was full of IRL griefers, if you think about it. Taking that away will spoil the reality they have tried to recreate. |

| Wow, I am so in love with this game. Really glad you guys talked me into it I'm still in the single player (I'm at Blackwater right now) but I'm somewhat starting to dislike John, considering how much I liked him at the beginning of the story. He just bends over backwards to do everyone's dirty work. Why can't he take some initiative and get the job done without doing all these little missions that don't have any relevance to his personal objectives? That aside, though, it's still an epic game. I've been getting my Free Roam on every now and then, and it's definitely fun. With the right people, you can do just explore and experiment around the map and not even touch the Hideouts or Challenges and still have a crazy amount of fun So should I pick up the co-op pack then? |
