Yes, that's good to know. I hated R2 with a passion but I wonder if that was because I compared it to R1? I do wonder if it came out now I would be more accepting of it now I'm used to the CoD series?

One of my key questions will be how mappable the buttons are? Now I'm used to the CoD layout I would like to be able to keep them as similar as possible. I will probably get the next in the CoD series too so I don't want to have to keep switching. That was always my reason for not getting into CoD sooner as I was used to the FoM buttons.

R3's default button layout IS the COD layout (I think). Funny thing is, because it's Resistance I felt I had to swap the crouch and grenade buttons because in Resistance you always throw grenades with the circle button! Anyway, unlike COD, I think you can map any function to any button you like. All I did was use a custom layout slot and move grenade to circle from L2 and crouch from circle TO L2.

I have one question... if you have three weapons equip, how do you get to the third one?
Run out of ammo in the other two?

I think the button but I could be wrong. Just keep pressing it and it will cycle through them. I did it yesterday and is the only thing I press to change guns so I assume its that.

That's the odd thing.
I'll go through two weapons and that will be it.
I'll try double tapping it,
I'll try other buttons + triangle
But i cant gt to my third weapon!

hmmm then I have no idea. I'll have to see next time I play if i can live long enough to pick up 2 weapons.

There is a perk that allows you to have two or three weapons.

The game comes with "use triangle to cycle weapons" turned off by default. If you switch this on (it's on the main options screen) then pressing triangle will cycle you one-by-one through ALL the weapons you hold. This is fine for the three you start out with, but if you pick up any along the way these will get included so you could end up surprising yourself when you think you are switching back to your Rossmore, say, and instead find a Mutator in your hands.

If you leave the setting at its default then the only way to select your third weapon is through the weapon wheel which you access by pressing and HOLDING triangle. Be warned though, it ends up working like this:

Say I load out with Deadeye in Primary slot, Rossmore in Secondary, and Carbine in Tertiary. I spawn and want my Carbine straight away. So I press and hold Triangle and select Carbine from the weapon wheel. What this has done is swap my Secondary and Tertiary weapons around. So now, when I press triangle once I will go back to the Deadeye. Press it again and I go to Carbine again. If I want my Rossmore back I will have to go to the weapon wheel again. BUT, if I do this WHILE HOLDING THE CARBINE, it will swap the Deadeye for the Rossmore so I will now have Rossmore as the primary, Carbine as the Secondary, and Deadeye as the Tertiary.

At first I thought pressing and holding triangle would let me replace my currently selected wepaon with a new one from the wheel, but instead what it does is first move you to your next loadout slot and THEN does the weapon swap.

So last night I finally got my combat armour killstreak reward! And I got it twice! Also, at the very start of one round I zoomed straight to a 7-kill streak just with the Atomizer! I lol'd.

I dl'd the beta. Damn, does it take a lot of bullets to kill someone.

And I LOVE it. Makes people accurate. If they cant be accurate, they will have their target turn around and get the kill in a 1 vs 1.
It rewards accuracy and patience. I like.
