It is supposed it was a billboard that was going to appear on a film that is being filmed. So that was the only billboard around with that, but films are usually released around a year after they are filmed... mmmm


In Neogaf they have said that the movie being filmed is called "Battle: Los Angeles" and it is expected to be released in early 2011. So that would mean any R3 advertisement and marketing hipe will be around those dates... mmm... Resistance 3 for March 2011, for example??

I remember there being all sorts of posts about this on MyRes when the billboard was first seen. The guestimates do put the games release out close enough to the time their every other year cycle has gone.

Both naughty dog and insomniac are very good with their release cycles. I like it. I'm damn excited for whenever they confirm it.

Well, whenever this game is going to come out, I'm excited for it. I hope that they announce it at E3 or some other gaming event coming up soon. I'll probably pre-order it (amazing because I've never preordered a game before )

With the announcement of Resistance 3, Sony forums across the internet have erupted into mad speculation on what will be in the game. Will Nathan Hale return, who are the people on the train, who are the new Chimera. This thread will be updated as new information arises for the game.

Nobody brought up the idea of maybe the main character in the trailer being Capelli. While the nose and the scars match up, I don't think it's him because he's not built enough. Capelli was large and muscular in the game, and in the P.A. videos, this guy has a smaller build.

Agreed. I highly doubt that anyone in the trailer was Capelli. You are right about the build. The two just do not match.

I just realized that each person in the train is using a militarized weapon.

Black Guy - M2A5 Carbine
Long Hair Girl - Bullseye
Short hair Girl - Magnum (Looks like the SRPA one)
Hat Guy - Rossmore

no, I said James Grayson. Someone else said Capelli, but it cant be capelli, since he doesnt have black hair

I just hope they incorporate Greyson in there somehow. They have to. Retribution, while on the PSP only, was a very good chapter in the Resistance time/storyline. He is a well liked character as well almost as much as Hale if not equally. So hopefully he shows up along with Capelli and of course, the man hisself

Pretty damn excited to see where the story will go from here!

I think grayson fits for several. reasons.

his look is very similar. (I posted a comparison in the other topic) he would be the type of person to carry chimera teeth around his neck, and they seem to be going with a more survival approach based on the trailer, if that is how they are going more for the actual game it would make sense to use someone like grayson who is used to fighting the chimera, but isn't an infected like hale.

as for where he is/was at. when did the 1st one take place? 2 months before the 1st game right? how much time is that between the end of retribution, and the end of 2. (assuming 3 takes place after 2, then thats even more time) but that it plenty of time for him to get to america, and there are plenty of plot reasons insomniac could use to get grayson there

Maybe Im just seeing it with eyes of hope but I kind of thought that was Hale who jumped onto the train?
He's definitely wearing a Military uniform but it looked more like his duds from FoM.

Any speculation that this takes place somewhere BEFORE FoM?
