| The temple. Its just sooo easy to read. And if your on a roll in the temple, your on a roll. Then again the train wreck is quite good for that too. And it has no hammer |

| I can't stand maps that are asymmetrical and provide tons of hiding spots. Hence my hatred for The Highrise and Museum. Other maps that I can't stand are Ice C....oh, the maps I actually ENJOY? Since I "grew up" on the Fort, it's up there, especially now that I "mastered" the grenades on that map, haha. The Temple is another one of my favorite, one problem on it is that it's VERY easy to spawn trap one team. Other than that, I love it. Only wish it had a sniper Train Wreck is also a great map, sadly enough it isn't that popular with remaining pool of players, perhaps they can't stand maps which makes one rely on reading the game and that require one to know their 1v1's. No, let's go with maps that allows one to hide and wait for someone to come around the corner, only to allow the players to get a trade steel-fist kill. |

| ...are you implying that hiding behind a corner is bad, Reo?
Train Wreck has a place in my heart, as the first map I ever played on, but it never wins. It's depressing, because it really is a good map, it's just rarely voted for. |

| Train Wreck is the best map in my opinion. I always do well on it. I like the Ice Caves a lot also. Also, went 16-0 GAUing it up in the Village |

| Haha, if your main plan is to steel-fist, then yeah it's very bad. Everyone who is relying in tactics which more than likely will give your team NO benefit is in my opinion bad players.
Same thing with players who rely on the auto-features such as blindfire and melee. For instance, players with point & shoot + bandoleer/keep firing...good god.....
SA+Sure Foot + Shotty....fail.
When people are looking for the easiest solution to getting kills then I honestly can't see the fun in it.
I recently tried the same thing: camped the "boardwalk/shotty area" at Temple with SA and went 19-0.
I know I may take the game a bit too serious, but I can't give anyone kudos for anything if they have used any of the following;
- Silent skin - DTI/FF - SA - Launch/Rocket Man - Shotty - Steelfist
Sadly, this is approximately 95% of the player pool. |

| Reo, I love you, but I do all of those things too. I may have rocked Cole, which slightly offset the silent skins issue, because you know, he glowed bright blue or red, but still. He was silent.
Down the Irons and Fleet Foot have been argued to death, in here and out, but there's nothing wrong with them, at least in my eyes. I'm curious to hear how your stances have changed, on the boosters, and the issues in Uncharted multiplayer. It could be a pretty interesting discussion, and I'd love to hear everyone else's perspectives too.
Down the Irons is...a weird booster. It's impact has always been debatable, and it was even nerfed early on, for whatever reason. It's a pretty divided camp, but I don't see anything inherently wrong with the booster. It makes burst firing even more accurate, and it still lends a hand to people who want to spray their clip. It's in general, a huge boon to both of the assault rifles. There's nothing wrong with spraying your clip, in some situations it's even warranted and the best approach. There's a give and take with when to burst/spray, as we've been over before, in the thread, in workshops, and I think Raistlin might have addressed the issue as well, in one of his videos. It's all part of learning how to use the AK and the M4 effectively, and this is another aid to further their effectiveness.
I've argued Situational Awareness a dozen times over, and I know that I'm in the minority, of those who see no issue with the booster, and advocate using it. If someone is interested in hearing those thoughts again, I'll write up some massive wall of text about it, but most of you guys have been here a while, and have seen at least one, regarding my favorite sunglasses. That post is worthy of it's own, they're usually pretty long.
Launch Man and Rocket Man are probably the most hotly debated boosters, outside of Situational, but again, I really don't think they're that big a deal. There's all kinds of factors that go into successful power-weapon control, and if you're playing in a solid group, that should be a big priority for you. To tie into an argument I've made a dozen times in regards to Situational, if they want to give up any of the other possible options, in lieu of having that confidence that they can maintain that control, and use the weapon effectively, more power to them. - The entire metagame of opening plays, and really, the subsequent actions of the match, all tie into this. We're all well aware of the power of well....power weapons. If a player wants to forsake any other benefit, and his team can support the consistent acquisition and usage of those weapons, more power to them, the booster directly relates to their ability to gain extra mileage out of that element of map control and information awareness.
The Shotgun ties into the above points. It's a power-weapon, like any other in the game, and if you can gain control of it, and use it effectively, it stands that you'll do fine with it. The thing is, you going 19-0 ties just as much into the power of the shotgun, as it does the inability of your opposition to recognize what you were doing, and change their gameplans accordingly.
It's not hard to deal with a camper, and I've written huge posts about that as well, from a camping perspective. It's no secret that I camp, and that I used Situational and cornershot, as the foundation for my entire playstyle, and perspective on the game. The burden lies on the other players, to then remove you from your situation of advantage or to stop playing into situations where you do have the upper-hand.
The steelfist is...just as much a part of the game at this point, as anything else. Naughty Dog might have been unaware of the imbalance they were creating, when this became much more effective, in the damage nerfs, but you need to update to the terrain of the game you play within. It's an effective tool, at this point, in any player's arsenal, and I've used it many times, when the FAL became inappropriate for the situation at hand, for the one I was putting myself into. It again ties into being aware of your surroundings, and minimizing your own risk and exposure, to plays like this, where you're unfavored. |

| I apologize for only addressing a certain number of your points, been awake for the last 36 hours.... Anyway, here goes; Silent skin - I think that it's bad to remove one dimension from the game. When not being able to see your enemy, listening should play a vital part in terms of strategy. Shotgun - The weapon is ONE shot kill if close enough, but the auto aim simply makes it ridiculous. I think that a mp should reward the players who have skill. Yes, I do believe that the shotty should be powerful enough to kill in one blast, but c'mon....let people AIM to get their kills. DTI - The FAL is pretty much useless once you learn how to burst with AK47/DTI combo. Removing DTI would make much more sense: AK47 - Close/Mid range & FAL - Long range. SA - Once again, removing the "skill" factor from the game. Why not throw in a weapon that can shoot through walls aswell, sorta like a railgun. Remove SA and silent skin and people would actually have to use their OWN awareness Steelfist - Granted, if I melee someone first, I should get the kill. But since we're playing Uncharted 2, the game allows the guy on the receiving end to rise from their grave and grab me with them with the "Ghost Punch". And one punch doing more damage than one grenade from the M-32? Really? Camping is no problem to me as long as I don't come up against boosters which removes any chance of sneaking up on them, or them having a weapon that basically kills for them. Rant over, tired Reo going to the gym |

| I find it quite humerus that we are potentially in the last couple of weeks of this thread, depending on how the next game goes, and we're still discussing old material. All of this has been said before. Not that I'm bagging on it, like I said, i chuckled slightly at the thought. I swear u3 could not come out sooner |

| Well , I slightly disagree on the silent skins as I think the only silent skins available should be the ones you earn e.g marco , genghis and skelzor . We earn them ,we have a right to use our rewards for our time put into the game ............. |

| Train Wreck is one of my fav maps, never do well on it but still love it, maybe its because I got my first Rampant there in a guy of plunder back in 1.04, when I was actually fairly consistent with the FAL, or maybe its because I love the original maps, but idk, the snow gets annoying sometimes lol |

| Just played 2 consecutive games at the Village and started both with a J-nade Is anyone interested in doing some workshops tonight? I was thinking that we could do whatever: work on 1v1, grenades, evasion, sniping...to put it short, I am lonely, haha. In all seriousness though, with U3 coming on soon, some of you may want to pick this franchise back up and it would simply be awesome to revive some of my greatest video game memories with you guys. |

| I would be up for it but right now my school's Theatre Company is involved in Spring Fest and I have yet to miss one production so far this year, I'm in stagecraft, we are the techies of the Company, so I might not be available tonight and I definitely won't be around tomorrow AT ALL, have be at school until 10pm tomorrow since the play that I am teching is tomorrow, maybe over the weekend or finals week but idk, just hoping that I can get in some more games with you guys before U3 comes out, if not then when U3 comes out
As for Endlo's questions about our perspectives:
SA-its a pretty good booster, used for a few days, but I never really took advantage of it, only used it once I heard someone/bullets/saw bullets, easily countered by Evasion and using it doesn't affect my playstyle much
Silent Skins-I'm fine with them, doesn't really bother me when people use them, just need to be more prepared when I am facing a team full of silent skin users, which tends to be very often now
Steelfist-don't mind it really, people who rely mostly on this usually give me free kills
Camping-don't mind it, just go after the camper's in many different ways, usually their blind spots, and it usually works out well, The Highrise is like the only exception, when the camper uses their camera to notice me sneaking up on them
Launch Man/Rocket Man-can barely stand these boosters, particularly when SA is used alongside them, but they usually get me free extra rockets to work with so I can stand them when I get a kill on someone using them just after they picked up the weapon
Shotgun-really only an issue if the person is using Sure Foot, other than that just plopping a grenade on the ground or cross-map shooting them usually does the trick
DtI-Don't mind DtI as much as I used to, not really important to me anymore since I have been able to get at least a trade in most of my 1v1s with DtI users |

| I'm scared to ask. What is a J-Nade?
And I won't be returning to Uncharted, Reo. I won't be picking up Uncharted 3, and unless 2 has a cult following later down the road, and some serious new patches, I won't be playing this anymore either. I achieved what I set out to, and had some great times with you guys, that's good enough for me. |

A J-Nade is when you close your eyes and use your feet to press the button to throw the grenade A start of the game grenade, or just a long grenade in general across the map. And what if the beta is like the coolest thing evar? Still no chance? |
