I know the campaign is short, but I tend to like to play online games after they have most of the traffic calmed down, and I find campaign to be a good practise before I get online. Once I start to fly through it, I go online.

Called up gamestop, they told me they might get it Tuesday or Wednesday, depends on what time the developers and Sony decide it can be released (remember W@W? couldn't sell it till 5:00pm). Anyone know what day it'll actually be in stores? I did the in store pickup thinking it would be easier to grab, but then I started my new job and could just have it shipped here to me...but stupid system won't let me cancel without going through a gripe session with the store.

Doesn't come out till 10 November here.

i just hope mw2 is interesting enough to hold my attention till mag comes out

and went back to rfom the only game that i can stand playing

I figure that if I hate MW2 I can sell it on in time to catch the Christmas e-bay rush.

I tried going back to FoM but it was just horrible. I had forgotten how craptastic getting repeatedly LAARKed on Rooftops can be. R2 is now fast becoming a world of frustration (actually, it always has been) so I am hoping MW2 will be a welcome relief. As for the short campaign, the only one I have played was COD5 MW, and that was disappointingly short. If only R2's campaign could have been that short instead.

if your getting laarked on tdm
your playing it wrong
if your not in a party you probably shouldn't play tdm in the first place
if you are in a party and your getting laarke repeatedly your playing the map wrong
rooftop is a classic example of what people do wrong and y they die alot
you have to play map control on rooftops or your going to get laarked
control the flat roofs then they only have two spawn points
the streets or the broken building
they usually spawn at one or the other not both unless you go and kill them all
this limits them to one laarke spawn every so often instead of every spawn

a) I was in a team of randoms -- there's nobody I know playing it when I was on -- which means staying on the flat roofs was guaranteed death. Oh, and did I mention the incessant tagging?

b) but the broken down house and the street have 2 of the 3 LAARK spawns, don't they?

the street has one and the broken building has one
and they only spawn your opponents at one or the other unless your team pushes to hard
the reason you take the flat roofs is you control the alleys and its easier to shot down at someone trying to make their
way through the alley than for them to shot up while advancing

basically it pins your opponents into one spot with only one laarke spawn
while you control both 40mil spawns both arc chargers and 3 out of 4 laarke spawns
it takes discipline and unselfishness from your teammates which is the only people you should be playing with anyways
at least that's how i play because it limits my deaths from noob weapons
which makes me happy

and if your getting tagged from the front you should be able to kill them
from behind its your own fault for letting them get there
don't move forward if its going to get you flanked
your just giving the easy kills

Turn your flashlight on to avoid getting laarked.

I only played 'cause R2 wouldn't let me play ANY games (refused to connect). As there were no friends playing I had to play with randoms. In the old days of [XX] we used to take and hold those flat roofs and it worked a treat. But in a random game there was no possibility. Maybe I should have just stuck to FFAs.

Im going to get this for Christmas (Hardened Version). It will be my first CoD game.

What does the hardened version have?

I saw the Prestige edition has some night vision goggles and a model head.

I just went for the cheapest option.

That's the version I ordered (I think) that comes with exclusive artwork and a download key for the original Call of Duty game remastered as DLC for the Ps3.

Yes. Basically everything BUT the nvg. And mofo your gonna have to teach me the ropes. I will have no idea what the hell to do. Oh i had 2 and 3 kds on mag the other day.

glad too mag is too easy to get good kd imo so is cod

even harder now with everyone being power weapons whores

It's easy, but confusing i have no idea what to do. Plus people have advantage they have scopes and better weapons.
