To me the game doesn't feel like uncharted, turtle. The movement is very slow, the climbing mechanics are broken (especially on the plane segment), guns recoil downwards an equal amounts as they do other directions for some unknown reason, I guess ND knows a lot about guns, and the power plays make me not want to play with you guys, and I will always want to play with you all. It was a blast partying up with you all in U2 but I regret it every time in the beta because of power plays.
I guess I'm the only person here for whom movement speed is just as fast. Maybe what's throwing you off is the movement speed while aiming, which admittedly suffers from the lack of Fleet Foot? In any case, even if it is slower, there's still sprinting to pick up the slack, and honestly, having variable movement speeds makes the game more strategic and makes chasing someone across half the map a much more rare occurence.
The climbing is, again, more or less the same as in U2 - that is, mostly reliable, with a few hiccups in regards to specific ledges within a map. Yes, the trucks in the cargo plane segment are a little dodgy, but only a little. I can count on one hand the number of times I've died because the climbing didn't work correctly rather than because I didn't think my jump through and made the wrong move. Maybe this is just me and my spending the first several years of my gaming life playing mostly platformers, but...
I haven't noticed any gun recoil downward, unless you count the character's trying to steady the gun after recoil and making the scope wobble in random directions as "recoil."
Power Plays? Well, I've said it before: they're a bad idea, designed to give the losers a bigger chance of winning and punish those who actually are playing well enough to win. The logic is flawed from the get-go; if you're beasting enough to activate a Power Play, then that Power Play isn't going to affect the game enough to make a difference anyway. That said, Marked Man and Exposed are minor annoyances at worst and can both be manipulated to the winning team's advantage if they want to set traps. Double Damage sucks, yes, but that takes up... what, sixty seconds of the whole match, at the most? I've seen you play enough to know that you're more than good enough at the game that Power Plays shouldn't matter to you.
I just... I dunno, it seems like this Beta is getting an irrational amount of hate considering how much it's improved on U2, and considering it's just a Beta.
Some people prefer MP over SP. Look at CoD. Par SP and fun MP (arguably).
I agree that SP has it's superior moments (not to mention it's consistency ) but some people (myself included) grow tired of the predictability of AI and prefer the intellectual challenge of a real person, like the aliens from Predator
^I support this. Just don't expect to be able to steel fist really good *cough* Turtle *cough*
You are just being emo about that shit, hoe. Guess that's what happens when you get all sweepy-weepy. I have a video that just needs my commentary over it that proves you "Steelfist" just fine. You've just got to get used to WHEN you can hit. (^_-)d
Downloaded the beta last night, and got a few rounds in. There isn't anything that really stood out as a horrible sore thumb to me. Even the power plays (which still seems like a silly idea) didn't make me rage, but added a little bit of dynamic flow to the match. In fact, in the seven or eight rounds I played, the power plays never even changed the outcome of the game. The only complaint I have so far is (as people have mentioned) is that everything does feel sluggish and slower paced, and the buddy system is confusing, but that might just be because I don't know what is going on yet haha
Yes it's full of gimmicks, but I find it fun so far, and my definition of fun has nothing to do with winning or losing or kill/death ratios. Keep in mind this is the viewpoint of a guy who still finds Uncharted 2 fun despite all the apparent problems people have with it. Maybe I'm just easy to please
I should be around Monday, I would love to get a few rounds with you Turtle, along with anyone else who would want to I haven't seen anyone in a long time so it would be nice to catch up with everyone!

I wouldn't mind a game or two either .
Me wants the new map !!!!! . Ggs wolfcub , turtle and silver ( sorry , I should've gotten myy neighbor to go home so I could chat to you guys and focus more on the game )
Twitter says that the U3 beta has passed a million users. I dunno if that's a million sign ins or 1 million players online at one time (probably last Friday evening) but that's still more than CoD which is an achievement in itself.
