Dude I go from 20 - 4 to 4 - 17. Think that was last night. Then I go from 4 - 12 to 16 - 3. This game is like playing bingo half the time. |

| Well , I have a few classes , most have scavenger/ghost , sleight of hand , and hacker for the perks . Weapon wise , my primary weapons are : Galil , AUG , Fammas , AK74u and MP5K . I really want to unlock the AK47 as I pick it up sometimes and do good with it . My grenades are usually frags , concussions and claymores .
I see you guy's points but I havn't had a good game in weeks so I'm putting some of it down to lack of skill in certain situations. |

Your attitude towars Black Ops seems to be setting you up for failure, if you're expecting to fail then most likely you will, like with all things in life, you need to have the right mental attitude as it's everything. I personally think that you are blaming the lag too much for any misfortune you might have you need to realise that the same is happening for people that you are killing.
I found that the more I played it the better that I got, but my trick was don't worry about your kd, I find that when I worry about it I get increasingly annoyed everytime I die and it just ends up in a downward spiral. But when I just play, don't worry about killing the last guy who got me, don't try to be rambo and don't stay in the same spot for too long I find that I have games which are much better and I have more fun. I know he's trying to improve, I can read Attitude towards Black Ops has very little to do with how well one does, if anything at all. Skill and lag however do. We should all know that lag affects every aspect of the game for every player using any style, so saying that you have fun when you don't think about lag and run around basically says you ignore it and you connection gets good. This is not possible. Also we aren't talking about K/D, this does not determine the outcome of future games. When I get angry or yell "Lag" during a game I am fully aware that it isn't really even lag that is causing the problem, the lag compensation software that treyarch (lol suggested switching treyarch for treachery) has made is so over the top that it gives an over proportionate advantage to the one who has a terrible connection. The reason this was not an issue in MW2 was because this software had phases of intensity not just "off" and "god mode, enjoy". |

I see you guy's points but I havn't had a good game in weeks so I'm putting some of it down to lack of skill in certain situations. Imo, Hacker is a must. Too many people use claymores not to have this bit of protection (though I suppose Flak Jacket would work as well, but it doesn't provide as much of a bonus in its Pro version). I had terrible trouble in any actual combat situation (ie, where you're actually exchanging fire instead of just shooting them in the back) until I switched to Hardened Pro. Keeps your aim steady even when taking hits. Let me tell you, it's very helpful not to have your sites jump all over the screen. Plus being able to kill through most surfaces is a huge help. Gives the enemy very little cover. You use almost all the same weapons that I do. Scavenger is probably a waste for you, or will be once you get into the swing of things. Those assault rifles already have fairly large amounts of ammo, so if you've made it to the point that you're running out, then you're probably doing pretty good. (I really do look forward to running out of ammo. ) However, if you find you're not doing that well, then you'll be respawning will full ammo frequently anyway. That slot's better used by something else. I prefer Lightweight myself. Greatly increased mobility works well with my strategy of getting to where the enemy wants to be, as well as getting me safely out of harms way when I get surprised (usually by someone with Ghost). Ghost is another one that's very popular. But I wouldn't bother with it unless you plan to put a silencer on your gun as well. Speaking of attachments, you'll probably want either Extended Mags or Dual Mags. If you're not going with Sleight of Hand, that is. Can't comment on the Sub Machine Guns. Don't like them. Claymores are a good choice, imo. They allow you to cover your back, or at least give you warning when someone's approaching because they'll destroy them to get to you. Just listen and pay attention to your radar and surroundings. I pick Semtex over Frags because I always know where they'll go when thrown. The advantage/disadvantage of frags is that they can be rebounded off walls. This can be useful, but also problematic if they bounce back at you. Stun or Flashbang is largely just a personal choice. Both have about the same degree of an effect on your enemy. I will share a little secret that I use sometimes when entering a room I expect to be occupied. Takes practice, but it's great if you can do it. Bounce your stun/flash off the door frame. What I mean is, let's say you're in the upper building with the stairs on WMD. You're standing on said stairs and believe someone's inside the room at the top. You can see where they're not, which is in front of you, so throwing a 'nade there would do no good as they'd be too far away from the blast. But if you enter the room enough to throw it to where they are hiding, then you risk getting killed or at least alerting them. So if you throw the 'nade at the door frame, it'll bounce off inside the room and in their direction. This is kind of a double surprise in a, "What?! How?" kind of way. That can be all you need to offset their superior positioning. Of course, this is something that works best with proper knowledge of the maps and common hiding spots. And learning the angle does take a bit of practice. Until you get it down, be prepared to blind yourself a lot. Of course, this is all stuff that works well with my particular play style (except the door fame thing). What works best for you may be entirely different. The only way to really know is to give everything a solid try until you find what works best. |

| Im a fan of nova gas myself.
I call it....Camp-Away
Almost no one uses the gas mask, and even though I dont get kills with them often, they are great for making the cockroaches scatter. Snipers, campers, defenders
Nothing a little Camp Away wont fix.

| Well , I apologize to Six and others who sent me invites today . I had friends over and simply couldn't find the time to game it up so really sorry about that . I do try make an effort to answer to all calls . Thnx for all that info monkey , did a bit better today using the AUG . I am working a bit on using spy planes and the radar to my advantage now and I am also fiddling with my sensitivity as I think 3 is too low because I am just not quick enough on the draw . I see that their is no point in scavenger for me yet , I will swap that one out and I may decide to try hardened . Semtax may nit be a bad idea either for me . One thing I hav'nt mentioned is my killstreaks which has always been spy plane , counter spy plane and napalm strike as I never get good killstreaks . |

| Happy to help. Sixer made a good point about nova gas grenades too. I never use them and hardly see them in game, but when I do they are annoying. The others can impair your enemies, but nova gas can actually force them to move. Seems like it'd be great for herding people. Force them to go where they don't want to so you can shoot them. May have to give them a try. I've overlooked them in the past because they're potentially lethal if you mess up and hit yourself. Napalm Strike is best suited for objective games like Domination where you can be certain enemies will be. In TDM, you pretty much have to get lucky to get kills with it. UAVs (spy planes) are more common than Counter-UAVs, so I switched over to using those as my low kill streak and let others put up UAVs. Both are quite useful to the team, so it's good to have them both up if possible. However, I wouldn't run both of them myself. In fact, don't just stick with the low ones. You have to aim high. You'll find that when you do, you'll start getting there. But don't focus on getting your killstreaks. Just stick to playing the game and putting yourself in a position to get kills/complete objectives. Killstreaks are a bonus, not a goal. As for recommendations, I'll suggest not getting ones that require an air drop (Care Package, Sentry Gun, SAM Turret). Keeps you anchored in one spot and you risk losing it to thieves on the other team (like me ) and having it used against your team. Plus, that's less time you'll spend killing the enemy. My personal setup is currently Counter-UAV, Blackbird, and Chopper Gunner (4,8, and 9 kills) I don't get the high ones every match, but when I do it's a great help to the team. The Blackbird alone is a little overpowered, tbh. Your whole team sees all the enemy's movements in real time, no delay as there is with a UAV. As I've seen mentioned before, once one of these is up, you tend to see other teamates get kill streaks soon after.
