First off, got my Tastes Like Chicken today. So I definitely love this lab and its easy BBQ opportunities.

Second, regarding power weapons: I'm a pragmatist. If I see a shotgun or Hammer, I'll pick it up without hesitation. I'll even go for it at the start of the match, depending on the weapon and the map it's on. But it's stupid to rely completely on one weapon. It's about being able to win against anyone with any weapon in any situation (I know, easier said than done - and I'm hardly the most perfect practitioner of this philosophy). It just follows logically that most situations will find you equipped with the default weapons, so you shouldn't ignore them.

What I really don't understand about Launch/Rocket Man is that some people use Launch Man on maps where there is no Hammer and some people use Rocket Man where there is no RPG, little illogical to me, kind of wasting a booster

I played all the way till lvl 49 hardly using shotties, rpgs or hammers. I never actively looked for these weapons and even if i came across them by chance i hardly picked them up. I had never used SA either. But one day i realized its out there, its not gonna stop other ppl from using them So why shudn't I? I am an avg player and i could use any little thing there is to help me win as long as its not cheating its fine.

I think that everyone can relate to this when I say this. There are only about maybe 2-3 maps where I don't go for a power weapon right off of the bat. That would be the Village and the Flooded ruins, and maybe a few others, I can't think of all of the maps right now. But I know that a good example is that on the flooded ruins I grab a FAL and wait for someone to go for the hammer. Once I get the kill, I grab the hammer. In the village, I go and grab the deagle and throw a gernade in the hammer spawn.Nobody can look at their stats for ANY weapon and say, " I told them I was hard core, I only have 5 shotgun kills!" Everybody has AT LEAST my guess would be near 100 kills with each weapon. Nobody can deny that they WILL pick up an RPG from time to time. I also bet even the people who despise SA can admit that they haven't taken it for a test drive at least one time. Vash had made great points, that I follow 100% and have opened my eyes.

Yup, unless that person feels like saying complete bs they will admit to using any power weapon at least 50 times, depending on their lvl of course, I myself have a certain strategy on many maps that revolves around going to the spot of a power weapon because I know there is going to be action there but I won't pick it up unless it is pistole (most of the time that is), there was a phase of like 3 days where I did pick up the SAS-12 on The Highrise, not sure why I did that lol

i just looked up my stats at naughtydog.com and i have 184 kills with the rpg compared to 250 deaths from it and 266 kills with the hammer but 424 death from it....lol and i have 800 shotgun kills and 600 deaths(but alot of that is from the lab) but i have 7000 ak-47 kills and 2500 pistol kills out of 17,684 total kills. so its a pretty big diffrence

Yes, the shotgun lab is definitely going to skew my weapon preference stats. I mean (and Endlo and Vash, at least, know this), I definitely love me some shotgun, but even I don't usually use it this much.

Just got back into multiplayer now as I got the plat and my Marco and Khan skins.

Plunder at Village (Yes, I go for the treasure) 18-5

Deathmatch at Ice Caves (We lost, I was the only one going positive on our team ) 18-8

By all means not GREAT results, but I feel as if I'm getting my old style back.

Now I am REALLY looking forward to the workshops, Endlo & Vash!

i dont think i can ever get the plat for uncharted 2...remember when the playstation network was down i couldn't play multiplayer so i played single to get some trophies...well i got the however many kills it takes for the trophy to kill with the hammer and the sas but i didn't get the trophy...i think it glitched and ive tried multiple times to get it but to no avail so unfortunately the marco polo skin ill never get but at least i have Genghis Khan

Have you tried deleting the game data (not the save data) from your PS3 and reinstalling the game? You'd have to start over, I think, but the trophies would come through when you get the right number of kills.
Warning: Speculation and hearsay. Can't promise this'll work, but it's worth a try if you want your Plat.

thanks for the advice i might try that but trophies dont really mean that much to me..i mean the marco polo skin would be cool but i dont have the patience to find all the treasures anyway (even if i looked the locations up on the web)

You can copy your data to a flash drive before deleting and then you can put it back if it doesn't work.

If you turn it off I think you will lose it, I aimed the Pistole today and once twice I killed two people with one bullet, they were in a row but that was still pretty cool, at least to me it was lol

That was me until about lvl 30, I would always go negative but now I go positive on most maps, my brother actually got owned by a full squad of lvl 1s a couple of months ago lol

It really is funny when two skelzors line up and you get them both with one pistole bullet but can't get them with one sniper rifle bullet
