Has anyone bought it? Was the dlc populated, like could you find many matches on the new maps?


I quite enjoyed the online competitive of Red Dead Redemption, was in the top 10 for shoot out for a while when it first came out so it might be a good opportunity to play it again.

I'm gonna start getting back into this game now that I've gotten a bit stuck in a few other games. And to mention the fact I'm back to being pissed at MW 2.

I'm back in it. Redoing the SP. Still enjoyable. Wonder if PETA ever gave out about this game.

Indeed. Think this is just for those using files that weren't patched and people farming gang hideouts for lots of exp.

I don't know the details so can't comment. I'm so ignorant of the ways of the cheat I wouldn't recognise them if you pointed them out to me.

Something like using banned files or whatever, then sure ban them.

But glitchers bug me, but I don't blame them as much as I blame the developers for leaving glitches there to be abused.

In the days of Resistance I saw a few people get banned for glitching - but the developers didn't close the holes??!!

In MW2 I've seen people glitch and some of the glitches are so well known and easy to do that it's a joke. Rather than ban the players I think the developers need a rocket up their ass!

Wonder if the developers ever get into a game and get molested with the same glitches what would they think?

I'd love to say, "Take a lesson from this, MW2" but I needn't waste my breath. They don't fix what's wrong to begin with, let alone the messes hackers and cheats are creating. /off topic rant
Really though, it is good to see a company finally taking cheaters to task.

I read the article, but I'm still a little confused. If a person played an offline, LAN game without installing the patch to get to level 50 faster, are they considered a cheater? I have a buddy who did this, and he told me that I should do it (because admit, being level 50 is a lot better than being a lower level without guns & good horses. I want to have fun, not ride around on a donkey) so I did. I thought it was legal. It's not glitching or interfering with other players. If anyone has any idea is this goes under the code of conduct that they are banning people under, I would like to know. I'd rather start over than be banned, and I would want to let him know ASAP

You are considered a cheater if you transfer your save file to a PC and use a program to modify your save file to make you a level 50 then transfer it back to the console

I'm inching my way towards the "Redeemed" trophy. I'm at 97.1% right now, and it's come down to the tiny details. I've got 4 more bounties to claim (waiting for a bounty to show up isn't fun ), one rare weapon to purchase (Buffalo Rifle), the Master Hunter challenge (only currently at level 5) and the Legend of the West outfit, which I'll get when I finish the Master Hunter challenge. Almost there

you dont have the buffalo rifle yet?

I have hardly done anything past the main stuff, and I've got it. I think buying it was the 1st thing I did after beating the main game

No, you can't buy the Buffalo Rifle until after completing the 5th rank of Master Hunter.

I'm currently sitting in the middle of a field waiting for dusk so I can fight a cougar. Life is great

ah, that would explain it then. I completed those before completing the game.

Go to a nearby house and sleep, but don't save. Do this three or four times and it'll be a new day. Bounties are posted every morning when you're in town. Real time saver.

Ah yes the Cougar Hunting. I hate those bastards. Have fun with bear and the melee knife. Chasing big ass grizzlys with a knife oh joy.

Good spawn point for the cougars though is around Beechers Hope/Great Plains.

Grabbed the 100% last night In the end, I had .5% left and no idea what it was. I was going through all my stats to find out the last bit, and as it turned out I had just forgotten to buy the LeMat Revolver. I thought the Buffalo Rifle was a rare weapon, apparently not

Knifing the bears was easy, but kind of tedious. It kept running away! I would try and get a swipe at it, but it was moving too fast! Also, getting Brumas to appear was frustrating. I did every trick I read about, and was running around for about a half hour before he finally appeared.

Anyways, only 3 more trophies left. "Mowing Them Down" (going to work on that now), "Posse Up" and "Go Team". Although I can't say I like the competitive mode too much
