| Nintendo DS is is WEP key enabled only, DSi can use both WEP & WPA. I wouldn't reccomend changing the security settings if your not sure what to do. WEP isn't all that secure to be honest... Hotspots will do the trick for you. |

| Have you registered you friend (Whatever the Bullet Bill F BOMB that means) or are you sure that the codes are correct (you have to use codes to trade apparantly.) So a bit more looking I turned up with this - Quote :
- How do I trade with a friend online?
Important Note: You cannot Trade with a registered friend until you have obtained the Pal Pad at the Oreburgh City Wi-Fi Club and swapped friend codes with the friend you wish to trade with.
How to Connect:
1. Enter a Pokémon Center and go down the stairs to the Pokémon Wi-Fi Club. Talk to either of the women at the center counter and choose "Yes" when asked if you would like to use the Nintendo WFC.
2. Choose "Yes" twice to save your game to go to the Wi-Fi Connection screen. Choose "Yes" to connect to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
Note: If you are connecting for the first time, you will need to access the Connection Setup Utility to set up a connection file. Once connected, read the Wi-Fi Connection warning and select "Yes" to connect.
3. Once you are connected, you'll see the Connected Friends screen. The icon next to each friend's name indicates what they're currently doing (Recruiting Battle, Recruiting Trade, Battling, Trading, In Voice Chat, Standing By, or Voice Chat OFF). From this screen, you can either "Apply" to join a friend who is inviting to battle or trade, or you can "Invite" a friend to join you in a battle or trade. You can also initiate Voice Chat or check Records from this screen.
How to Apply to Join a Trade:
1. Use the Control Pad to highlight the friend you wish to apply to trade with, and press A. (When a friend is inviting a battle or trade, "Apply" is displayed when you have them highlighted and press A, instead of "Voice Chat.")
2. Highlight "Apply" and press A to confirm that you would like to trade with that friend.
How to Invite Friends to Trade:
1. If you are inviting friends to trade, choose "Invite" and press A. Choose "Trade" and press A again.
2. You can see your list of friends even if you are inviting. Press A if you would like to suspend your invitation.
Note: You can only select "Records" or "Cancel" for friends who are currently battling or trading.
- Quote :
- How do I trade with players not registered as friends? (Global Trade Station)
About trading: Trading is done in the Global Trade Station (GTS), which is located in Jubilife City, on the far west side. You must get the Gym Badge in Oreburgh City before The GTS will open. You do not need to have the Pal Pad, or any registered friends, to access the GTS.
How to Access the GTS:
1. Speak to the receptionist at the GTS counter. Select "Trade", then select "Yes" twice to save your game and enter the GTS.
2. Select "Yes" to connect to the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection. Select "Deposit Pokémon" to place a Pokémon in the GTS, "Seek Pokémon" to search the GTS for a specific Pokémon, or "Exit" to leave the GTS.
How to Deposit a Pokmon:
1. While in the GTS, select "Deposit Pokmon" to deposit the Pokmon you would like to offer for trade. The Pokmon will be traded if there is someone who accepts your conditions. Choose this option to start the GTS trading process.
2. Choose a Pokémon you would like to offer for trade from your party or a box. Use the Control Pad to move the cursor. Press Left or Right on the Control Pad to scroll through boxes.
3. Select a Pokémon you would like to receive for the Pokémon you have deposited. Enter in the criteria you want for the Pokémon you would like: gender, level, and what kind of Pokémon. Once deposited, you are done for now. When someone accepts your conditions, you will know your Pokémon was traded next time you connect to the GTS.
How to Seek a Pokémon:
1. While in the GTS, select "Seek Pokémon", then enter in the conditions of your search: Pokémon name, gender, and level. Normally only three Pokémon are found per search regardless of how many Pokémon are registered by people; however, the number of Pokémon you can look for increases a couple of days after a successful trade, and also after you offer a Pokémon for a trade.
2. After you enter your search criteria, select "Search" to find a Pokémon that matches your conditions. If no Pokémon meet your conditions, "None were found" will be shown. If you find a Pokémon, touch the Trainer (on the Touch Screen) to check their conditions for trading Pokémon, which is displayed on the Top Screen.
3. If you have Pokmon that can meet the condition, you can trade them. If you do not want to trade, press the B Button to cancel the trade.
Important Notes about trading: o Pokémon successfully traded through the GTS will not return. o Only one Pokémon can be deposited at a time. Take back Pokémon if you would like to offer a different Pokémon for a trade. o Only Pokémon that isalready recorded in your Pokédex can be entered as conditions for a GTS trade. o It is OK to turn the DS system off once you finish depositing a Pokémon. Trades can occur even when you're offline. o There is a chance a Pokémon might disappear if you don't connect to the GTS for a long time. Be sure to check your deposited Pokémon's status once in a while. o "Summary" is displayed in the menu when a trade has not been made for your deposited Pokémon. Choose "Take Back" if you want to bring back the Pokémon. o Pokémon you deposit for trade can be holding items, such as Mail or Berries. I haven't a clue what all that is about. I'm assuming your doing all that. |

| I can't connect to begin with. The friend codes do no good if I can't use the Nintendo Wi-Fi to begin with. Pretty sure I'm just going to have to find an unsecured network. |

Unfortunately, the signal vanished after that. I'll add your FC to Pearl in a little bit. My Deoxys has gotten to Lv 91 now. I checked his forms and oddly enough his Normal gives him the best stats. Current stats: 222 HP 326 Attack 118 Defense 284 Special Attack 135 Special Defense 338 Speed |

| What EV spread are you using, Ratchet? Anyway, I'm not entirely sure if this is the place to post this, but we should organize some Shoddy battles. Talked to Ame and he says he's up for it. Since it's easily downloaded and installed/run, and completely free, I was wondering if any other Pokefans would be interested. http://shoddybattle.com/There's also Pokemon Online, but Shoddy is a little more basic and easier. |

| To be honest Turtle, I don't really pay attention to EVs. However, the Pokerus virus that I found a while back on Pearl doubles all EV bonuses I may get, so I enjoy nice boosts in stats every time I level up an infected Pokemon. Leveled up Deoxys to Lv 100 about an hour ago. This means my team of 6 is officially maxed out in level. I'll post the stats of him some time tomorrow. Right now I'm trying to get my Ditto to Lv 100 too. (He's Lv 96 right now. Im probably going to trade him to Silver soon so I can train him there.) |

| It's been a long while, since I did anything with pokemon, but like Turtle said, I'm down for some Shoddy action. It'll take me a bit to get back into the swing of things, but my laptop is going to be my sole source of entertainment for a while, so I'm down with gaming some with you guys there, if we can get a few regulars into it.
Ratchet, is it that the Normal Deoxys is giving you the best stats period, or the best spread? Obviously the forms are catered to specific things, and I don't recall quite how the form-switching worked with how it recalibrated stats. Did you re-box and remove it, to check?
It should re-apply all the match to the updated bases, when it's removed from the box again. If it's still the best as Normal, you have a very strange Deo.
E- ....since I assuming we're using Smogon's severs, and what not, I thought I'd let you all know that they've voted Salmence into the Ubers tier. Why, I will never understand. He's no Garchomp, and unlike Lati@s, I dont' see anything that made him overpowered. He might've been dominant as a Dragon-type, but there has always been one. He's been a well-balanced, and premier sweeper since he was released, and now he will see play no longer.

| - Spoiler:
Yeah, I haven't been worrying about EVs or anything either. I just throw the ball at anything that moves. Carried me well enough through the story so far. But I have looked around and seen crazy combinations out there. Highly customized teams designed to work as a unit. It's impressive, I gotta say. And while I'm not into this enough to juggle stat values, I wouldn't mind getting some of your opinions on move sets. I know False Swipe is optimum for catching, but who should I put it on? Is there a critter I should get specifically for it? What other moves compliment it that that one can learn? I used to use a Ghastly in Gold (the last one I played) with a sleep move (I can't remember the names ) and a very weak attack that I could use to slowly whittle down anything, even though I got it to a high level. I'd like to find something more efficient. So, let's start with catching then. What's your best setup everyone? |

| Ditto is Lv 100 now. Since he was in the Day Care, he wasn't really get many stats boosts. He probably gained 30-40 points in each stat while I leveled him up those last 5 levels. He even got +10 Attack once...
Ditto's Final Stats: (Not great, but it's my breeding Ditto) HP: 230 Attack: 138 Defense: 141 Special Attack: 136 Special Defense: 130 Speed: 122
As for my Deoxys, here are the stats for all four of his forms:
NORMAL: HP: 243 Attack: 358 Defense: 130 Special Attack: 312 Special Defense: 148 Speed: 372
ATTACK: HP: 243 Attack: 418 Defense: 70 Special Attack: 366 Special Defense: 88 Speed: 372
SPEED: HP: 243 Attack: 248 Defense: 210 Special Attack: 213 Special Defense: 438 Speed: 438
DEFENSE: HP: 243 Attack: 198 Defense: 350 Special Attack: 168 Special Defense: 240 Speed: 240
As you can see, I have a VERY fast Deoxy. Which stats group looks the best though? Normal/Attack would be great for rapid attack and retreat tactics. Speed seems to be the most balanced in terms of stats. Defense doesn't look appealing to me at all. |

| Your Deoxys-S could be one heck of a Special Wall. Or maybe not, if it's against other Ubers. But I don't know who or what you play against. Unless you're planning on going competitive, I would say go with Normal or Attack Deoxys. NPCs only require that you hit them fast and hard. |

| Well, I don't really plan on going Competitive. I'm currently focuses on completing the Pokedex on Pearl version. I'm at 437/493, so obviously I'm getting close.
I'll probably keep Normal Deoxys for now, but I'll definitely give his Attack form a test run soon. His moveset is currently: Psycho Boost, Shadow Ball, Zap Cannon, and ExtremeSpeed. Should I teach him U-Turn? I could give a quick blast of Psycho Boost, then fall back with U-Turn. I'd prefer to keep ExtremeSpeed and Shadow Ball. |

| Unless you're going to set up Rain Dance, Zap Cannon is a waste of time. I say go for it if you really want U-Turn.
Also, let me know if I can help with the Pokedex thing, as I have one of every 'mon sitting in my PC in Platinum. FC is 5198 8289 0189. |

I'll keep looking for another move instead of Zap Cannon... How did you get them all? Arceus and Darkrai are pretty hard to get...Would you mind loaning me Manaphy for an hour or so? I need to breed him... Also, I started raising my next Pokemon. My Golem is currently Lv 63. |
