| I admire the passion with which you defend your argument, bud. I don't get many good debates. lol But I have to wonder if there's something more behind this... ... Turtle... Did QTE's burn down your village when you were a kid? *imagines a young Turtle desperately trying to put out flames, but he just can't press X fast enough* (Just trying to keep the tone light. ) I honestly don't see the difference in melee. Let's play it out right quick. I run up to Ememy X, dodge his gunfire, then get into range and attack. Animation starts and the first blow lands. The instant I see the strike connect, that's my cue to hit another button. This time the enemy has caught my arm and is applying pressure. I see Drake's body spasm a bit, and that's my cue for the third button press. Drake then ducks the rapidly approaching elbow and lands the final hit of the combo. On lower difficulties, it even still displays the and prompts. Climbing as it is, well, it's a great way to enjoy the scenery. Other than that, it's kinda...boring after a while. It needs a bit of spicing up. If there's a better way to do it, I'd be glad give that a shot. This is just one idea. Also, climbing killed my father, so I'm out for revenge by making it as complicated as possible. |

| The level of QTE's in the first 2 games were perfectly fine for me. I'll be happy if they keep it the way it is moving into the third one here. |

| The thing about QTE's in UC1 and two as well as other games where they where done well (IMO of course) is where they make sense. For example, dodging a falling object and rolling into cover being the same button. Flipping something over and rolling the analog stick that same direction. Stuff like in RE5 where dodge could be tap X really fast or press []X at the same time would be chosen at random. This is where it's annoying (IMO).
Also I meant new trailer, not announcement. |

| So... uh... how does one go about getting the theme? I entered the code, but only came out of the deal with the avatar - which isn't all that cool-looking. |

| The theme pretty much is the wallpaper, with edited icons though.
If someone REALLY wants it, they can create a European account and use the following redeem code: F57M-BNN2-G33H.
As far as I know, only the theme is accessible on all account whereas the avatar is restricted to that region. Might be entirely wrong though, hehe. |

- I think it's a pretty safe bet that ND will push the graphics hard in UC3, sounds to me like somebody simply dropping the name of their magazine into a high-profile story to get it around.
I do wonder where the story will be set though, I think maybe Egypt or some desert place would be a cool background for the next Nathan Drake instalment... - Turtle on Mon Jun 21, 2010 wrote:

Let's just hope whichever ND Dev it was reading this thread didn't go on to be influenced by the next post in any way. - Leo_337 wrote:
- Hmmmm... That would be around the Greek islands wouldn't it? Borrowing heavily from the God of War parts bin... I wonder if they'd consider the mythology route, or if they'd stick with the reality base as they have done so far. Maybe the Scooby Doo storyline, where you think it's a giant monster but it's just the grumpy old janitor under a sheet.
Please, no Scooby Doo endings, ND.. Please? |
