@7:42 ... Man, I wish my opponents would stand still and let me melee them like that, Red...
As it happens, I can pile half a clip into them, then melee and still not get the kill while they just hit me once and drop me.
So I deleted the beta too.. When you put a third burst of G-MAL into someone and they still keep coming for an easy melee you just don't get any enjoyment from the game. We play these things to exercise our skills, no? But when the odds are stacked so high that you need a ridiculous amount of skill to have any hope of overcoming them it only induces rage and frustration... No amount of clever killstreak/bonus/powerplay ideas will help balance that. I don't know what ND should do to fix it, I think the financial gain of appealing to the broadest cross-section will mean that they don't fix it at all, merely patch it every so often so that whatever group of players have been complaining loudest suddenly find it easier to do well and keep it alive until number four nears completion.
^So much of this it's disgusting. I think it may be your connection though Leo. I remember the lag you suffered though in U2 was quite reminiscent of what you described here, being melee'd in one punch.
just had a great thought in reguards to power plays, the one that activates should at least be somewhat determined by the size of the lead. for example the double damage one shouldnt activate unless there is 15+ score difference for example. only have the really powerful ones activate when there is a huge score gap, if there is a smaller one, then have one of the weaker ones activate
A lot of people where suggesting that on the ND forums. I think that ND is going to implement it because it is such a good idea although I have a feeling that they are just going to mess something else up further.
OK , I don't know what was happening tonight but throughout my games with Raist and afterwards I was playing very well .
I went 14-8 , 23-10 and 15-3 0n Yemen ( I love the map btw ) , 10-2 on my very first hardcore game with my very first uncharted connect 4 ( lol i have never gotten one ) . Then the grand finishing game I nearly died on 8-0 than ended up going 16-2 on the Chateau with MY FIRST EVER UNCHARTED RAGE !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You all probably may know I have sought after this medal for a looooonnnngggg time , sooo happy !!!
I think Yemen is becoming almost as bad as High Rise for me. Well, maybe not quite that bad, but it's really difficult to read, so I wouldn't necessarily classify it as a camper's paradise. I have more success camping the back room of the Chateau.
As the lag decreases each day, the more fun I'm having with this beta. I'm starting to like the class creating ability. But the powerplays are the only thing that is keeping me from picking it over KZ3. I've already had a few matches of this crap. I know its been stressed before by others, but this game could be so much better without them.
GGs Dragon. Sorry, I was dieing so much, I had no idea how much harder co-op is than UC2's co-op.
I am, and I have Nobody. The spawn system is ok if you're not on the plane........and........the rest of the plethora of compliments I have eludes me at this moment but I'll get back to you on that.
Mitch I'm sorry if your spirits are dampened. It was just an observation. Lag is less prominent in this game and with the damage being lowered accuracy is more useful. To me that makes for easier rages. For others it might mean that high streaks are harder to get if they are comparatively less accurate. Please don't get offended, I just didn't clarify. Keep up the good work!

GGs games to everyone I played yesterday. Sometimes I wished Airstrip would just stay on the first part of the map. I like having the to account for the movement of trucks, and just the fact that not many games offer moving objects as a key part of a map. I'm finding I have to pick my poison between the AK-47 and the G-MAL. While the AK takes seemingly a half clip (or more) to kill someone, the G-MAL takes 8-9 bullets and is semi-automatic. Luckily on Yemen I snipe in the tower, or go for the T-Bolt sniper (I think that what's its called.)
A quick apology to Raist for missing his invite as well. I'm just not used to not seeing notifications when I get one.
I got so many Pull Downs on Yemen tonight. Everyone who climbs those towers stands right by the ladders to snipe. *Yoink*
Oh, yeah. Got myself a Yippie-Ki-Yay medal as well by ziplining down from those towers. Dropped a 'nade on a guy that was gonna chuck a propane tank at the center treasure, then shot him in the head for good measure.
Did a lot better at FFA than the other modes so far. Reached a mighty level 22 mostly because of the ones I played tonight.
Have they played with the AK's stats? I could barely kill anyone with it, but now people seem to be killing from a significant distance away with it, and by hip firing as well. And now that I'm going for Gunslinger medals (for Weapons Expert) it seems like everything wins out against my double modded uzi (or whatever the full auto pistol is). Still managing one or two per match though.
The Micro is amazing for its rate of fire, and despite its "Blindfire Accuracy" being so terrible on paper, it really is quite good for blindfirin'. Probably the only reliable non-power weapon to use in close quarters.
Para-9 is a bit more accurate, and I guess it was buffed after a while to not have such horrible damage, but I have my G-MAL for situations which require accuracy. The Micro is for when I need to Spray and Pray.
