Rockstar sure knows how to get people settled in with Marston's family, doing nice little ranchers jobs and hunting with the son then BOOM crazy stuff happening everywhere! I thought that it painted a really good picture of the government in those days, and the dying out of the old west. Twas a great ending, but like the ending of Shadow of the Collossus, I played it over and over to try and get a different ending. Hell, when John comes out of the barn, I even tried throwing dynamite. I tried so hard to be able to get a different ending, but it never worked

Course there is one last stranger mission that his son jack can do that rounds it off nicely too.

I felt like the first ending was better than the Jack one. I didn't feel anything from killing that guy, I was actually saying to Jack "Don't do it! You're doomed to your father's fate!" But he did it.

I wonder if it's possible to Disarm him, then go about seeking revenge a more brutal way? Such as dragging though the desert with a lasso then having him mauled by a cougar?

I dunno maybe I was to rushed if I had the save file just before it I would try it no hassle to see if I could but I seriously doubt it (Tried 4 times already but died cause the fucker got the shot off first.)

Probably can't do it then. Generally the second you get a tag on his gun to disarm him, you'll automatically shoot and win the duel.
