| If there are going to be legendary guns, why not an entire dlc dedicated to the story of what it is that makes them legendary. I'm not sure exactly how to set that up, but if there are 100 legendaries, why not a whole "indiana jones" grouping of shorts about where they came from, why they're legendary, if they're cursed, the setting of their red text, meeting/interacting with/defeating their maker/owner. It'd give reason to go back to areas like the Jacob's cove dlc, the knoxx dlc, hyperion dlc, add other manufacturers, etc. Not even necessarily with the ending of receiving the item in question, but perhaps using it as part of a quest, seeing it briefly, etc. If it's a game about loot, why not tie it to pieces of loot we're all questing after anyway, no? |

| Well, they kind of did that in the Scarlet DLC. All the X Marks the Spot quests lead you to a treasure hidden by Captain Blade, most of which had red text that went along with what was in the audio recordings that accompanied them, IIRC. Even something more in that vein would be good. |

| Agreed, yes. That was a very one directional fetch quest dig here get gun thingy. If you have a gun that's called "legendary", there certainly could easily be a legend, I think. So yes, per the dlc, but with a real story. With tits and bacon and beer too. |

davedave got one last night, and hoovered it up before I could take a good look at it. Then I forgot to have him show it to me again before we were done.
Has anyone else taken the relic you get from scooter's sister, and just raced the 3rd race in the crater race over and over to pile up torgue credits yet? I know the route for the race, and it's not too difficult to do it without the relic, but with the relic, it'd be cake. By my math, you could score an orange gun just about every hour that way. [/way over thinking this] its called the breath of terra. its one of those things that looks cool, but isn't really that great. it shoots flames out of the ground I have found its highest, best use. And by I, I mean davedave did. It's a farming tool for round 3 of the bar room beatdown. Open the doors, lob 3 or 4 in (done by an Axton build, wearing a hide of terra, and other fire assisting relics) and *poof* screaming, and all opponents are reduced to ash. *assassin runs through room, offing anything that is left, which is at low health, and therefore dies quickly under my +1bazillion melee damage multiplier* Repeat Repeat Repeat. Didn't fail once in 20 some-odd tries. It's anywhere between "Dayum, they all dead already?" to "meh, that took a little longer that time". Much easier than running that damn race over and over and over....

| Double post b/c meh, I roll like that. So we're at the slots at moxxis'. I have 999 credits, and davedave is just short of the 613 he needs. I'm like "I gotcha, dude" Spin the Torgue machine on the right, and the machine on the left, one after the other. Jackpot on the right. Jackpot on the left. Ninjas. We're just better. |

The ones in the main game give you a random legendary, yeah. There are a couple in the second DLC that will give out Torgue Tokens (which can be used to by legendary Torgue weapons, normal Torgue weapons, and custom skins/head at the Torgue vendor) instead of Eridium. I've never hit a jackpot either, so I have to think that the odds on those specific machines are stacked a bit more in our favor. |

| Never got a Jackpot either but I hear tell of a story about a man who did. While out traveling one day with The Man With Two Names, the one called Rx came forth into Moxxxi's establishment where upon he layed the magic hands upon the machine and low and behold, the symbols appeared. He then honked Moxxxi and left into the sunset. |

Well, this does happen from time to time, it's true. But there's another, far more stupid explanation as well. See davedave is bright, and really good at a lot of things. Games...not one of them. He is pretty singularly interested in moving from one huge fight to another, the loot, and gambling at moxxi's, in that order. But he's not really good at the "game" part of the game, at moving the story forward. And he pretty much only games up with me. So in his game, he's done virtually none of the quests, so they're all at very low level for him. So there's no challenge, and no good loot. So sometimes, I'll just invite him into my game so he can play the slots. And THEN I forget I've left my game on, after he's quit out. So...not like anyone asked,...but that's why sometimes you'll drop into a game of mine that I'm not actually in either. Also, when I said jackpots, I mean the 100 credit jackpots on the torgue machines. I've never hit 3 vault symbols (davedave did once, punk). I get 3 Marcusessessessszsxzsss from time to time. But never a weapon jackpot. Only credit jackpots. |

Ok, I'll just agree with Liam. It's safer that way. |

| So I finished the main story of the Mr. Tourgue DLC and... the vault didn't open. I can see it under the arena behind what looks like a sliding door in the floor but all I got was a couple torgue tokens and a crappy Moxxi weapon. |

| You don't actually get to go in or anything. It just tosses some loot into the air from under the grate. Not even as much as Terra drops, let alone what's in Scarlett's DLC gun stash. It was very disappointing. |

| Hmm, oh well. Did I mention I'm level 50 now (Gunzerker)? If anyone wants to party up and have a go at some bosses, play through the Pirate DLC or do the side missions from Torgue's DLC I'm down. I also have about 95% of the side missions from the main game to do but you TVHM peeps probably have those done already.
EDIT: ^That sounds kind of self centered. I'm also down with helping anyone if they need it. Message me if you can't decipher my PSN (understandable) and I'll add you. |

As did I. So my surprise was...substantial. Naturally, I went right away to try to solo Hyperius, with my new found mod. I fared pretty well, actually, took off 1/3 of his health before he got me. I mean...I MELEE solo'd him. Not a shot fired. Law and Order technique. Pretty good? - Bacon wrote:

I r teh happy. Yeah, they have an obscenely low chance to spawn in chests, or as an Item of the Day in the medicine machines. Been hoping for the Siren one for a long time. Good find. |

| Anyone have any use for a pretty rediculous eridian bazooka (lvl 41)? I think some gunzerker or axton would have a blast with it (pun intended) for a little while, at least. I have a lvl 27 gunzerker I was going to secret stash it to, and wait a while, but if anyone can make use of it, I'm happy to donate it to a good home.
