GG's to all last night. Sorry we couldn't get the Riot-shield match going, 'Mega, there was a lot of fuzziness over the mics and I don't think everyone could hear that well. Post up next time you'll be on and we'll get something organised.
We kicked some ass and had some fun though, didn't we?
That we did. I'll probably be on tonight and most of the week, so our riot shield match should be a riot. :o
Whats really fun is using a riot shield to look down a harrier. It'll piss off the other guy to no end, and really helps as a support role. Same trick works on Wasteland when you're locking down the cave.
On the downside, MW2 has gotten a lot more cheatty since I last played. Stupid noobtubes and lagging...

Don't forget they have Danger Close too half the time. In my experience, cover counts for jack when that happens. Idk, maybe I just need to look better, but that's what it seems like to me. I am getting very tired of grenades too.

Yeah, this really seems much different than it was before online. In the time I first started playing online, which was about mid December you hardly saw anyone running around with noob tubes & danger close on all the time, but now you see it like crazy cuz everybody and their brother knows about how to get cheap kills in this game now.

I really want to see The Gulag and the Oil Rig come back as multiplayer maps in the DLC. I'm pretty sure that The Gulag would turn into a noob tube fest though due to the close proximity and the fact that it's indoors.

if your getting noobtubed your to predictable try flanking or finding different ways around the map

The problem with that strategy is that it assumes that there is a degree of order in the games. This is not true. There is no invisible line that both sides work to push, and both sides don't stay on their side of that line. Groups are jumbled all over the map, and they go where they will; the spawn system helps make sure of this. Because of this, players will often turn the corner and come face to face with an enemy, and the one who walks away is hopefully the one who is able to get his gun up and accurately aim his gun at the enemy. A huge part of skill in this game is twitch reflexes. Noobtubing negates this. Instead of having to get your gun up or risk inaccuracy, they just run around with the tube cocked. Instead of needing pinpoint accuracy, they just need to be facing the right general direction. Danger Close and closed environments compound this. Having limited ways to get from one part of the map to another don't help either.
Noobtubes are cancerous.

sorry omega but your wrong completely wrong if you have played the game long enough you should know were the spawns are on the map and be able to predict were their going to spawn and how much time you have before they get back to you. At least i do then i just find the best way to out think his path to me and find the best way to flank his position.
the best way to keep killing someone on this game is to be unpredictable to them outsmart them make them doubt themselves use ninja sure they can't hear which way your coming from use flash's for misdirection always use stopping power and depending on what game mode/ gun you use marathon or slite of hand

I think Omega has a point. Noob tubers can be unpredictable too. I mean, sure you can count on them to twitch and fire a nade, but they'll roam the map, or sometimes just spawn behind you. And yeah, you can usually get them back by figuring out where they're headed, but the point is that you have to get them back. If they see you first then you're dead with them using the bare minimum amount of skill (as he said, aiming in your general direction). Especially frustrating when combined with camping. And I will agree that there are almost always alternate routes to get where you want to go, but you shouldn't have to discount one because no skill tuber is over there.
