- That'd be awesome, Raist. As to how we ran it, we did a bunch of customs, and went through a lot of information.
Reo, for example, wanted to go through map opens, so we ran through them, and along the way, we'd discuss why I did things the way I did, and some general theory on player reactions. For Reo, it segued into me showing him a few spots of interest, player traffic through those spots, and the implications and limits of cornershooting.
Charlitos ran some Shield drills with us, we discussed some of the theory behind why and when we use a Shield, and some of it's limitations. We worked some on character positioning and how to use obstacles to provide unconventional cover, and how to press that advantage.
Charlitos, Reo and I also did some grenade drills, on rolling them over cover, and how to bounce a grenade off a ledge, and some of the advantages there.
Turtlekid had largely 1 on 1 time with Vash, I know he discussed some Badge theory, the mechanics of cornershooting, and some advice with strafing.
For a random and unplanned 'shop, I was pretty satisfied with the feedback I got. I think I'd like to cover some baseline mechanics/fundamentals, and have a mix with some outlined plans, and some player led ones. This is still new territory for me, but I'm definitely looking forward to seeing where this will go, and getting to work with you guys. I like the sound of how that went for sure. Methinks some plugs might be in order. Let me know when you start getting some concrete dates or how you'd like things to go and I'll do what I can to help out either in training or from a PR side. |

Agnus, good to see you on the forums. Sorry to hear you're still having issues. My connection issues have all been problems on my end, so I'm not sure if this could be similar. Have you tried powercycling your modem/router? Kinda basic, but it's a default step 1. If you've been having other connectivity issues, it might be a hardware issue, like I had.
If that doesn't work, you could try deleting the game data, you'd redownload the update, and have to redownload your DLC. Before trying that, have you looked around for other people having a similar problem? ND has a forum set up now, maybe someone there would have a better idea of what's going on?
I am not gonna lie...your first suggestion sounds really good, and may be basic, but I have no Idea how to do that! If you could explain it that would be awesome, if not I will try and find the manual or something. I did delete the game data and redownloaded everything and that seemed to help for a bit, but I did get booted later, and frankly was ready to call it a night anyway. I see if I still have problems tonight, and go from there. I have briefly checked around and notice I'm not alone with the problem. I know on some of the ND forums they suggested the same ideas as you. I'll keep working at it...thanks for the help |

I used to get kicked all the time, which is largely why I'm not more active on this game. Never got a black screen or anything though. No worries, you can call me whatever you like...doesn't mean I'll always answer, but in this case AD ok |

| To powercycle your router/modem, disconnect them from their powersources for a minute or so, then reconnect them. Everything should reconnect in a few minutes. It might help, it might not, it's hard to say. Worth a shot though.
Are you having connection problems with other games, PSN, or any other devices in the home that connect to the internet? If so, you might have a hardware problem, like a fried modem or router. If that's the case, for a modem, it should be as easy to replace as a call to your service provider, and them sending a tech to replace it.
Leo, we could totally do some BBQ stuff, that sounds like fun, actually. I have a few favorite spots that I could show you. |

| I also need to work on my BBQ's, my timing is just awful. Also, I have come to think of certain senarios that I find myself being clueless on how to react at, what to do. Are there any plans at having another workshop soon, and will it be announced on here or be spontaneous as the previous one? I was thinking, what if those who wish to participate contribute with ideas on what they want to work at, so you guys get a chance to prepare? On a side note, I just noticed a thing with the FAL that makes me win almost every corner-shooting stand-off. Not news to the more experienced in any way, but I had no idea about it |

| Quick tip, AD... As you read the topic, click on "Multi-quote" on any posts that you want to comment on, then when you reach the end and click 'reply' all the posts you quoted will be in the text field ready for you and it will save you having to double post. In other news... Guess who got an accidental BBQ this morning? I'd just come out of a roll at the top of the dark hallway on Temple and saw a guy pick up the propane tank there, started shooting and all hell broke loose. BBQ. It's like the game knows I'm after them and is taking pity, LoL. Let me know on that Psn message, Reo.. I'll try and get it done this weekend if you want. |

| The next couple should be planned, and I'd like to do some where you guys take the lead, and tell us some stuff you'd like to work on, and some where I have a more structured idea planned out. I'm gonna say the next one is gonna be next week, sometime, but really, if I catch someone on, and they'd like to go work on stuff, that works too. These don't need to be big group things.
I'm curious now, It's hard to say if I know/noticed what you did. I'm still learning about different parts of this game too, hell, I was shown a few cool things last workshop, and I'm still working on a few Trainwreck jumps. Mind sharing, Reo? |

| Well, when I started corner-shooting I would just aim WITHOUT scoping in, and although my aim reticle was out of cover which logically should mean it's clear to shoot, I would sometimes hit the cover/wall anyway. However, when scoped in (still aiming at the same spot as we did without scoping), we do no longer hit the wall/cover, allowing the FAL user to be more in cover while firing away, almost invisible. I know you alreay knew this since you sleep with the FAL under your pillow, but us mortals may not have known this. In regards to the workshop (again ) I would like to take the freedom and make a list of things I want help with; * How to manipulate enemies in certain scenarios, understanding what most people will do and how to counter that. * Which areas to avoid at certain maps and which routes that are to prefer - based on your playstyle. Would also like to know which playstyle/tactic that works better for each of the maps. * Basic & Advanced tactics on certain maps. (Kind of like previous point) |

| The magic of cornersniping. It also works with the Dragon, with the center of the reticle being the "true" path of your shots.
I feel like an idiot, Reo, sorry. Having noticed your style change as we played together, I'd assumed you already knew about the FAL's red dot sight messing with walls. My bad, I shouldn't have assumed.
Sounds like an awesome set of things you want to work on, Reo. I don't know when I'll be on today, visiting family, but the next workshop should be next week. Like I mentioned before, as well, if you're on, and would like to work on something, shoot me a message, and we can. These don't need to be big group things all the time. That goes for everybody. |

| I'm really looking forward to being at the next workshop .I wouldn't mind going over grenade rolling across the top of cover drills and to the sides of cover for one since I'm pretty terrible at it. .Just message me whoever is going to be the party leader for the custom games and i'll see you there PSN:s1lv3r4554551n |

Ugh, the cursed sniper...sometimes a perform miracles with it, other times....meh. Hopefully there are more things you assume I know which I don't, haha. Don't stress it though, buddy. We'll get to it when we get to it. It's weird how inconsistent I've beome; First game against a clan at Lost City, had DTI and FF on, went 10-15. Second game, Plaza, had Invalid & Half-Loaded, went 12-7. Third game, Village, Evasion & Half-Loaded, went 15-2 before I got dc'd.... Fourth game, against other guys, Evasion & FF on Temple, 5-9. I'm thinking about doing some heavy changes to my playstyles and mess around with it until I get some pro-tips First thing up - adjusting to aim sensitivity on max. Wish me luck! |

| No real idea what this lab and workshop thing is, mostly since I'm not online very often since my 1st disc broke, but it sounds pretty cool, 'cept the shotgun thing. But have any of you ever gotten on you're mic and just spam things from Youtube videos? If not you should, you get some pretty funny reactions |

But have any of you ever gotten on you're mic and just spam things from Youtube videos? If not you should, you get some pretty funny reactions You see, I usually just mute people who are doing that. I don't find it funny at all, and I'm usually playing with friends and I'd much rather hear them over some spam. Also, I'm not much for people who do that. It's disrespectful and... well, just not worth it in my opinion. |

| I'm with Charlie on this one. No one likes to hear stuff that distracts them from the game. The first thing I do in a game is mute everyone outside my group of friends that's making noise, be it a loud TV, playing music of any kind, family chatter in the background, etc. It's just annoying. That sort of thing is fine other times, but if you've got a headset on, you should be using it to communicate with your team members. My. |

| Agreed. Even if somebody walks in my room and starts having a conversation with me, 95% of the time I will mute my mic so I can talk without disturbing my teammates. Unfortunately, sometimes I forget to unmute it and I wonder why nobody in game is responding to me |

| If it's someone on my squad, they get muted. Other team, it's handing me an advantage via prox-chat. It's a pretty pointless and weak troll, that messes up your guys, and benefits your opposition.
Turtle, Friendly fire is pretty crucial to demonstrating any number of things, and being on the same voice channel as everyone you're with is vital. If someone cannot handle themselves in a mature fashion, they'll be warned, and then removed from the workshop as necessary. Reo, I've not forgotten about our next session, I'm still kind of mapping out a lesson plan for it. We'll figure out the best time, since we'll handle it as a 1 on 1. Is there any time you'd be able to use your mic? Not important, but it certainly couldn't hurt.
As far as the BBQ one, I'd like to get our own ESRaistlin, Iron Chef extraordinaire, in on it. I'll talk to him, and see if we can't get you guys a date and time. |

| Eh, everyone's allowed their own opinion. I will mute when my frined get on the mic, so nobody hears it, but when I talk, I usually say some funny stuff from Youtube. I only spam when its a bunch of other people there that are annoying others over the mic. I also spam when there's a lot of campers just to at least try to distract them while I go behind them and put a bulet into their head. But, at some times I will spam just for a good laugh |

Some friends from Texas are visiting this week, but I'll probably be on every now and then still. When it comes to using the mic, I can only use it during day time over here (sleeping family doesn't like Reo whining about lag & cheap kills ) But if that doesn't work, atleast I can have mine on and reply through textchat. I'm not sure, but I think you're like, 7 hours behind me? So we can either say that if you catch me online and feel like getting it done right away, Im up for it. Or you can say a time, and I'll do my best to make sure I'll be there. Sorry for being so difficult to deal with, haha Charlitos, if you do have a spare seat when getting close to the X and I'm on, please send an invitation. Would love to be there |

Charlitos is sitting at about the halfway mark, I think. Same though, Charlitos, if you've got a spot, I'd love to be there for your X birthday. |
