need the aussie contingent back, plus we need to get wadey a copy. if i was smart i would have loaded up on bf3 copies when it was $28 on black friday.
anyways the latest poop from the battlefield forums is that a moderator was caught cheating in matches, and tried to hide the threads popping up with the evidence. long drama filled story later, that mod is gone and the people he banned to cover up were unbanned.
That's crazy! I'm glad the innocent got redeemed at least.

yeah, just goes to show that there are at least a few honest people out there trying to keep the servers clean.
had a lot of fun tonight going all out mav. dont get that much points but it really helps out the team if you can rally a couple people to seek and destroy what you are marking. plus a little mav killing on the side ^^.
on tehran tonight i saw a whole squad on the top of the highway, so i started doing dive run on them. killed two and pushed one over the edge, LOL. next up on my list of things to do with a mav is tip a helicopter over.
ps: p90 is a heck of a good gun

anyone else running into lag on servers that show full bars? it feels exactly like bc2 did where your character will go for a bit, then shift over a couple feet. nerve racking to say the least.
gg lazer, when i wasnt getting lag and wondering why my shots werent hitting, lol.

Well it seems that 1 squad of 4 can hold back 12 enemies on Seine Crossing in conquest. 170 kills and 39 deaths in total for the squad me was in.
Using guns me dont touch atm and boy is it fun.
Me killed a scout chopper pilot with a pistol when it was flying by while me was running for cover and got sent a message from the guy me killed "No skill". It was a good lol and a team mate stole the chopper and flew it into a crane.

How the hell is that "no skill"? It's pretty hard to kill a chopper pilot when he's in mid-flight..

ill wait to see how this patch comes out until i give it the dmick seal of uncertain quality.
voip should have been a week one fix, and the only time i can get it to work is when i am playing with a friend that lives 10 miles away.
maybe someday when the stars line up just perfectly a couple of us can get in a good match or two.
also on the horizon is whatever the second dlc pack will be.

If the DLC is going to be anything like BC2's DLC, I'm not going to pay for any of it. The DLC was overpriced for what you got in BC2 IMO and I don't intend to make the same mistake twice in BF3.

the ones that were already on the disc we paid for and were just getting a unlock code? or the vietnam?
if they end up being such a mixed blessing as the b2k maps ill stay with what i have, in which case ill probably leave the game on the shelf. boy oh boy dice did make a mean ad campaign for this game though!

The VIP map packs were all right. Some were great maps and they were just slipped into the regular playlist (which sucked when you had friends who didn't have the VIP code). If I recall correctly to buy it was $10, and that felt worth it.
I was not impressed with the Vietnam pack for $15, especially when you pick up a few months after it was released you keep getting stuck in the same game with all the same people you just left. No one played it after a while and I found it infuriating to play at times.
The Onslaught pack was worth $5, not $10. Take some old maps and rearrange them a bit, throw in some infinitely spawning AI and off you go. It was definitely not worth what they were asking for.
For BF3 I got as much free stuff as I could by pre-ordering the game at full price and I don't intend to give EA money for any more terrible DLC. If they want to sell it for a reasonable price then I'll think about it, but I felt cheated for every piece of DLC I had to spend more money on with BC2.

i never picked up vietnam, and i totally forgot about the atrocious onslaught mode. i bought it day one and after doing a couple runs tried to bash my head in for paying for it. >_<

well i went into the store section of bf3 and while it was loading it showed me a pic of some guy shooting an rpg at the side of a building, with tattered shop covers blowing in the wind. as soon as the store loaded the pic was gone.

It might have been the store loading. I don't think DICE would be doing anything with the store on the weekend.

I resent Dice for BF3 on consoles... should have been a pc exclusive.. would have been happy with a Bad company 3 instead.. It must be strange that it took this long to patch the VOIP... UGh!
