Skyrim was an awesome game but it's pretty disgusting how Bethesda treat it's PS3 customers. I still enjoy their games though and Skyrim really got me into action RPG"s. Hence why I've been buying a few of them lately. Heard this is one of the best of them

Doubtful, I would say they would be getting some of the cash from it. No point in holding it back now when no-one is buying the game on their primary consoles new so might as well make some money allowing it to be bought from an untapped reserve of people who do want the original. Even if some went out and bought an Xbox they would be buying it second hand and the original game second hand as well meaning less money in for Microsoft if they still hold the rights.

MS published the 1st game. they dont own the IP. the mass effect trilogy is not the same as the original mass effect. it is technically a different game. just like ninja gaiden sigma 2. MS was publisher for Ng2 so it couldnt be ported to the ps3, however sigma 2 is technically a different game so MS has no hold over it. because they dont have any claim to the IP only the publishing rights of that very specific game

Well I would but I don't have online. Oh and EA Servers hate me and never let me connect to them. Even after I jump through all their hoops.

double the largest DLC they have done for any ME game.
playing old games through ea servers sucked. no problem for me playing mass effect though. i've got almost 300 hours on it

Is this for the PS3 ? I've been confused because I thought only ME2 and ME3 were available on Playastation ??

Ah no this was big news last year surprised you guys missed it ?, PS3 now has Mass Effect 1 in both a trilogy pack and as a standalone download on the PSN store. Apparently we were never going to get it but looks like we did . Microsoft probably had a contract to the rights for the original game and it expired last year or something ?

Thanks MItch. EA had a big sale and I noticed it. I thought it was just a mistake and they meant the xbox.

Yeah came out in December or something, I'm going through my Bioware games again as they are back in rotation and figured that when I get both Dragon Ages done I'll move onto Mass Effect and Start from scratch altogether.

Heard about it, think it was yourself or Nobody that mentioned it previously.
