| Ok, I was reading the rules of another forum and in their rules I came across this section at the bottom: - Quote :
- APTITUDE TEST
To prove that you have read these rules, your first New Thread as a Registered Member must have the following phrase in your message:
You are my bro, bro.
If your first thread that you make does not have this phrase, then you ain't a bro. No, your first reply does not count. I think that this is quite a good idea, while the phrase could be changed to have more of a theme to do with sixth or something (any ideas?) it is a good way to check if someone has actually read the rules and if they haven't you would know and could link them that way. Your thoughts?

| LoL, nice idea FoG, could be a laugh... We could make them come on to Liam or something, although they might do that anyway. BTW, we have rules?? Must read them someday. |

| I mock you and all that accept the rules that modern society foists upon them.
Your mother is an hamster and your father smells of elderberries! |

| Why not just redirect new members to the Rules thread? Or is that not doable?
I dunno, shoehorning that into everyone's first thread seems... weird? |

I dunno, shoehorning that into everyone's first thread seems... weird? This is just a way to ensure that the new members actually have read the rules, even though it is stickied at the top of each forum, I'm sure that the large majority of new people don't read the rules. If you had something like this in place you could tell if they had or not and link them to it again if they hadn't. |

| I dont think it is necessary. this is something you would do if you had a problem with members knowing about the rules, nor following them etc. but have we had much problem with that here? |

| I had teachers do things like this. Ten question pop quiz where the instructions say sign your name only and turn in. |

| Yeah had one of them pull that on us before. We didn't generally get "Pop-Quizes" I signed my name, then didn't bother doing anything else. Got congratulated for been lazy. |
