OK guys.
I want to try to get ALL discussions involving the PSN downtime in this topic. I'm starting to see a lot of different threads switching tracks to this topic, so we may as well just create one.

To restart and add to it, I found this.

Now what gets me about reading this is that I am suddenly filled with this feeling like I am watching the World Wide News.

This is freaking video games for crying out loud. Now I know there isnt much one can use in argument when dealing with a free service like the PSN offers. Its one of the main things that drew me to the console.
But really?
Does Sony need a Department of Homeland Defense? Perhaps they can start packing a color coded warning chart with their consoles so we know when to go stock up on saran wrap for our windows and hit the local rental for a story worth playing since the main focus goes into online gaming now.
But perhaps there is truth to the last few lines. Maybe Sony is capable of being so advantageous.
Which ever it is, dear Sony, get it corrected. Because a free online isnt much when tainted with the worries of down time for days.
Either stop, or hire some damn hackers.
At the very least, be kind enough to give us some bull shit with a smile. Even if the down time is schedualed, you can at least let us know this. You have been given a lot of my money, and I refuse to believe a name such as yours doesn't have the people with the capabilities.
Sorry Mr Butler. It seems it doesnt do everything. If it did, i wouldnt be here typing this. I'd be online atm shooting something.

What games have you guys been playing while the Network has been down? Personally, Ive been shooting things on my favorite "rainy day" game, TimeShift.

i have been to depressed to pick up the controller

no no i have been playing AC brotherhood

ive been hitting up some armored core 4 answers

but ive been itching for some online ops or kz

I've been playing some more on Oblivion. Doing some unfinished quests with my mighty War Mage, Bolt Vanderhuge.

Okay, I'm mostly just jumping from roof to roof with my crazy Athletics score while whispering "I am Batman." over and over, with occasional "Nanananananas" thrown in.

As for me....I tried some kz3 botzone to pretend I was online.
I even got all pissed off at the Marksmen.


So it almost worked. But was just too easy and boring with AI.

Been restarting playthroughs on Castlevania so I can try out the DLC, Resistance 2 and Final Fantasy XIII.

I've always said that online is cherry on top for me. I buy games for their single player campaign and judge it based on that. So....yeah.

Im with you Raist. Single player is, and will always be, my dominant method of playing games. This downtime is just letting me replay games with great campaigns again.

But what really burns me is I finally get a long weekend that I can play and I CAN"T

Oh well some yard work getting done anyway . Been thinking of doin some SP but I never touched the SP on most games out of the box . I prefer to kill people who can think .

Before online play...I beat Resistance: Fall of Man 17 times.

I dont think Ill do that this weekend though. I just don't have it in me to destroy Fall of Man again. Now Resistance 2, however...

im playing Black ops Local Game.
its just like CT but you can have up to 4 people on the same screen against bots
its fun fun for everyone.
