I...can't...wait...to ogle the orgasmicly well reproduced desert.
I...can't...wait...to rape on MP.
I...can't...wait...to play this game in all it's glory.
I am psyched for this game BIG time. Any of you remember how stoked I was for AC:B (failure IMO but I was still stoked). Well imagine that, times about 7.
Any theories on what Drake says?
"All men dream, but not equally."
Let's see. Robots don't dream. Zombies don't dream. Robots < Zombies so they aren't equal.
Drake is a robot zombie sent to investigate a plane crash in the middle of the Sahara desert.

What do you guys think?
I know I'm freaking excited for this game. Probably going to be the first game I'll ever preorder.

Even though I'm hugely excited for this , I'm also worried that it may not live up to it's predecessors super high standard in gameplay and graphics . Story looks interesting so I'm not worried about that component .

One thing Naughty Dog has never failed to do in a sequel is live up to the past games' epicness. I wouldn't worry about that. Judging from their past franchises, I'd say the worst you'll have to worry about is an increased focus on vehicle levels or other such gimmicks.

That and Crash Bandicoot: Warped. And "bitter" might not be the right word. But yeah, if Naughty Dog follows its own pattern, we'll see a rise in gimmick levels.
I'm probably the only ND fan that is actually disappointed by this announcement. I love Uncharted, but each announcement from Naughty Dog that isn't Jak and Daxter just further pushes the Jak and Daxter series away from ever getting a true PS3 title.
If it makes you feel any better, Ratchet, I'm disappointed, too. I'm going to be taking a pass on Uncharted 3, based on my experiences with Uncharted 2. We all knew this was coming, there were a ton of clues before the official confirmation, and it does suck that other franchises that deserve attention are being passed over, in lieu of it.
Don't get me wrong, I'm going to be buying Uncharted 3. I've enjoyed the story mode for the first two, so I'm hoping this one is just as good. However, it grates me to see such a great franchise such as Jak and Daxter get left in the dust in favor of Uncharted. I've wished for a while that Naughty Dog would take the Insomniac approach. Make a Resistance game one year, but a Ratchet and Clank the next. At least that approach caters to all fans...

So you're not going to be getting uncharted 3 because of one "good-turned-bad" multiplayer? One thing ND has always been able to deliver on is fun gameplay, amazing visuals and an epic story. I think that even if the story is half as good as that of U2 it will be worth your money. MP is just an addition that more and more AAA titles are including. It shouldn't discourage you from playing the single player because it doesn't even remotely influence it.
Competitive online multiplayer experiences are why I buy games. The only real exception to this was Castle Crashers, and even then, a majority of my time was spent in PvP against other players.
Yeah, Uncharted 2 had a great single-player experience, and I don't deny that for a second, but that's not going to sell me the game, because I simply don't care about it.
All games with a heavy focus on competitive online multiplayer. To me, Naughty Dog proved themselves incapable of handing themselves with managing their online experience, and so when I turn return to online gaming, I'll look elsewhere. I'm sure Uncharted 3 is going to be a great single-player game, but I hold little faith in their ability to create, and then maintain an online gaming environment. Uncharted 2 has shown this, a few times in it's history.
You know what I'd really like to see in U3? More ways to get from one point to another. Make some paths trickier, but have treasures or better guns along them. Instead of just having the usual, hold direction and press X paths, though those could still be an option, have some with a few QTE style things. Let's say path 1 is the standard fare of crumbling ledges and swinging vines. Path 2 starts out with a vine that breaks part way up, and you QTE to catch it just above the break, or snag a rock before you fall too far, with others hazards further up. Even better, make places where a failed jump or QTE won't instantly kill you, but might prevent you from climbing further on that path. Mess up enough and you have to use the simpler path. Maybe a little combat while climbing. Have overhanging rocks/signs/etc to use as bits of cover, then peek around the side and fire instead of just over the top.
I understand if you won't want a game that doesn't have MP but I'm confident in ND's ability to learn from their mistake. This is their first outing into the world of competitive MP games and I think people fixate too much on what they did wrong. Atleast they tried to fix the spawns, they tried and at first succeeded with making the matchmaking more connection based and despite how people complain about the level cap raise (because they don't look as awesome as the more well known people on the leaderboards which is essentially hiding behind others' greatness, in my opinion), that decision made the game last a lot longer. I think ND will get this one right.
Right. The thing about the multiplayer is: yes, it's broken. There's no denying that it's fallen from grace. But the other thing to consider is that it's fallen from grace because ND has been working on ironing out the problems in U3. I would be very much surprised if its multiplayer is not leaps and bounds ahead of Among Thieves' in every way. I would bet that rather than focus their energy and effort into fixing a game whose player base had gone on the wane, they decided to take the players' suggestions into account... for the next game; my guess is that we'll see fixes in Uncharted 3 for all the problems that were never given attention in Uncharted 2.
Endlo, I seriously wouldn't jump to conclusions just yet. Based on the fact that they have made some good progress on the 3rd means that they simply had to make priorities. I'm quite convinced that they just didn't lend the players a deaf ear, but instead gathered all of the advice and complaints just so they may have a more solid ground to stand on when developing the MP for Drakes Deception.
We can all agree that it could've been dealt with a more professional approach from their PR, but I guess they didn't want to spoil anything for the reveal of Uncharted 3.
I'm glad y'all are excited, and I hope the game delivers, I just have very little faith in Naughty Dog's ability to pull this off. I've made enough giant wall-of-text arguments in the UC2 threads, about my perspective and opinions on how things went down, with UC2's multiplayer, so I'll go ahead and leave it all there.
Enjoy your hype, fellas, I really do hope it lives up to it. They've certainly got big shoes to try to fill again.
I just really want them to fix the lag in the multiplayer . The multiplayer certainly has potential and definately works but lag let the multiplayer down heavily for me . The question is , can Naugty Dog do it ????????? .

I do believe that they can do it. It'd be better if they had regional matchmaking, but even then, I do think they'd be able to do it
