| You could just jump to 1999 mode aka hardcore without even finishing the game. |

| Should've done that. Oh well. I guess I'll wait until I beat it on hard first. Probably for the best.
This game=amazing. |

Same. I could have unlocked 1999 mode via the Konami Code, but chose not to in case it voids the chance to get the trophy for unlocking it. Like J said, it's probably for the best. I've died a couple of times already. Up to the part where I'm about to meet our leading lady. Had to give my PS3 a break so that it doesn't die. Loving the game so far. This one differs from it's forerunners in several ways, but also shares many similarities. You can only carry two guns, which kind of sucks. Haven't found any upgrades yet, but I expect any upgrades are made to the character, not the individual weapon you find since they have a place in the submenu. Vigors work like Plasmids used to, and each one can get upgraded with two extra effects. For example, - Spoiler:
The first one you get will be Possession. It allows you to turn machines into allies. Shortly after you'll get an upgrade that lets it work on humans. Don't know what else it will get yet. Also, every one I've encountered so far has both a normal use and a trap use. Planting a Vigor as a trap can allow it to hit multiple opponents, or even have alternate effects. A Gear system replaces the old Tonic system. This might mean it has less versatility for your character "builds" than the previous games. Whereas in the Bioshock 1 & 2 you would have several different Tonics to choose from and a number of slots to put them in, Infinite gives you a mere 4 places for Gear. The effects seem to be fairly similar to the previous tonics so far. Can't wait to get back to playing. |

In North America that's included on the disc version too. tf2 items, and the new xcom game? my point is you get a lot more than the original bioshock with it. you get newer games that not everyone has played |

You are a bad ass Palmer !! I wimped out and am doing my usual normal mode. I'm following reviewer Adam Sessler's advice and taking in everything no rush to finish ! I read the Irrational Games Kindle book, " BioShock Infinite: Mind in Revolt" that came as an extra from Amazon, not bad and at 35 pages its really more of a short story. I think Cobaltmonkey could do a better job writing a Bioshock Infinite Columbia story if he wanted to. |

| The game is good though me sucks at all bioshock games as me a run in and kill everything while this game tries to make you think before attacking. Everything runs smoothly execpt every now and again it tries to load on the run and freezes it for a few secs.
You have to upgrade your weapons as you will need it later on.
Do not rush through the game as you will miss heaps of hidden things that will help you out big time. Me played it on hard and died around 4 times due to running in guns blazing and miss-timing jumps.
If you need help with getting lost (yes you will get lost) just give me a call. ^_^
Length of game me would say about 15hrs if you do side missions and explore everywhere but idk how quick the game can be done. Me thinks theres around 36+ chapters. |

| Is it not on the disc? When you put in the disc, is there not a little bubble that shows up under the game section of the XMB, that looks like a download waiting to install? |

Nvm I'm dumb After you put in your disc in the PS3 and sign in. On the PS3 screen directly under the Games icon you will see 2 disc icons , one for Bioshock Infinite and one for Bioshock. When you use your controller and roll over them they will display which game they are and you can open the one you want by clicking on it as usual. |

Did not see the NVermind. They change up how DLC and extras are presented on these games , why not do it one way ? |

| Finished the game a minute ago. My brain is still a little broken. A lot of things are unclear to me at the moment, but several other things finally make sense though. I didn't really keep track, but I'm guessing it was about 20-25 hours on Hard mode and taking it slow. And I still managed to miss a few things. Couple of voice records, at least one Infusion, and a number of either Telescopes or Kinetoscopes. All of which I intend to pick up on a future playthrough, you'd better believe it.
Hard mode had some tough spots in it. 1999 mode will probably be very frustrating. I think the setup I went with on my Infusions worked well enough. I maxed Shield first, then split the rest up through Health and Salts. Ended with 10 Shield, 7 Health, 6 Salt, I believe. Shield seemed flimsier than Health for some reason, the regeneration certainly made up for it, imho. My playstyle was to move quick, go for crits wherever possible, and rely more on guns than Vigors. A word of warning regarding money; there's not enough of it in the game to buy everything. The deaths I suffered didn't cost me that much, so I'm fairly confident in saying that you can only max a few guns if you want to put any upgrades in Vigors. Or instead of trying to max guns, just buy the upgrades that look good to you. Each gun has 4, but you don't need all of them for it to be effective. I generally went with as many damage upgrades as it offered (2 apiece, I think) and bought ones like extra ammo capacity or clip size sparingly. Same goes for Vigors. Pick the upgrades that are likely to help with your playstyle.
There are 8 official Vigor Combos needed to unlock the trophy for using them, but those aren't the only ways to combine your abilities. One of my favorite tricks was to either have Elizabeth pull in a turret, or to leave an enemy turret alive and Possess it a ways from enemies where I'd have cover. Then I'd use the secondary function of Undertow to pull enemies in front of it in amounts that I could handle and easily take them down with the help.
The only Gear I found any real use for was something that gave me Salts back on a kill 40% of the time. Just about everything else was fairly forgettable, and I really think the old Tonic system was better, or at the least more memorable. |

| I'm torn. I want to do a review for this game, but that would be time I could spend playing it some more. Yes, for the first time in a long time, I feel the need to dive in again immediately on a game that doesn't have any sort of New Game Plus. 1999 Mode can wait because I'm sure I'll be playing again. Last time I was so caught up in the story that I think I didn't give the mechanics as much attention as they could have had. I took it slow, but it was still all about getting to that next bit of story. To that effect, I'll be playing on normal. Good way to pick up those other weapon trophies too, I suppose. |

| I'm torn too, but for a different reason.
I have a whole evening/night ahead of me, I could either boot up my brand new copy of BioShock Infinite I impulse bought 5 hours ago, or I could finish another ending in Fallout: New Vegas, bringing me closer to the platinum in that game.

| New Vegas will still be there. Don't wait to play Infinite. Why? Because it's fantastic? Because it's amazing? No. Because I want more people to complete it so I can talk about the ending. |

| Haha, I really want to play it too, I will leave HardCore (New Vegas) for another time as I don't want to burn out on the opening hours of that game (would be my 3rd time through the opening hours which are generally the same). Other then that t's just the endings.
I heard the story for this requires focus in order to follow/understand ? |
