You dont suck, your a good player in MW2. But you tend to look in the air for Enemy Air Support. Which is good, i do that to sometimes. You tend to run into ambushes or people camping. Dont we all? We all die in games, we sometimes never get our killstreaks on some matches, maybe all. But Street, you dont have to be negative. About everything, i find you a quite positive person, even in games. Im negative in games, i swear every 5 seconds, Remember my Text Chat session?. I was like "F this" and "F that". But we all do that, in our lives.

Thanks Jag, but I don't think I'm a good player. If I'm a good player then everyone else here would be considered a MW 2 professional, especially Hoos & Gore. When I play with them those guys are always at the top of the leaderboard. I'll say about 90% of my games are ones that I don't get any of my kill streaks even though I'm using the 3,4,5 ones. I know everybody dies in game, but I find it just disappointing that I end up having 2x the amount of deaths than I do kills, averaging around 12-19 deaths per game when only getting about an average of 4-9 kills per game. Sure I have my occasional lucky games like the one I went 30-11 in, but that's all there was to it. It was just luck. I do know what you mean though about needing to be positive about things. It's easier for me to encourage other people to be positive than it is myself though, because of my low confidence and other things that I've touched upon in my thread in the personal blogs section. I'm not really a positive person though, so I guess it's fake positivity that I give off? You also haven't heard my play when I've got my mic on sometimes lol. Depending on who's around in my house (which is usually when nobody's around) I have a habit of swearing at the game as well. I try not to though, cuz I have the habit of swearing quite a bit sometimes lol.

Now, i have heard you on the mic, you seem pretty calm alot. except when you start getting annoyed at dying, then you tend to say things like "I had you, just die already". If i had a mic on, i'd be complaining of lag. Apart from that, its a game, when you get used to it, then you'll be happy. Some people, like Hoos. Are "Pro". But they play for fun. Why? They like this series of games, so the part of "pwning" people is their specialty. Like me, im not pro. I go for those acheivements, getting a nuke for one. You, your's is getting your stealth bomber and AC130. But when you get lucky, they come. Apart from that, you'll be swearing at the TV

Gore is fairly straightforward, it's my life after a few pints.

Just got an hour of MW2. First game was 1 for 10, and the 1 was a Claymore.

then I thought I'd try an FFA. But that game was spoilt 'cause some dimwits were boosting and set of a tactical nuke halfway through. They ruin the game for everyone. Yeah, my skills are poor too but I don't go round ruining everybody else's game by cheating. I should have guessed they were doing it when I heard two people chatting to each other. I guess I forgot I was in an FFA.

Me thinks it is time to be able to kick players from game when cheating, lagging etc *writes note*

We ran into a booster last night on Domination. We spotted him early and were able to stop the nuke attempts. Just a complete pain in the ass dealing with that crap and all the air support he was able to get up. We won the game but had to spend the entire game tracking the two of them down.

Nice how their fun ruins everyone else's.

I can't imagine how frustrating that must be. Like, it's just so silly, to be that selfish, and disrupt the flow of a whole game, to do something like that.

I imagine I'll find out soon enough. I'm pretty sure I'm going to pick this up this weekend. I'd love to have a game where I can catch more of you than just Raistlin, or Cobalt/Sponge on a good night, and a ton of my co-workers are playing this right now, constantly, so it'll be nice to get some games in with them, as well.


Anyone have any advice, or some general pointers/videos, for someone who's going to be coming into something like this, completely new? My only real experience with another shooting title is Uncharted, and they're worlds apart.

I have to disagree with you, I find it unbelievably difficult to get the 3,4,5 kill streaks. But like I said that's just because I'm not a good FPS player. I have experience playing FPS games online before, playing R1 & R2, and then for PC I've played Halo 1 and Counter Strike online also. But this is my first Call of Duty game I've played online so I suppose the series is much different. Just so you know though I'm just as bad in those other 4 games as I am in MW 2. I don't wanna get my Stealth Bomber and AC130 just out of sheer luck once and a while, I'd like to be able to get them regularly because I'm skilled enough to deserve to get them in the first place. I'm also the type that doesn't get angry when things start going badly, I get discouraged and then eventually give up.

End try to play a private match with a few peeps first as jumping in the MP right away means alot of deaths.

Thanks, guys, I really appreciate it. I do have a headset, as well, so that should definitely help out a bit.

If I do pick this up, it'll be sometime Saturday, so I should be on sometime around then, or on Sunday. I want to get some Uncharted time in as well, hopefully I can get some time split between both, and get some gaming in with everyone, this weekend. That'd be wonderful.

Still a little torn between this and MAG. Dingo, I know you have both, any opinion, or advice, for someone who's torn between both titles? I'll eventually get both, I'm sure, but I don't want to stretch this paycheck out too far.
