I personally dont see the big deal.

To me, it will be just like KZ, which is a game I play and enjoy immensely.
It doesnt have them either, and the game experience imo is solid with out it.

I'll miss unranked servers, but a lack of them likely won't have an impact on me buying or enjoying the game.

Ive got a new theory on the Chimera....

First off, what if the towers aren't really Chimeran in origin? The Chimera are all about power, but from what we have seen the towers merely teleport objects. That leads me to this, why would the Chimera teleport their own planet far away? What if the third race built the towers, and used it to save the planet from destruction (as seen by the fractured planets in the background at the end of R2). The Chimera, not knowing where their lost planet was, would have spent millions of years trying to relocate it. When they found it, they sent the virus back to Earth. The Chimera want to unearth the towers because they know what their purpose is. Perhaps the reason the Chimera die when a tower explodes is not because of the loss of the Angels, but because they have a drive deeply rooted into them that requires them to protect the towers. After all, killing an Angel in FoM didnt seem to have too much of an effect on the surrounding Chimera.

Daedalus activated the towers in R2, accomplishing this goal. What happens from there, I do not know.

i thought it was explained in one of the games that the towers werent chimeran?
