I hear ya there, they could have created so many MP maps pre-release, like the ones that you mentioned, but they could also do some cool things like the tunnel that lead's to Marlowe's base, just one long battlefield with a few side areas to flank, sort of like the Fort but that would still be cool lol

yeah totally, It could be based on the syrian market section of the sp, and be as long as "the fort" only a little tighter.... Very Happy= :D

I like the tighter idea, but I think it would be better to have it based off of the tunnel that lead's to Marlowe's Hideout, don't think there is a market scene in Syria, unless you mean Yemen, in which case the Yemen map kind of throws it in there

Haven't gotten a chance to look at it yet, but I will once I am done with my work for the night, hopefully before 12:30 lol

I hear where you are coming from, Jolli, there are many great candidates for MP maps, it just requires ND to do it justice/other stuff, tbh I think that the cruise ship might not happen because ND has to choose from the massive cruise ship on what would be a great idea, I know that theater in the ship would be a great candidate but I just don't think that it can be turned into a good MP experience for everyone, too camper friendly, I mean the Fort is totally camper friendly, heck its a camper's dream, I almost never camp, but I usually started out every match I played on the Fort camping, however, ND designed it in such a way that those of us who do not like to camp have the opportunity to do well on the map, something that in my opinion the theater part of the Cruise Ship lacks

Going to get on for some games to try the new patch soon. Won't be able to game long but enough to get some matches in. A lot of reports postiive on the stopping power. We'll see how it handles.

Now you guys know what I'm talkling about... Hell yeah !.... cruise ship like the casino /hotel in Blops...... balconies and rooms, stairs maybe a dumbwaiter.... portholes..... a stage in the middle of a amphitheater with hallways on both sides running parallel to each side..... and then the ship rocks with waves and power weapons are exposed ! I want Drydocks so bad I can taste it with waves and water stealth..... holes in buildings and ships, maybe a sniper spot from a crane. The possibiities are there it is/was just a matter of ND putting in the work on new maps.

Thanks for posting this, buddy.

Crushing, here I come! Guns firing

Regarding new maps, I'm pretty sure the next map pack released will contain nothing but new maps, like Dry Docks and Borneo (no, we haven't had a MP map based on that), possibly along with London Streets.
It's just that I don't know if there are that many chapters to build maps from. scratch

Apparently they also needed fleetfoot. They made it so you can't strafe back and forth as easily. You can still strafe left OR right but not left AND right as much. You "slide" a bit between shifts

I'm all for this

I'm not.
They should have nerfed the speed of which you can move, but this...this just made it into more of game that punish people who actually have skills.
They kept the 4-hit FAL, they kept Instabooms, they kept hipfire.

Stopping power is definitely there, maybe a bit too much, maybe not.
Hipfire accuracy is still too damn accurate, sprinting needs a HUGE nerf and grenades needs to come out A LOT faster.

Overall the controls are bad as can be, there is no way you can be fluent in your movement like in Uncharted 2. You come up against 2-3 guys and your actual skills/reflexes means squat, you can have pin-point accuracy but you'll still die. You can't evade at all.

Ugh to the multiplayer, it's just pure trash as of now. :sick2:
Singleplayer is nice however, I really fancy the new controls cheers

Thankfully I'm getting Super Mario Galaxy and Zelda: Twilight Princess today Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception (Continued!) - Page 2 1931472354

Haha, I love Baseketball so much Very Happy= :D

Things I would want for the next patch:

Higher sensitivity options for aiming
Bring back U2 shooting dynamics (no random recoil please)
Fix the broken FF (yeah, it's due to reducing movement speed for running'n'gunning)
Allow to see who is in a party from your lobby
Allow players to join friends in-game if there is an open slot
Make grenades come out faster
3 melee attacks to kill instead of 2
Lower recoil for FAL-SS but also lower the rate of fire
Remove the inconsistent rate of fire for the FAL-SS and Para 9

Kinda enjoying the new stopping power though, might start using the G-MAL again (the TRUE FAL) Razz

If you would lower the rate of fire on the FAL-SS and para 9 they would be useless...again, and dont get what you mean by random recoil ? But other than that I agree with everything you said.

Still enjoying the multiplayer though. Razz

PostSubject: Re: Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception (Continued!)   Uncharted 3: Drake's Deception (Continued!) - Page 2 EmptyMon Nov 28, 2011 7:27 am

What I mean by lowering the RoF but remove the jamming and random recoil is that the Para 9 sometimes jamms/locks up and you can't fire when pushing R1 whereas in Uncharted 2 a bullet came out of the gun as you pressed it.

The FAL-SS was meant to be a long range gun, but the recoil makes it a medium/close range gun. Lowering the recoil AND RoF will make it a long range weapon, as it should be.

The random recoil is that the reticule "jumps" in various directions after a shot has been fired. There is NO way to control this and it just ends up adding a random element to gunfights. Let players control as much of their movement as possible.
I don't want to lose 1v1's just because your recoil was more helpful to you than mine was to me.

Played some more now after I got home from the gym. Kinda liking the new strafing and stopping power. It makes cover more useful and you have to be more aware of your positioning and surrounding! Clap

I'm gonna post a game I just played pretty recently. Nothing crazy, but it should show those of you who haven't played with the patch yet how stopping power has been implemented. Aaaand you can see how I suck at this game Laughing

Finally got Monastery beaten on Crushing today....had 0 (ZERO!!) lives left for the last part where you have to protect the statue and then take on a bleepload of guys.
Epic game! cheers

Been enjoying the new patch more and more, despite my little rant earlier today.
Never got my new Wii games so I kept playing Uncharted 3, which I'm glad I did Smile

Posted my first post-patch game from today in the Uncharted 3 cinema thread, please have a look and leave some comments:

no don't touch the Para 9! It is my absolute favorite weapon in uncharted. Its perfect the way it is.

And to those that complain that blind fire is overpowered. At close range it should be. Think of it in realistic terms if a guy is far off your going to aim down the site because you need the accuracy. But if I guy is 2 feet in front of you, you should be able to hit him just fine without looking down the sight. And you should be able to track their movements a lot better from the hip then looking down the sights.

I only had a few games with Raist , played terrible and had awful accuracy but that comes with not touching the multiplayer for nearly a week Sad .

However the new patch seems like a good start , the stopping power allows you to counter them blind fire noobs somewhat . A few times the usual kal-7 abusing noob charged at me and I slowed him down so much with the m9 that he didn't even come close . The sprint has definately changed slighly as it is now slightly harder to "zig-zag" which is another plus in my book . Will have to play more to fully test it though . Looking good so far .

Tbh I have not detected much of a difference in the game since the patch, maybe its because I only played one game of plunder before I logged out, there was a guy who was going CRAZY with the blindfiring, like absolutely crazy, they say that Aiming is better than Running and Gunning, not from what I can see........
